    Buffalo chicken nachos
    Deirdre C.

Stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. I it nachos and she got tacos. Our server was great and the owner came over a few times to chat and tell us about some specials. There was live music as well which was nice!

Live music was playing at the bar while sports were on. A loud environment but a good sports bar. Our appetizers and Ashburner pizza was tasty and the service was good.

I really enjoyed my dinner yesterday with my sister. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We decided to share a cheese steak with fries - which came out hot and delicious, plenty for two - so we could also share the Irish Blue Cheese Tater Tots. They were delicious, as well. They came out hot and crispy, and the blue cheese gave a kick of uniqueness! They also had live music going on at the bar area, and plenty of seating for those who wanted to sit outside. Check them out!

Nice for parties since the upstairs room is huge with a lot of tables and has a private bar, for open bar. The upstairs also has a little area to set up a DJ booth and also a Large flat screen TV on the wall, need be to play slide shows for parties. I came for my mom and dads 50th wedding anniversary and had a great time. We were able to arrive an hour earlier so we can set up/decorate and all, and make sure everything was set for when people started to arrive. We had a 3 hour open bar party and was served chicken parm, turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, salad and dinner rolls. The food tasted so good and everyone seemed so satisfied licking their plates clean. When it came to the drinks, we had the premium open bar so there was a nice variety of liquors, mixed drinks and bottles to choose from. I had also come here for regular dinner and enjoyed the food and the service.

Roast beef, seeded roll, Aujus too. Ask for Xtra chips!

Sunday with many TVs, live band crackling diamonds, you'd think you're in SeaIsle. Friendly servers and patrons, all eating and dancing. Having roast beef with home made chips. 5 stars!

9/14/19 Review of Private Party Great experience here at the Ashburner Inn. I went for a private party for my soon to be son in law. His family has had many parties/events held here and it's easy to see why! There is a beautiful banquet room upstairs that has ample room and was elevated in elegance with black table linens and gold napkins. Plenty of room to the bar (at one end of the room) and the buffet at the other end. We enjoyed the staff very much, there were two older ladies serving the buffet, a dark haired lady helping to take plates away, and the bartender. Everyone we encountered was polite and attentive. It was like being at a family home with your favorite aunt taking care of you. The buffet was delicious. We had fresh salad, rolls w butter, baked ziti style pasta, sausage Italian style, fresh al dented green beans, chicken parmigiana and salmon. I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon it was mouthwatering with a fresh lemony taste. Cooked to perfection! The chicken parmigiana was "melt in your mouth" tender with a robust thick sauce. If I lived closer I would love to go back as a customer. A bonus is that they have a parking lot in the rear of the restaurant and an additional parking lot across the street on Ashburner Ave.

As always I love this joint. I ordered GrubHub from here tonight because my son is home for Christmas and he loved the nachos. We ordered through GrubHub which was a huge mistake- turns out GrubHub has them on there illegally and they charged me twice for the same food when my son tried to add something on to the order. Luckily the people at Ashburner's realized it was the same order twice and only made one and only charged once. Once I realized it charged my card twice, I called them to let them know of the mix up but they already realized it on their own. For now on I'll order from them personally or pick it up. I had a migraine today which is why I tried through GrubHub. I spoke to two different ladies who were so nice to even get the receipt to tell me exactly what they ended up charging so I could fight it with GrubHub. I did end up getting my $ back from grub hub and the food was amazing like always. The bbq chicken nachos are so good and they're huge. They come in a pizza box and my son is like I don't think that's our order.

One of our favorite places to go - especially Thursday night with the family for 1/2 price pizzas. The ashburner is divided into 3 dining areas. One surrounding the bar with high tops and one separate for family dining - then for those who enjoy the outdoors, a nice patio area with umbrellaed tables. We have only had poor service one time and even then she was probably just having a bad day. Everyone else has been a pleasure. Darling older woman who is like one of the family comes over to speak with the clientele often. Her warm smile is the heart of this place and PUT YOUR PHONES AWAY because family time is important and when in her dining room she will politely remind you to engage with those whom you are with! Food is consistent. Portions are plentiful. Prices are average. Atmosphere is pleasant. We keep coming back to ashburner time after time and would recommend to anyone.

It was our first time there & we like it. It's outdoor seating & our waitress is a sweetheart. The food were good & we enjoyed our lunch. Will be back soon.

She loved the salmon rolls, filled with tons of salmon and so tasty. I loved the beef cheesesteak, general tso's and the crab rolls. One thing about these rolls is they are packed with yummyness and perfectly crispy on the outside and not at all greasy. The dessert rolls were all amazing but those funnel fries were so good! Staff was super friendly and suggested some items and you can tell they love what they do, all smiles. Meer was super sweet and blessed us with the sauces which they have plenty to choose from can't name them all but my fave was the habanero one. I'm due to get back and get me some mo!!! They have three seating options- their inside bar area, an outdoor covered area, and an inside dining room. We sat in their dining room which was nice until more guests came in and it became increasingly harder to carry a normal conversation. That aside, the staff was super nice, attentive, and great with menu suggestions. Now the food- damn (excuse the language). The portions were HUGE (the sticky rice bowl easily could have fed two people) and delicious. We ordered the tempura green beans side as an appetizer along with the bangin' shrimp appetizer. The shrimp was in a more cornmeal-like batter versus a tempura based you would have expected but good nonetheless. And you can't go wrong with tempura green beans with various dipping sauces. For entrees, the turkey reuben was crispy yet saucy, paired with coleslaw, grapes and pickles. The sticky rice bowl was packed with all your favorites and topped with crispy wonton chips (yum). Coupled with a trio of sauces, you also have eight protein options to select from. Aside from the noise level, good experience overall. Side note for new guests- the entrance is in the back, up a long ramp, NOT on the street side.

Have to say that while it appears to be an amusement park from beyond the fence with massive water slides and multiple aquamarine pools for various uses; from within it makes more sense and is actually quite attractive in a hyperactive way. Happy Hour with half price drinks was a good deal, and the bar food offerings were also well designed to complement the alcoholic drinks, if not all that tasty, nor compelling in their own right. So many people in a relatively small space around the bar, that conversation was a bit challenging. Plenty of alternative distractions among the many "beautiful" folks who enjoy being the center of attention, and know how to do it right, especially when encouraged with beverage. With music playing in the background the experience was a mixed bag. Clearly, the plan is a bit over the top, and made for people with kids or those who like this glitterati experience. Yet, there was a full house that evening, and business was booming. Covid put an end to the crowds for the last year, but I suspect the club will be back in action full tilt come vaccinations and reduced mask wearing. I'm the more cautious type, and will wait a while before accepting my next invitation.

We admired the little smiley face on the pancakes! They were so cute. The breakfast sandwich was good, but just okay. It wasn't anything special. I thought the sauce was hot sauce, but it was more of a barbecue sauce dip. I appreciated being able to sub the avocado in the sandwich over the meat without an extra charge to make it vegetarian. Overall, I get the hype, but try to get there early to avoid a long wait. The pancakes are delightful, but very sweet and syrup soaked, so I could only eat about a quarter of it. I'd recommend splitting! Also the cost wasn't bad either - the whole meal for three entrees, taxes, and a tip was pretty average for brunch in the city, costing us each (we split all the food in half) roughly $30.
