Filet Medallions and ricotta filled gnocchi in a gorgonzola cream sauce... heavy but to die for.
    Kurt V.

Rarely do I give a 5 star review but this place is a GEM... the food is beyond incredible! Never had a bad meal here. I've gotten the Vern Wings (great), the french onion burger (incredible), and tonight was one if not the greatest dish I've ever had. The filet medallions with ricotta gnocci in a gorgonzola cream sauce. Was it 3,000 calories and 100+ grams of fat? Probably lol. Worth it. If I had to choose a last meal... this may be it.

The bartenders are great, the food is delicious, but if it's just two of you be prepared to sit at a table with plexiglass between you and other diners, which made me VERY uncomfortable. we've decided we're not going back unless we can get a seat at the bar or one of the tables along the wall in the front by the bar as I just don't like sitting on top of people. She Crab Soup is wonderful!! However, because of the food, the drinks and the people we will be back.

Looks like we were a couple days early for crabs so we had oysters and calamari then my son had mozzarella sticks and I had broiled scallops. The broiled scallops were a bit oily, I wiped them off in a napkin. Then we drove by yesterday after already having dinner and saw the crabs sign out. We will have to go back. Dagwoods is always a pretty solid choice .

First time here. Food: everything I ordered was very delicious. The mini crab cakes were one of the best I've had - no fillers - just a little bit pricey. Service: I arrived when they were a bit busy and there was a luncheon upstairs. Overall, the service was good, and the server made sure to check on me throughout my meal. Ambiance: There was music playing in the background, inside, which is on the louder side. There is an option to sit outside as well

Went two times this past week and my sister and I enjoyed it both times. Such a nice menu with variety - we enjoyed the blackened salmon, fried Jersey tomatoes with crab, the lobster pot, and the gnocchi with chicken as our main courses. The seafood fries and the cheese steak Pierogies were also delicious and plenty to share as appetizers. I have to add the slushy blood orange drink was yummy and refreshing, as well! The staff during both visits were awesome - very friendly and attentive and helpful (to my questions). There are two sections - a dining room and a separate area with a bar. Can be crowded but worth it! Check them out! PS sign up for their texts - that's how we found out about the $20 whole lobster pot and other deals!

Dagwoods is always pretty busy especially during prime time hours. I came here for a Saturday late lunch and there was no wait. They have the best she crab soup in the area! Also got an order of boneless bites; which were more like tenders and the portion size was massive! Great overall.

    Mama G 's Meatballs

Really only had Mama G's Meatballs and boy can I tell you do not skip over this treat on the menu! I've had the platter and the sandwich and both are so good! The fresh ricotta in the middle of the platter is so good! The meatballs taste like your grandmothers family recipe! The garlic bread is a great finishing touch! The sandwich is actually those same famous meatballs sandwiched between that same garlic bread. I have a hard time choosing between the 2 but usually end up with the platter because of that cheesy goodness! If I'm the area give them a try, you will not be disappointed! There's a bar upstairs but seating is limited.

Yes, I do think this is well worth a try. I stopped in to see a friend, who suggested we have a drink around the corner. This place is off the beaten trail. Its warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel comfortable--one long bar on one side and high tables with chairs on the other side of the room. The lights dim with the TVs on. The place was not even half full, but other patrons were at the bar. We ordered drinks: me a White Russian, my friend a draft beer, plus an order of fried pickles. My friend was a fried pickle virgin. So we ordered them, and there were enough for three people to eat. They were perfect, crispy, and hot with a ranch dressing. We both enjoyed them and our drinks. I would come back again and try something else off the bar menu. They serve American pub food, and cheese steaks, and they get fresh seafood in every day. Its great to watch a game or just to hang with friends and family. Cash or cards. It's clean and has a dining room for more formal events with an extensive menu. It's kid-friendly, but I would not take them into the bar room. I did not see or hear any children in the bar part of the building. That's just my opinion

Steak with Gnocchi and Smoked Gorgonzola

The food was delicious and the service was good. My sister and I go here often . Always enjoyable! I am sure we will be back again. I had the steak with gnocchi in a flavorful cream sauce. The steak was tender but a little on the medium rare side and I prefer medium. The gnocchi was delicious! Dagwoods is a sports bar with a full bar and tvs for the games. Check them out!

Good food. A bit crowed but really great menu. Easy parking and the music was good too. Really enjoyed eating at this place. The waitresses were down to earth and funny. A lot of local People but u can't survive on just locals so word of mouth must be bringing them in because this place was crowed and it was a week night. My friend Kim has known about Dag's for awhile but finally suggested we go for a meal and I'm damn happy she finally did The menu is diverse and the soups are da bomb. Actually everything on the menu was tasty and was brought out quickly and was hot so no microwave being used at Dagwood's.

Our waitress was very friendly and ended up leaving a pitcher of water once she saw we were parched. The salad bar wasn't huge, but there were some cold dishes along with salad fixings, which is part of the vintage charm. The bread (not complementary) was also a huge round loaf great for sharing. The decor's medieval vibe is very charming and it's nice looking around the room. The kitchen is open to the dining room with big brick ovens. I had the prime rib which was big and juicy (the baked potato was fine but the Yorkshire puff was bland and barely editable soaked in juice - may just be I don't like this food). The steak came with a giant onion ring which was delightful, and it was cooked perfectly tender. This place thrives in your meat and potato staples, so not a lot of side options except what's at the salad bar. For dessert, we had to try the peach melba delight, which was a giant goblet of vanilla ice cream, peaches in juice, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Deceptively simple but extremely tasty and great to share There's a large bar area and the bathrooms are nice. This place is great for larger groups that include older people. The food is good and the atmosphere did feel like it was from another time, but we had a good time, and it's nice to see a place like this still around.

The calamari was perfectly crisp and came with the unexpected bonus of onion rings, which were ever-so-lightly battered and perfectly crunchy. And once again, the sauces were superb. The boys shared a cheese pizza, half pepperoni, and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the burger, and yes, I stole a bite--and yes, to no one's surprise, it was amazing. We also ordered the charred broccoli after seeing everyone rave about it online. They were NOT wrong. Creamy, smoky, charred perfection. And finally... drumroll please... the 10 oz. smoked Duroc pork chop! OH. EM. GEEE. Perfectly charred on the outside and incredibly juicy inside, sitting in the most delicious smoky morita-apricot glaze and topped with a bright cucumber-melon salad with mint and blue basil. The contrast was perfection! The rich, smoky pork, the sweet and slightly spicy glaze, and that cool, fresh salad on top. Every bite had the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Easily one of the best pork chops I've ever had. As wonderful as the food was, the service somehow made the experience even better.
