After 19 months... Scar is is horrible, skin is saggy

I had a thigh and arm lift in October of 2020. I reached out to Dr.Orlando and was told to come in only to be told they couldn't help me. Mind you this was three days post opt. I ended up in special wounds unit at a hospital. I was in and out for 6 months! No one ever tried to contact me, help me or even check in on me! The only contact I've ever had from someone was on this platform; nothing ever came of it. I'm sad to say I struggle with my self-esteem as my arms and legs were botched. I'm not saying all Athenix are terrible, but I would definitely steer clear of this Beaverton location. I'm scarred for life. Reconsider this location.

I had the EXTREME PLEASURE of having Dr Bi perform an emergency surgery on my hand. I was in my…read moreroom after surgery and she came in and explained to me what she did. She never spoke to me as in I was stupid and was so kind. About a year later she performed Carol tunnel surgery on my hand, followed by the surgery on the other. 2 years later I smashed my hand and required yet another surgery and she fixed that one too. 3 f days later my 40 pound Bengal decided he DID NOT like the dressing on my hand and felt he needed to attack it to get it off his Hooman and damaged the stitches. I didn't think much of it and just redressed it. 2days after that the hand swelled up and was red and A pain I can't even describe. I called her office and spoke with her answering service. Within 15 minutes she called me and told me to come into the office immediately. It was the 4th of July BTW. She took 1 look at it and told me it was infected and she needed to open and clean it and determine the damage. So she numbed it up and opened it rite there. It looked and smelled horrid. She got it cleaned up and repaired the damage. She gave me antibiotics and pain meds. Do you know of ANY DR that will leave a family celebration to RUSH to their office and rescue a SERIOUSLY CLUMSY patient. IMO, that PROVES how much she RESPECTS and LOVES her Patients. I trust her so much I have send my LOVED ones to her and have recommended more of my friends than I can say. If I could give her 500 stars I would. She is a KIND, CARING, Dr that has a true concern about her Patients. I trust her more than I can say. She is a rare combination of, COMPETENCE, PROFESSIONAL, HONESTY, and flat out AWESOMENESS. I have NEVER had a bad experience with her and TRUST her enough that we had her do my husband's surgeries. Last year I had a medium size lump on my forehead AND a tumor in KY bicep. She removed both and is so talented that you can't even see the scar on my face. The tumor in my arm went down to the bone and she handled that like a BOSS. SERIOUSLY, if you need a surgery on your hand or faxe, there is nobody I could recommend more. I Just can't imagine allowing another Dr being better. I know she does plastic surgery, implants, and several other services. She is just AMAZING. Trust me, I don't think you will find anyone better. 50 stars a million thumbs up and my undying and heart

I'm so pleased with the team and the results! Procedures: Breast reduction, including removal of ADH cells Diastasis recti repair Panniculectomy I was so impressed with the care provided by Dr. Cober and team. A few reasons why they were so amazing: I was worried and uncomfortable going into my consultation, but those feelings were quickly waived as I felt immediately comfortable with Dr. Cober. I didn't feel judged whatsoever. I felt I was in the right place, with a doctor that had very capable hands. It was recommended that I get a mammogram before my breast reduction. Not required, but recommended. This mammogram resulted in abnormal cells that had to be removed. Dr. Cober was incredibly supportive and referred me to an excellent oncologist, Dr. De Melena, who was able to work hand in hand with Dr. Cober. Without skipping a beat, he pivoted and had Dr. De Melena piggyback my original surgery to remove the bad cells at the same time, minimizing the need for additional worry, panic, planning, or surgery.. This was, without a doubt, life saving. Dr. Cober and his team held my hand through the entire process, and were responsive when questions arose. I sent the team a message on Christmas, and it was Dr. Cober himself who responded. That is above and beyond excellent service. The results of my mommy-overhaul were better than I could have ever imagined. I am no longer in chronic pain, I have healthy breasts, and my abdominal muscles work appropriately. I am sincerely grateful for Tanasbourne Plastic Surgery. They, as a team, have changed my life tremendously. Dr. Cober is without question an amazing surgeon.

I waited too long to do this review but it all keeps coming back to my mind and I feel it's the…read moreright thing to do. In October of 2023 I went in for a routine mammo and my primary doctor found that I had chronic bilateral silicone implant rupture with silicone in my lymph nodes. I had been experiencing chronic fatigue, hair loss and joint pain. In other words, Breast Implant Illness. I was told by my primary that I should try to get them removed promptly. So I started looking for a surgeon. I instantly wanted to go back to doctor Mia Skourtis who had put my implants in 10 years prior because I loved her and she did a great job on my surgery. However, she was not available for several more months. I started searching for the next best thing and came across Dr. John S. Lee in Portland Oregon. His website and reviews seemed great over all and the consultation went good with friendly staff. I thought I had made a great decision. His office told me that they did not take insurance but that if I payed upfront they would help me by giving me a discount and the insurance codes to file my claim myself. So I went for it and had surgery in November of 2023. A few days after surgery I came back to the office to take off the bandages for the first time. I sobbed. Dr Lee was not even there and it was just me, my husband and a nurse. I had implant removal with a lift and did not want implants back in but was looking for just more of a healthy and a natural look. Dr. Lee removed the implants, capsulectomy and did a lift but he left my right breast nonexistent. Both breasts are super small because I was small before and then you add a lift and you will lose a half cup size or so. But the right side is completely flat. So as I said, I sobbed that day and the nurse told me to give it time and they will "fluff". It has been two years at least the one has never fluffed. After that visit I walked out feeling sad but hopeful. In the meantime I continued on trying to file the insurance claim. This is where everything else fell apart. It took me almost 7 months to finally get a resolve. After trying to file the claim dozens of times all while trying to heal emotionally and physically, nothing was working for me to get my money back through insurance and his office became so rude to me. I made dozens of phone calls, countless hours on hold with insurance and one day I was told that he was actually "in my network" and that he should have never taken my money but that by law he was supposed to follow his binding contract and work through insurance. At that point I felt so taken advantage of and neglected as a patient. His receptionist Gina was so rude to me. I have all of the emails, results, screenshots from my medical claims, etc. After almost 7 months the final day came that I threatened their office with a lawyer because I was tired and upset. She finally reimbursed me the money owed back to me that they should not have taken. Since then I can see they went through my insurance as they should have done and got their money through the binding contract they had. Besides all of this I have ongoing pain in my right breast and have had to see so many doctors, trying to get resolve on my pain. Dr. Lee has never personally reached out to me and the lack of patient care on his part has left me with no help from the doctor that operated on my body. I would not recommend. My advice, do your own research and talk with insurance. If a doctor is in your network they have a legal binding contract wit the insurance company. It doesn't mean they have to operate on you but if they do then they have to bill insurance. Also, talk very clearly about expected results and what they can do if it is not ok.

I have wanted breast augmentation since I was a teenager and realized then that it just wasn't in…read moremy genes to have large boobs naturally. Over the years, I kept thinking about it but didn't have the money or I felt I needed to lose "x" amount of weight. Well at 48, I was in a great place financially, found the Love of my Life and my Life Partner and he loved me just the way I was physically. But... I decided to go for it because I knew it would make me feel better about ME. Dr Connall was recommended to me by a friend who saw him for a tummy tuck (among other things) and she raved about him. I looked online and was impressed that you could actually get a real quote from the site and the price included all pre & post op appointments and the anesthesia - there are NO hidden fees. I scheduled my appointment and after my consultation, I felt exactly the same about him and his team. I happily scheduled my appointment and then Covid struck hard. So after 3 months from the original appointment, I was finally able to get it done in June. I couldn't be happier with the results! I was in minimal pain and the pain pills prescribed to me were fine and I had enough of them. You leave in a minimal support front closed bra and after the first day, I took it off and haven't worn a bra since! I was off work for 5 days - I work at a desk in front of a computer - and that was fine. You will be feeling great after the 2nd day and you do need to remember that you just had surgery and to not do too much. Dr Connall called within a week to check on me and I just had my first in person follow up yesterday. He was happy with how things were healing and the progress of the implant settling. However, warning...if you are going significantly bigger...please remember that you will have chest muscle swelling and the breast skin needs to stretch for the implants to fall and settle. For some reason I thought I would look like Barbie right after...ummm...no...lol. But I am 5 weeks after surgery and they look great now and I know will look even better in the next few months. I would also recommend getting some nipple cream as they will get super sensitive as the skin stretches also. I found some organic breastfeeding nipple cream on Amazon and it has been amazing. All in all....if you ever thought you wanted to have it done...DO IT!!! I am so happy with the results and super happy I chose Dr Connall and his team!

A Cautionary Story -- What I Wish I'd Known Before My Breast Augmentation…read more In 2022, I finally decided to get my breast augmentation -- something I had dreamed about for years. I did my research carefully and chose this clinic because the surgeon promoted a "unique technique" that supposedly eliminates the need for a post-surgical compression bra during recovery. That promise was a huge part of why I trusted him with my body. At first, everything seemed fine. But once the swelling settled and I began to really look at my results, I noticed something was off. My left breast had shifted far to the side -- so much that when I lie flat, it literally slides toward the outer edge of my body. Standing up without a bra, my breasts sit noticeably wide apart. When I put on a bra and pull them together, I love the look. But without it, the symmetry and shape are disappointing -- and completely opposite of what I was told to expect. When I shared my concern during my final follow-up, the surgeon brushed it off with, "Side boob is a good look." Maybe for some women it is, but not when one breast has migrated halfway toward my armpit. That's not style -- that's structure gone wrong. I waited a few years to be sure my body had healed before reaching out again, hoping for an honest conversation about possible correction. Instead, I was told I'd have to pay $190 just for a consultation -- and that they don't offer complimentary post-surgery implant checks, even years later. I had assumed they would at least verify that the implants were still properly positioned and safe. For context, most women are required to wear a post-surgical compression bra (a supportive medical garment that holds the implants in place and helps the chest heal evenly). I wasn't asked to wear one because the surgeon claimed his "no-bra recovery method" made it unnecessary. In hindsight, I wish I had worn one anyway -- it might have prevented my outcome.
