Lentil soup, lamb burger, fries, a glass of wine
    Brittany P.

Food was delicious- lamb burger was medium rare & cooked perfectly. Lentil soup was good. The waiters were helpful and suggested menu items well. We had a 15 min wait with no reservation & was seated inside at a both. The restaurant itself is trendy and beautiful on the inside. I would visit this restaurant again just to order the lamb burger- it was excellent!

After hiking in carefree, we were looking for a new spot to eat. We found this little gem of a restaurant with authentic Greek food. The place is Family run and the service was impeccable. The ambience outside was beautiful as we watched the sun go down. We enjoyed a beautiful glass of wine on their happy hour special and authentic Greek food. It's our new favorite place. Highly recommend

Ice cold dolmathes (rice and herbs)

I wasnt alive when Pompeii got zinged with volcano ash, but if I was, then I'd be real irked if this was my last meal. I love greek food and thus severly disappointed here. The dolmathes were nearly frozen. I say nearly because while they did not have them in the freezer, the server noted that sometimes they can be really cold like that due to the fridge itself. They did a heat lamp which made it, well one stayed like a rock and the other two clearly made a run for it because they escaped the lamp. The hummus they scoop out. Sheesh at least make it look like it's not an ice cream scoop. It was ice cold too. The pita was good. Dishes I had the Athenian. A. One part was overcooked and dry. I had to ask for a steak knive and even then had to cut it with more than an easy stroke. In the Pic it's the smaller piece. The other side? Undercooked. Yes it was white and no pink, but it definitely needed another minute or two. The dish mentions a lemon butter sauce. Mine didn't have it. The orzo was bland. I ditched the veggie and since the only switches was one of the sides, went greek potatoes. Again who's in the kitchen? Mr. Heat? Two were overcooked. My dogs have sharp teeth, I do not. The spouse had the gyro wrap. She ate 50%. Said it was mostly meat and limited sauce on it. I strongly recommend making reservations. We didn't and sat outside with misters. It was by far the best thing to happen while eating there. We ordered ice teas. Never got a refill. Water yes. Tea? No.

    Chicken and Lamb skewer platters

Great food and friendly service. They have reservations which is nice when it is busier. I got the chicken skewers platter and it was very flavorful and generous portion. I liked how moist the rice was and a lot of pita which I love. My husband got the lamb skewer platter and asked to substitute hummus for the rice which they did. Maybe the Greeks really don't do hummus as he said it had an odd nutmeg flavor but he loved the rest of the meal. I had the Pinot Grigio which was nice from the Dolomites region. We will be sure to come here again next time we are in town.

Stopped here again for happy hour. Sat on the patio and they were very accommodating when we asked to have the heater turned on when it got cool later in the evening. Nice selection of appetizers to share and great service

Staying at the nearby Civana wellness resort, our party of five was eager to get off the property for dinner on Saturday night. We decided on Athens on Easy Street and made a reservation in advance. It happened to rain right around the time of our reservation and with the downpour must have come a ton of hungry folks from the nearby art fair... So when we arrived, we were told there would be a wait. We made the most of it and ordered a mezze platter appetizer and some drinks at the bar. The wait wasn't horrible and we were seated slightly after our drinks arrived... the service was super attentive and the food was great too! We shared the eggplant and zucchini chips and a variety of entrees amongst us. I enjoyed the Greek Salad with gyro meat as an entree and shared a bottle of white with some of the group. I would definitely return... great local business to support if you are in the area!

We loooved this place! Everyone from our server to the busboy was so friendly. The food was amazing and such a good value! The dips (especially the whipped spicy feta!) and our server gave us wonderful recommendations (lamb kleftiko), drinks were good, patio was lovely with a live flutist. The spanakopitakia was so good that we had to try the baklava, and it was SO good, literally the best baklava I've ever had in my life. A little less sweet with hints of orange and clove..and SO flaky. 10/10 will return! Oh and the pastitsio was incredible!!

Easy relaxed Mediterranean feast Athens on Easy Street is a Greek restaurant in Carefree in the sundial plaza. They offer an extensive Mediterranean menu that pleased the meat lovers in our group as well as the vegetarian. The night we dined, there was a lovely violinist playing on the patio. To start, flaming cheese is always fun to add some tableside flair. As another appetizer, we had a Mezze board that comes with Pita, and you choose three or six dips. Torokafteri was my favorite. It's a spicy whipped feta dip with chili flakes and EVOO. I've gotta have spanakopita, so I ordered that as my meal, along with some curried chicken skewers. Delicious. My husband loves lamb, so he really enjoyed his Lamb Kleftiko. It was slow roasted lamb with potatoes and peppers. The favorite cocktail seemed to be the Me Mou Piece (tequila, watermelon, Tonkatsu, lime, honey). I also really enjoyed the Desert Fig as an after dinner drink (Cafe Bourbon, fig, and bitters).

They gave us a number and we found a table to sit down at. After ordering, our food was delivered to the table in about 5 minutes. For myself, I ordered a Greek Salad wrap. My husband ordered the Great Greek Gyro (lamb) with feta fries. The food was unbelievable - especially the feta fries. I could not stop eating them. The restaurant was bright and clean. Parking was plentiful because The Great Greek is located in a shopping center. This is a chain across the country and I definitely would go to another one if I was nearby.

When you enter the Gilbert Gateway Towne Center, you have to maneuver through tricky shared parking to find a space. We dined half past 6pm on Memorial Day, so thankfully parking was easier as I believe some businesses were closed for the holiday. Though parking is tight, there is no shortage of seating in this establishment. Some bench-style seating as well as chairs to accommodate whichever you prefer. What We Ordered: ~ The Great Greek Gyro (no onions) x2: My boyfriend remarked that the gyro meat tastes like it was reheated, which I also noticed it slightly tougher than a more authentic one I've had previously. Still a very solid gyro given this is a chain and fast service place with a generous portion. ~ Sides with our meals: French fries and lemon potatoes Personally, the lemon potatoes are a pass next time as very buttery and heavy. The French fries however, were fantastic! They appear to be twice fried to have an extra crunchiness. Overall, if I'm in the area and in the mood for Mediterranean, then I'd pop in to The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. P.s. Don't forget to add your number for rewards via Toast!

It's very unassuming, set off the street in a semi-residential area with attached parking lot. We arrived and there were many cars in the lot, which is always a hopeful sign. The restaurant itself is rather basic. Tile floors and a handful of tables and booths. There was one server at the time we were there, which was a Wednesday afternoon. We were greeted promptly and drink order taken. Quickly after that the restaurant began to fill. The menu is rather expansive and I opted the the Don Omar dinner which included falafel, lamb, beef and chicken, rice and a Greek salad which I subbed tabouli for. My friend had the chicken shawarma sandwich. Our entrees arrived within 10-15 minutes and were nice sized portions. My meal was essentially a sampler plate which I was grateful for, allowed all the different flavors. The falafel, while nicely seasoned, was too dry for my liking. I'd say the same about the lamb kebab...just a tad dry. However the beef and chicken was amazing, humus was fresh and well flavored and the tabouli salad was spot on. Pita bread which I'm hoping was made there, was light and airy and good chewiness. The rice was the perfect amount and well seasoned. My compadre enjoyed the chicken wrap as well. If it were me, I'd add garlic sauce and additional tabouli to this for perfection! Our server, whom I'm assuming is also the owner, was efficient and accommodating. Upon payment we were chitchatting and he mentioned they also own Don Omar Tacqeria! That's saved in my collection so guess that's another meal for another day! Seriously, Mediterranean food is rare in northern AZ and I'm happy to have found this place somewhat close! Definitely worth checking out. Sorry no photos, I was starving!!!
