I have been going to Greece since 1971, when I still lived in Italy, and as my nanny cooked a lot of greek food I have a close relationship with bamia, melitzanas, arni stifato and finding this restaurant was a bonus. Enjoyed a couple of ouzo with a drop of water, then had to have the flaming saganaki: graviera with a light flour dusting and deliciously melted with crispy bits. My favorite dishes have always been moussaka and pastistitsio: today I opted for the moussaka because I'm the only one to eat eggplant... my first bite took me back to lunch at the beach many years ago: very tasty and delicious. We also ordered the lamb cutlets, perfectly cooked and so good. Our server was attentive without being constantly hovering, which was great; the ambiance suited me perfectly as it was low key in the best way. The other diners sitting at their tables seemed local, the restaurant to pop in after a round of golf or just to enjoy a home cooked meal. I do enjoy these tucked away gems, their food as well as the service. I feel like we should come back on a saturday evening when the stage is set up and dancing might be happening :) At the end of the meal I only had room for my kafe metrio: I make it in my briki sometimes but it just tastes so much better made at the bar or restaurant. I've been here twice and is consistent but some of my favorites ( like the spanakopita and wrapped grape leaves) are no longer available. So sad cuz they were amazing! If you are in the mood for Greek food this won't disappoint. The highlight for me was the Dolmathes (warm) but the feta and olives were also a delicious appetizer. We split the chicken skewers which were good not great and paired them with the Greek potatoes which were salty lemon bombs of potato goodness. Ended the night with decent sized slice of baklava (good not great) and a very good tiramisu. The view over the park was beautiful at sunset. Alexander's is deeply delicious and wonderfully inviting. I am very lucky my in-laws have been coming here for years and the staff treats us all like family. Must orders are the lamb chops, green beans (in an amazing tomato sauce), saganaki (cheese on fire, table side!) and the dessert yogurt with sour cherries. The branzino is also a huge hit (though I didn't try it myself because I was too focused on the best lamb I have ever had). The Greek potatoes are a fav too. Do yourself a favor and eat at Alexander's. Stay and relax and enjoy the great service, comfortable restaurant (inside and outside seating) and amazing food. This restaurant need staff! The food is quite good and the portions are quite large....as it should be given the prices are a tad high. But it was literally the 2 owners running around and serving everyone. No waiters, no help. Therefore service was very slow! It's a lovely restaurant but if this was the case at only 1/3 full... There is a reason they do not post prices on their website. The prices are very high compared to all other Greek restaurants in and around the Scottsdale area. 30.00 for 6 grape leaves. A celebration turned into a fiasco! Went to celebrate my Dads 85th birthday. Table of 6 with unfriendly waiter that got worse. Total of 4 drinks were ordered, 2 beers & 2 glasses of wine. Bro in law had one of each. When check came we looked at bill, which seemed high. Charged us for 4 glasses of wine. Then checked again, we were charged an extra appetizer. That's almost a $75 mustaMinimal apology. My bro in law got upset. Waiter called him a drunk, of course he had 2 drinks served to him in 2 hours. We finally got bro in law out, I went to owner, who couldn't care less. Waiter then called me a drunk after having 1 beer in two hours! Minimal accountability on trying to upcharge us. Then calling us drunks when he served us total of 4 drinks in 2 hours.Most unfriendly staff. Seems suspicious that much of an overcharge. Outstanding Moussaka! Best I had ever had. I've eaten Moussaka in many places including Greece. Been searching for a decent dish ever since coming to AZ and unfortunately it's taken 18 years for me to stumble upon this place. Anyway the flavor of this dish is authentic old world and if you know you know. If you don't get your but over there. Great views of the fountain and lake! So go there then take a nice walk. If you are in FH, Alexander's Greek is a must try. We had a fabulous meal including grilled Octopus and the house made pork sausage to start both were both incredibly delicious. We split the lamb chops with fries (cooked in beef tallow) and ordered a side of their oven roasted Greek potatoes. It was our first time eating here. The service was very friendly. Amy did a wonderful job. We had a table next to the window overlooking the fountain - a beautiful view. My husband and I called to place a pickup order. When we asked if we could place our order, the employee that picked up the phone said "Depends." Depends on what?? Wild thing to say to a paying customer. When we arrived, my husband said the door was locked and the employee (I presume it was the same guy) grumpily opened the door and proceeded to give him attitude. He was also hovering over the check. This place appears to be family owned and you can tell by the amount of care and passion that goes into these recipes! Very fresh and delicious; a great find! We checked this place out because we were looking for something different in Fountain Hills and stumbled upon this due to the great Yelp score. We sat on the balcony and the view was great, even with the street fair. Nice view of the lake and the fountain, which erupted while we were there so that was a nice surprise. I need to apologize for that, because this food is amazing and this place deserves your business! This trip - The waiter was polite and helpful. He seemed COMPLETELY thrown off that people have allergies - and that he had two tables in a row with allergen questions. He seemed surprised that it was possible to be allergic to egg and not be a vegan. It's 2025 and *I* was thrown off with his reaction. We've eaten a few different things here and have enjoyed everything we've order. This last trip we ordered the Saganaki (which is SO good), dolmades (cold, because their lemon stuff on the warm ones have egg), and the hubs ordered a link of something that he really enjoyed (pork? I don't remember). We went for an early dinner and they weren't very busy. But, honestly, they DESERVE to be!!! They've got an outdoor patio that overlooks the fountain and park. It's on the east side of the building so doesn't get direct sun and it's a lovely place to be - whether permitting, of course. From start to finish this restaurant was AMAZING!! We sat outside and had a wonderful view of the fountain. But what really was special is how well made the food is. I am an international food enthusiast & this was hands down by far the best Greek I have ever had. We got the Greek salad & even the olives were delicious (I usually don't order dishes with olives because not a fan at all) then had the chicken skewer plate with the tzatziki sauce on the side. My taste palate has officially had authentic Greek & will 100% come back. The service was excellent. Always had what we needed without asking, friendly & family environment. I'll start by saying I love Greek food. I have tried multiple places in the Valley and Alexander's in Fountain Hills is on the top of my list. The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. My friends and I started with appetizers that were loaded with flavor. That included the tzatziki, hummus, and eggplant (love the eggplant!) with sublime pita bread. The chicken skewers included tender roasted chicken , and I selected a side of a rice and orzo pilaf. The spanakopita is one of the best I've had. We often save room for dessert, since the baklava is perfect, especially with a frappe or Greek coffee. I love supporting family businesses, and the family at Alexander's delivers great service to match the quality of their food. Constantine has been our waiter for every visit, and he is the best! I recently went to a friend's 40th birthday party at a pretty big house over in Fountain Hills and let's face it, when you go to a 40th birthday party, you know it can either go crazy or you never know what to expect. My crew, I rolled with, forgot to ask the host what was going to be served for dinner, and let's say it was not approved for my dairy free diet. Everything had dairy! Oof. So I found this restaurant nearby and ordered delivery. Also, note that this isn't reviewing the delivery. It's the actual food. I ordered the chicken kabob platter, which included a side dish. I opted for fries given that a heavy carb might have been gold to set as a base in my stomach for the planned events. The fries were unfortunately mixed in with the kabobs and ended up being soggy, outside of being pretty heavily salted. For transparency, I even started developing a heavier salt pallete due to the benefits of training harder, and these fries were still a bit over salted. The chicken kabobs were really good. Big cuts of protein that were really juicy (this was culprit to the soggy fries). The platter came with 4 kabobs. So I'll give a few generous stars for these kabobs. I was lucky enough to get a pita thrown into the bag, which had a burnt taste to the side they left on the grill to warm up. It was still edible to some degree but not the best burnt flavor. $40 later with 4 chicken kabobs, soggy fries, and a semi-burnt pita, I was left underwhelmed. read more

We really enjoyed this restaurant in fountain Hills... We're a little bit of Greek food connoisseurs and thought they did an excellent job. The view from the balcony was awesome and the service was attentive. These Dolmades were a perfect appetizer and were fresh with nicely seasoned minced meat and rice. They were quite tasty. we had the Athenian combo, which was a really good sampler of lamb, chicken and pork.. And we ended dessert with the baklava, which was really flaky and tasty.
