It was my first time here, and the cashier did a great job explaining the menu to me and helping me decide what to order. The veggie pita I ordered came filled with lettuce, tomato, onion, hummus, and tzatziki. It was served warm and so delicious! I would definitely order it again. The restaurant interior is fairly bare, but there are two comfortable booths available along with other chairs and tables. read more

Gyros fast and with a smile. The young lady working had a great attitude and was very friendly greeting every customer as they came in. She represented the business well. The place is spacious and relaxed. With calming music. The Gyro (does anyone know the proper pronunciation) was amazing. The only thing that could have made it better would be to use lamb instead of beef. She tried to defend the beef saying it was better than lamb but we all know that's not true lol. I'll definitely stop in again! read more

I don't know what kind of crack is in the gyros pita wraps but just know my unborn child will be made of gyros. That's how much I've been eating it during this pregnancy and it's delicious. This place is incredible!! Anytime, my friend I come here the same girl is here taking orders, she knows exactly what we want and she is soooo friendly! Today, we called in our order, but we arrived a little later than expected. It was still really good. I would recommend only calling in your order order five minutes before you arrive so that your food is in there sitting and waiting. They do tend to get a little busy in the afternoon, but it's never anything super terrible. It's always clean and tiddy. read more

I really love going to Gyros Plus, it's in a very convenient to me location off Northsight BLvd. The staff are very friendly and the smell is so intoxicating when you walk in. Everything is very clean and the view to the kitchen reveals the kitchen is spotless. A very large menu with all the Greek favorites, everything that we have trued is delicious, fresh and tasty! Good food. Just ordered for take out. Was quoted a price for cash and a price for debit. But when picking up food,they tried to okiedoke me and said 57 some dollars when 5 minutes before they said 43 and then acted like they made a mistake. Yeah they did because I will tell everyone that they are not trustworthy and they know it. Not how I like to conduct business. read more

I ordered here yesterday. So delicious. I ordered a chicken plate, seasoned chicken not dry moist delicious chicken, yellow rice with sautéed belly pepper and onions. So much flavor. This is a COVID-19 Take-Out Review Gyros Plus is a very good Mediterranean/ Greek restaurant, that is currently doing a strong takeout business. You go in one way and exit another. The only short coming is the milling around of customers inside, waiting for their food to be ready. For our midweek dinner, we ordered a couple of Gyros (see photos), Greek Fries, some Falafel balls, a Side Greek Salad and their Chicken & Rice Platter. We found everything to be very tasty, while the Chicken was exceptional. The rice tasted of real broth. Nice. We paid $47 and thought that was more than fair for our tasty haul. Enjoy! read more

Hands down the best gyros in AZ (that I have ever come across). Clean restaurant. Great customer service. Convenient location not too far off 101 and FLW blvd. When I've tried something else I'll update but I'm guessing it will be more of the same. I can say however that I do not recommend the burger spot that's like a pop up within the restaurant. The burgers were unremarkable including the vegan one. Go for the Greek food. read more

SUCH YUMMY DELICIOUS FOOD! Wonderful service. Family owned and operated- welcoming, friendly, kind. Felt right at home. Have been trying to eat here for a while, but I always seem to be in that area on weekends. Glad I finally got the chance to eat their food bc it was so damn good!!! Closed early despite accepting online orders. This can go wrong in so many ways, and in a way it would be stealing peoples hard earned cash. Says they're open M-F until 7PM on the door and lighted sign. But doors are locked and the shop is dark as if everyone just went home! Oh by the way it's 5:50! This was an Uber eats delivery. Chicken pita was really good. Gyro my hubbie ate & said it was the best he's had since Greece. Wow what a compliment!! Onion rings were also great. Fries were missing. Had the veg sampler platter. Baba Ganouch was missing. Humus was fair , falafel not hood. Dolmas was good. Greek salad was good. Really happy to find this gem. read more

This place gets busy at lunch time .. there was a line of people when I arrived and then a bit of a wait for my food. Worth the wait .. very tasty gyro plate .. the Greek salad was fresh, crunchy lettuce nicely dressed.. yum! The meat was flavorful, the rice didn't have a lot of flavor but it went well with the rest of the meal.. pita was slightly toasted .. I would recommend this place and will be back to try the spanakopita and hummus dishes. read more

Upon checking out the menu, you'll realize is a "Chicago" Greek joint so the menu has some interesting options and I found the food to be slightly different than the standard Greek fare. Pita and hummus were delicious - pita was soft and leavened (which I know is not traditional but I'm a sucker for leavened pita). The babaganoush was a bit underseasoned for my taste but it was also good. My falafel pita was quite tasty and the tzatziki is dill-heavy and YUMMY. Per the other reviews, we made sure to order the baklava... don't miss it. If you like Greek food but are a little tired of the same-old, check this place out. read more

Do you know how to pronounce Tzatziki? Thanks to Youtube, I know now.. Tza tzeekeee....z is pronounced tsi or tzi. It just took me 20 years before I decided to look up on how to pronounce. Ever since I learned how to pronounce Gyro as my college had a little Gryo shop a very long time ago, I became a fan of Gyro. I ran into this place several years ago and I keep coming back here whenever I am in the area and I recently learned why I like them here so much. It's their Tzatziki sauce. Oh the meat is good too but this sauce I didn't know how to pronounce for a while makes so much difference. I also like their falafels. They way they were served does not make it look authentic but it sure tastes good to me. I didn't grow up eating Greek, so I can't tell the difference between authentic and what not, but whatever they serve here, it sure does satisfy my appetite. My another favorite dish here is stake combo plate. Love that rice and flavor to the beef. Great place for a quick bite. read more

Since I lived in Crete fr 2 years I am very picky about my Greek Food. The gyros we got here and gyro salad was OK, fresh but nothing special in my opinion. They also forgot to give us our Greek salad that we ordered and paid for, ended up calling in and getting a refund. Give them a try, as people have different taste and expectations how they like their Gyros. read more

The one thing that brings me back is the way they develop the sauces that bring perfect balance and complement the sub. The subs are always toasted to perfection. Cheba Hut is far superior to the soggy subs you get at Subway and a huge step above every sub shop that fills their subs with watery salty sauces and flavorless fillings. We sat down at the bar to eat and were greeted by Brody. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and shared some good combinations as well as his recommendations. We sat down and sipped on Papago orange blossom beer and Huss Scottsdale blonde beers as we enjoyed our subs. Brody then told us about Mario Kart racing and we were confused at first but then realized that when you sit at the bar they have controllers and you can play Mario Kart while you eat. The place was not packed due to being on a weekday so we got to play games while enjoying the evening. Brody also gave us recommendations and told us about the area and the breweries in the area. He is a fantastic asset to Cheba Hut and a rising star. Thank you Cheba Hut cooks, and chefs for your amazing sandwiches, and thank you Brody for making our evening flow and relaxing.
