Nick is the olive tree with big beautiful olives, Christine, Hymie, Ryan and Jack. First time here and it will not be our be last. The food was great. The staff was wonderful and Nick has a great personality. No wonder they have 3 restaurants. We ordered the cioppino, salad, calamari, chocolate gelato and tiramisu. Everything was great, I think the salad was over done with the mozzarella cheese on top but extremely tasty. I would order everything again. TIP: extremely busy on Sunday evenings. Go during the week. I WOULD RECOMMEND

We did a take out order Saturday for a family Christmas before everyone was leaving for the holiday weekend. Got there a little early and were greeted immediately at the front desk/cashier. First look around, they were pretty busy. They were straight away with our order that we were told when we ordered would be an hour and 15. No biggie, we were in no hurry. My wife ordered the Lasagna, I ordered the Chicken Parmesan (I have not had Chicken Parm in way too long!). First off, the portions are large (check my pics). After reading a few other reviews, they do use a LOT of cheese! And for the sauces, they were kind of bland, but okay. The cheese bread that comes with your takeout order was great. Dip those babies in the mild sauce, TASTY! The Lasagna was almost overcooked, the pasta around the edges of the takeout pan was cooked to the aluminum. It could have used more sauce and a lot more meat. But it was okay. Ate off of all the leftovers a few times. Plenty to go around. So I have to say, I have had better Italian in some chain restaurants, and I would try Nick's again if my in-laws want to order from here. But for me there are other Italian restaurants I have not eaten at yet that I have to try as well.

This quaint Italian restaurant has a special place in my heart! Excellent service and relaxing environment. Food has consistently been fantastic (large portions) and great flavor. If you're looking to gain a family that will keep you coming back, stop into Nick's! You won't regret it

Great service! Great ambiance! And so far everything on the menu we have tried is superb. Don't forget to order the cheesecake for dessert. It won't disappoint, no matter how full you are!

One of my favorite local joints. Chicken Parm with vodka sauce is my go to. Very consistent, fresh and great bartenders.

Terrific service and memorably great food. Maybe the best wedge salad and chicken marsala I've ever had!

"Eat Like Italiano at Marcellino"…read more Marcellino Ristorante in Scottsdale is one of those places that's clearly popular for a reason. There was a long wait when we arrived but the staff made it pleasant by bringing out free bruschetta while we waited, which was a nice touch. The ambiance is very Italian--warm, charming, and inviting. They also have outdoor seating, which adds to the whole experience. There was live music that night, and it really set the mood without being overwhelming. I tried two of their non-alcoholic drinks: the rosemary mint lemonade and the hibiscus mango--both refreshing and thoughtfully made. My husband went with a lager beer, which paired well with the food. When we ordered, we were asked if we wanted to try their homemade pasta, and once we heard they have squid ink pasta, my husband didn't hesitate. We ordered it, and wow--it was amazing. The pasta was deeply flavorful, loaded with seafood, and served with lobster meat on the side, which took it to another level. We also ordered the Filetto di Malale--pork tenderloin sautéed with tender asparagus and green peppercorns, finished with a bourbon flambé. It was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. For dessert, we had the flaming panna cotta, which was both fun to watch and deliciously sweet. We were also happy to meet the owner-chef, Marcellino Verzino, which made the experience even more special. Overall, this place is absolutely worth visiting if you're looking for authentic Italian dishes here in Arizona. Definitely a spot we would return to.

We made a reservation ahead of time and had a table ready for us on the outdoor patio. We went on a Friday and could instantly tell this place is legit. The ambiance isn't modern it's more home-style but honestly, who cares when the food is this good? The service was excellent and incredibly fast. We were on a bit of a time crunch, and they helped us wrap everything up right on schedule. For drinks, I ordered a Cosmo and oh my one of the best cocktails I've had. The flavor was perfectly balanced and so smooth. For appetizers, we tried Emma's dumplings, beet salad, Brussels sprouts, and burrata. They started us off with house-made bread and homemade butter, I could eat that all day. So good! We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing vegetarian options. The Brussels sprouts, beet salad, and Emma's dumplings were definite winners each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. For mains, we ordered the penne vodka. I had high expectations, and while it was good, it was more on the average side compared to everything else. And finally the butter cake for dessert absolutely knocked it out of the park. You could literally taste the butter in every bite, Unreal. Pricing is very reasonable, and overall the service and food were beyond exceptional. We'll definitely be back!

I did go on a first date here and maybe not as romantic as I would have liked -- much more of a family vibe -- or in the bar area was all about sports. It wasn't too loud so that was good since we were doing a lot of talking, LOL. It was a Saturday night and my date had made a reservation but it looked like we could have easily gotten a table without one. There is a parking lot but couldn't tell if it was easy parking because we took an Uber since we were drinkiing. I started with an espresso martini and I would give it a 4/10 -- I think the espresso used was low quality because it wasn't my favorite. My date got a whiskey old fashioned and he liked it. Service was pretty good -- it was a busy Saturday night. I wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal but the server was gone for some time so my date had to flag her down. I ordered the halibut with crab on top and the server recommended a white wine to pair -- I thought it was an usual suggestion but went with it -- she didn't even suggest which white - so I went with a Sav Blanc and it was actually quite good -- I didn't catch the name. We started with some shrimp cocktail and that was pretty good, sauce was tasty. The halibut was actually quite good and cooked to perfection - the crab on top was really good too -- it came on a bed of linguini which was too much -- I didn't really eat that. My date had the filet special with a lobster sauce -- it looked really rich and the portion was huge! He couldn't even eat it all. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I was quite full when we left, LOL! I didn't catch how much the total cost was but I think it had to have been at least $200 -- so definitely some dough will be dropped! But for a special occasion it is worth it.

We ordered a nice bottle of wine and they brought us some garlic bread. The bread is delicious and a great start. For an appetizer we went with the Oysters Rockefeller which our party of 6 loved. Entrees come with a soup or Sal's house salad. I liked the salad, nice presentation. I had the Chicken Piccata which is my usual go to and it didn't disappoint. It came with a side of green beans, which happens to also be my favorite. My BF enjoyed his Veal Parmigiana. Everyone enjoyed their food. I liked the atmosphere, nice wood decor and being dimly lit adds a sophisticated but still casual vibe. They also have a cool bar area, nice bartenders. We definitely will be back when in town.
