We were punctual for our afternoon appointment and waited roughly 40 minutes before being called. It was brutal. They played Netflix reruns of Malcom in the middle. Help. Once we got to a room, we waited another 40 minutes before the doctor came in. I'm so serious. You probably think I'm exaggerating. I'm not. He waltzed in and spent all of 3 minutes in the room explaining what he saw on the X-ray. I was thinking; maybe he was forced to go purchase a new X-ray machine - because theirs broke - which would explain the unnecessary 80 minute wait time. But no, they are just extremely slow. The sad part is that we must return for a follow up. Next time, I'll probably just show up an hour late so we can be seen on time.

They don't provide an email to send documentation (that contradicts your patient portion responsibility) . You talk in circles constantly repeating name, address, phone, etc. Corporate could care less that you have reached you copay, deductible and out of pocket max (OOPM) for the year. They just keep sending bills to you, neglecting to contact BCBS (or other insurers) to straighten out any billing errors. Stay far away from any ATI Physical therapy locations. They will make any health issue you have much worse! Also make sure you are fluent in foreign languages, medical billing coding, have hours, days, weeks and months (my experiance) dealing with ATI customer DIS service, insurers, your HR Dept. And for me contacting the Illinois attorney general filing a consumer complaint against ATI. They are scum of the earth!

One PTA, whom treated me most often, did not focus treatment on anything other than massaging the tight muscles whereas the PT and other PTA's did other treatments as well. People did not know how to utilize one particular piece of equipment as three different people set it up three different ways and the person that did the set-up the best, was just trained to do it and also was a support staff person. Variation of treatment did not change much from day one to week 13. Way too much loud across the room personal conversations amongst employees, and therefore, did not feel they were focused on my treatment. Changed to another PT organization due to level of disappointment. Got a sharp pain in my neck after the first treatment session and never went away after 12 more sessions over a six-week period. Extremely disappointed as have had much better experience and results at a different ATI location 10 years ago, but as with all medical facilities, it appears ATI has been hit with the same corporate management attitude with focus on making money vs. servicing the patient.
