We live in Marshall so we felt it would be best for all of us to keep her close. We chose for her to go to Medilodge. After her being there for almost a month she is home. Thank Goodness! We couldn't be more pleased with the care she received at Medilodge! From the housekeeper's to the food worker's the Aids the Nurses the Doctor's the clerical staff PT,OT just a great bunch of very helpful workers! I work in the health field and I understand working short and being very busy it happens everywhere but even working short they were still very respectful to our mom. The place was clean and my mom actually liked the food. She joined in on the MANY activities they offer on a daily basis and I truly believe that played a big part in her rehab. They apparently don't take this seriously enough. So we'll just wait for an accident!

Valerie and Adidi have been very helpful occupational therapists helping get use of my hand and…read morethumb after having surgery on my thumb last December. Valerie has been very helpful--I accidentally messed up my hand spint/brace that they made me when I slipped on ice. Valerie was able to see me later that afternoon and repair it for me, and I had been then earlier in the day for therapy! I love tye paraffin wax hand dip and the hand massage! That seems to really help loosen my hand up. Four weeks of occupational therapy, and I see massive improvement in my use and strength since surgery mid December. Another great feature for me is its not far from our home! The receptionist, Deneesha, is a sweetheart. She always greets you with a smile. I'm working on her though--trying to help her not be afraid of black cats! Haha! No seriously, she is definitely a crowd's jewel to the therapusts! Deneesha is very personable as well as helpful!

I was always greeted with happy…read morefaces and I really listened to what they told me I did my workouts there for 3 weeks and also worked hard at home so I didn't need the walker after 1 week and never used a cane. I did use the ice machine and the leg machine which I loved it. Made me push myself up to 100% for speed and 120 for the bend. The girls I had worked hard with me and they just couldn't believe that I did so well with it. It pays to work hard I have no limp and I'm very happy with the turn out. Whenever a child is struggling in school there are many aspects to take into account. Adhd, Sensory processing disorder, Autism, visual processing issues, Dyslexia, learning disabilities and that is just naming the common issues. They say it takes a village to raise a child and I concur. So often parents will take an initial diagnosis as fact but in reality these conditions run so parallel it is often difficult to say with certainty. Being a parent is hard but when your child struggles the ante is raised. No one knows their child like a parent does but often a school or Dr. will label a child because they don't learn the same as the average child, often psychostimulants are prescribed unnecessarily. Building bridges is an amazing place with caring therapist that will help to tease out conditions and give alternative therapies to children as well as suggest stimilants if necessary. I've seen some amazing progress from this facility and can give eyewitness testimony to the staffs dedication and hard work. I have the highest respect for this facility and highly recommend.

She has been super with him since day 1 and every time it's time to bring him his eyes light up and he screams in delight about going to his "special place." Today I left my phone in the office and even though she was halfway home she turned around to open the building so I could get my phone back. Knowing she lives over 30 minutes away and she was halfway home before she saw the message, I was incredibly humbled by her empathy. With my mother not being in great health, the thought of not having my phone over night had me in a panic! The rest of the staff I've met have been wonderful as well!
