What I am disappointed with is a change in business practice and most major insurance companies (I have Aetna) and Medicare are no longer billed. Patients are expected to pay up front (my recent bill was $250) and submit to insurance for reimbursement. My care plan had graduated to every other week. I can't afford that and they are not willing to work out payment arrangements. (So much for loyalty). Insurance can take months to reimburse an individual. I can appreciate the impact to a business when insurance is slow to pay them but there has to be a middle ground for the patient. I was politely invited to seek care elsewhere if I couldn't pay. Wow! Just be aware the bills are steep and up front payment expected. The therapists are great but billing practice not so good. Also if you expect to speak with a live person it's rare. You usually play phone tag or send a text and hope to hear back. I really wanted to continue here but I'm afraid I probably can't afford it....

Tried to set up PT for hip pain. Had to wait 6 weeks to get in. Before I went I called to question…read morethe costs. Was told it was a small co-pay. I questioned that it was more than that and they asserted that it was not. I went to my first appointment, which was just evaluation with no actual recommendations made. 2 weeks later I get a bill for the full amount as it was not covered by insurance (after I asked twice for an estimation of costs). So, now instead of a $33 payment I'm stuck with $200 cost for absolutely no recommendation of ways to alleviate pain. Do not trust what the front desk tells you regarding cost! If I had known that this would only apply towards deductible and I decided to still move forward. I would have at least set up my first appointment in January and not do one appointment in December and basically flush that $$ away. Very frustrating!

I thought I did all the research I needed before coming in here but it does not even matter because the front desk people will straight up lie to you about how much the appointment will cost you out of pocket. I was told I only needed to pay $60 out of pocket up until I meet my deductible which would be roughly about 10 more visits and then my payments would be around $20-$30. I specifically asked and told them I did not want to get surprised with a fat bill. Well guess what just happened 4 months later... I received a $220 bill for my ONE ~30 min appointment of nothing but doing some very basic stretches. The biggest cost came from a pdf file sent to me with more stretches. Mind you, all google-able / youtube-able information. I was billed for sessions longer than my entire appointment time. 75 minutes worth although I was not even there that long? I asked for a breakdown of the costs and did not receive that from them but I did receive it from my insurance company. Like someone else said, the billing practices are absolutely criminal and I'm worried the elderly are getting taken advantage of. Don't trust the front desk people, call your insurance before booking an appointment.

When I first arrived at Highline, I could barely walk through the door. The therapists I met were Cheryl and Daya. The majority of my appointments were with Cheryl, and she was absolutely amazing! In less than 3 months with two appointments a week, I was back at full force. I'm 81 years old and can now easily walk miles, work in the yard and lift weights. I was sent home with 4 sheets of exercises that were designed by Daya. And last but never least, if I miss a day of the exercises, my body hurts!

I gained more knowledge about my ankle / heel from them than I did my own doctors. The appointments, while tough, certainly did benefit me. They are also extremely helpful in also providing you exercises for home and even some that I could do while I work.
