Wait times have never been rough for me, both in the lobby to be taken back and then when needing to get x-rays. I have been seeing Dr. Kevin D. They saw my brother for a broken femur, which is obviously not a small thing, and from the moment we were there, the care felt different. The provider who saw him took her time, didn't rush through anything, and actually answered all of our questions in a way that made sense. You could tell she cared, not just about the injury, but about him as a person going through it. Same goes for her medical assistant. Super kind, attentive, and just easy to talk to. It didn't feel cold or clinical the way some places do. It felt like they actually wanted to make sure we understood everything and felt supported. Honestly, after seeing how they handled his care, I've been seriously considering switching my own care over to them. That says a lot coming from someone who's pretty particular about where I go. If you're dealing with anything orthopedic-related and want a team that actually listens and treats you like a human, I would absolutely recommend them.

I was interviewing multiple doctors and he was just one of a few. He answered all my questions and they were extensive. He took the time to explain the procedure and what approach he was going to take. What recovery would look like and all the complications from a major surgery. His compassion was evident and he did not pressure me to chose him. I visited the other doctors and Dr. Richard Grey stood heads and shoulders above them all. I just had the first of two procedures, the procedure went as planned and a good prognosis is indicated. So when it comes time for the second surgery I have no doubt Dr. Gray will be as successful. Again if you need an orthopedic surgeon check Dr. Richard Gray out.

Im aware Dr. Gray is an excellent surgeon but the people managing his Gig Harbor office at the front desk are really awful.

I was a patient of Dr. Arroyo's at Puget Sound Orthopedics in Lakewood Washington. I couldn't have…read moreasked or anything better in the doctor. He is extremely intelligent, you can tell that when he took on this education that he did it to help people from the depth of his heart. I have had surgeries from other doctors who were not able to get my shoulders secure. The surgeries done by other Dr's would still fall out of joint very easily. Dr. Arroyo was very thorough with explaining the different kind of surgeries that he was going to do on each shoulder. One was done 4 years ago and hasn't fallen out of socket I feel very secure with it. The other one he completed one year ago and I only had 75% of that bone left but he was able to take a tendon from another part of my shoulder and secure that portion of the bone that was missing from that tendon. I never thought that I could use my arms again without considering the possibilities of them falling out of socket. I am sincerely grateful for a doctor that is so caring of his patients. With this particular surgery he did only two doctors in Washington state are able to perform them. When I was in between surgeries my insurance had changed and the doctor's office didn't accept the insurance that I had. I sent Dr. Arroyo a message directly to see if there was anything that he could do because he was the on of the only doctor's that could perform this surgery. He told me since I was a previous patient that he would be able to work with the insurance company and the doctor's office to get the office to be able to accept my insurance. It was hard for me to say goodbye to him, he truly changed my life.

I pulled on the God ropes as my retired RN Mom would say, by pushing back on his assessment and demanding an updated thoracic MRI. Go figure: Intraosseus tumors now added to scoliosis, ventral canal indentations and several bulging discs. But hey, what good could a holistic view of the spine be in diagnosing/identifying treatment plan that is not a handful of pills thrown at me? Avoid this place!

I called a handful of times during this period to check on my referral and attempting to make an appointment. I kept getting the run around and was told that they would call me back multiple time, not once I got any call back. The end result was that they said, "We are not contracted thru Cigna (my insurance)." I called my family physician and they told me that the referral to Cascade Pain Center was approved. Horrible service, would not recommend this clinic.
