What I am disappointed with is a change in business practice and most major insurance companies (I have Aetna) and Medicare are no longer billed. Patients are expected to pay up front (my recent bill was $250) and submit to insurance for reimbursement. My care plan had graduated to every other week. I can't afford that and they are not willing to work out payment arrangements. (So much for loyalty). Insurance can take months to reimburse an individual. I can appreciate the impact to a business when insurance is slow to pay them but there has to be a middle ground for the patient. I was politely invited to seek care elsewhere if I couldn't pay. Wow! Just be aware the bills are steep and up front payment expected. The therapists are great but billing practice not so good. Also if you expect to speak with a live person it's rare. You usually play phone tag or send a text and hope to hear back. I really wanted to continue here but I'm afraid I probably can't afford it....

Tried to set up PT for hip pain. Had to wait 6 weeks to get in. Before I went I called to question…read morethe costs. Was told it was a small co-pay. I questioned that it was more than that and they asserted that it was not. I went to my first appointment, which was just evaluation with no actual recommendations made. 2 weeks later I get a bill for the full amount as it was not covered by insurance (after I asked twice for an estimation of costs). So, now instead of a $33 payment I'm stuck with $200 cost for absolutely no recommendation of ways to alleviate pain. Do not trust what the front desk tells you regarding cost! If I had known that this would only apply towards deductible and I decided to still move forward. I would have at least set up my first appointment in January and not do one appointment in December and basically flush that $$ away. Very frustrating!

Top notch! Dr…read more Dawson has been a blessing. His staff are so easy to talk to, and very nice. Dr. Dawson has taken the time to sit with me, and educate me on my injury. We discussed options, and have come up with a path to feeling better. He did what my last doctor wouldn't do, and that is to find the source of the problem. He has weighed my options to getting better, and he really shows that he cares. Let's just say, my previous doctor refused to do xrays, and an MRI was out of the question. I was told it was a sprain or strain, and I would be back and running in no time. The doctor referred me to physical therapy, which was beyond painful. After a month, I didn't improve at all. I decided to get a second opinion, and went to Dr. Dawson. Dr. Dawson suggested an Xray. After he reviewed the xray, he saw concerns to get an MRI done. While I was there I noticed his call button go unanswered so I brought it to their attention. While I was there - they were fine - as soon as I left they started ignoring again. Things are just in such disrepair that he needs to call for assistance. The remote on his bed doesn't work. The toilet seat slides off the bowl... then there are the two screaming men across the hall. It's terrifying for anyone to listen to that. I just want them to fix their things, and answer The call buttons. I know patients abuse it, but in this case he got hurt because of the neglect.

They constantly ignore the call button and blatantly ignore the residents. They're on their phones constantly and have such an attitude! It was so heartbreaking when I overheard one of the nurses tell a plus sized patient that she is disgusting because of her size. On top of that she refused to help her get dressed because she could "do it herself". She had then apologized but only because I had informed one of the managers. It's sad to see almost all the residents being treated like they're animals. Tell me, would you feel comfortable seeing so many residents being yelled at and talked about as if they're not in the room? As if they aren't a human being? They place has now changed ceos or top managers I'm not sure, and I can tell they want the place to change for the better but like I have stated before, the nurses there do not care about the residents. I tried my best to help residents in any way I could even though it wasn't my job. Most of the residents would not receive their correct food which was such a big issue because of food allergies and difficulties with solid food. There has been many times where patients wouldn't get their food at all! And the nurses would refuse to get them what they asked or get their correct food. There needs to be more activities for residents who cannot attend in person groups! It's sad when I would walk by rooms and patients would be staring out the window because they were tired of watching tv all day. I can tell the activity department only liked the residents who were able to attend the group in person. There is so many residents who would complain to me about not being included! Lastly, I advise if you do send your loved ones here to keep in contact with them to find out what goes on. There has been so many times where staff just like to do whatever they want when visitors aren't around.
