He's been here in his country long enough but yet somedays it feels he just got off the boat, so brother to the rescue.... With him, sometimes it's just changing a word and he'll get it, or sometimes it's just telling the therapist what he means and they'll explain it in a different way for him to understand a little better ... But the problem today was one that RACIST, try to talk down to me, no one in his country should ever get talked or treated that way ... So im not going to mention names, maybe they were having a bad day, I don't care but hopefully this review gets back to them and they learn a lesson from it, people are people, no matter what color their skin is ! But my brother went to the bathroom and I felt I was out of the way, wasnt bugging anyone and the therapist was next to me and asked if I was translating for my brother and I told this person why I was here and this person told me I could sit in the lobby ! But it was the way this person told me, like I just came off the boat, if I was lower class person, im sorry but NO ONE TALKS TO ME THIS WAY !!!! They are clock watchers here too. If they have good care they would push you in and out the door. I get they are busy. It seems like 1 hr visit are tightly monitored. I have gone 3 times and I have felt hugeeeee progress with the exercises, warm ups, proper ways of strengthening, conditioning, an injured part. They don't bore you so having conversations at the same time healing has been an awesome experience for me. Close to home, great care, hospitality is more than asked for which is awesome, 10/10 to recommend.

The office environment is clean, organized and personable. Positive attitudes from all and when I rang the bell today, everyone in the office cheered which was so sweet. Those are qualities I've never really experienced at PT prior. I am currently with the lead DPT, Lindsay Plikuhn and her assistant Sonja. I also have worked with a resident they currently have there, Kim. She has also been very attentive and hands on which has not previously been my experience with both a resident and a PT in general... I have chronic back pain and have been suffering for a long time. I will have a follow up review some day. I know I'll be in PT for a long time but I'm thankful I have a team that cares, is straight-forward, and is giving me useful information and tools for rehabilitation. And I also don't feel rushed with exercises and stretches. P.S. I have Medicaid and this Covington Satelitte location is in network.

I verified with my insurance before contacting Highline physical therapy to ensure that I was covered. The scheduler tried to convince me that occupational therapy was what I needed despite the referral from my doctor saying I needed physical therapy. I told him that I was looking for physical therapy and not occupational. He then asked for the doctors referral told me to email it to them. I asked if a screenshot from my MyChart app was sufficient which he affirmed and replied that they would review it and get back to me. I wasn't given a timeframe so I assumed that it would be 5 to 10 minutes for a return phone call. Over two hours later and no phone call so I find another referral from my insurance call them and schedule. I have an appointment the next day so I call Highline back to see if there's any update and a different scheduler tells me that they were not able to download my doctors referral from the email, even though I asked the previous scheduler if a screenshot would suffice. Obviously something that would've been readily apparent immediately yet I didn't receive a phone call whatsoever. Anyway these guys seem pretty disorganized and unprofessional so I'm glad it worked out the way it did. ATI physical therapy had me scheduled the next day for my appointment in a phone call that took half the time.

I was wheel-chair bound for 5 years and then had 2 knee replacement surgeries over the past year and the kind people at Olympic Sports & Spine in Covington, WA were absolutely crucial to my recovery. The amazing staff were able to coordinate my therapy appointments with my mother's appointments (yep, she had PT, too) and resolve issues with my difficult insurance company. And it's so nice to go to a place where people say hello with a smile and know your name. I had the privilege to work with several physical therapists and even the manager. When I went to PT after my first knee replacement, my non-surgical knee wouldn't bend. So the therapists would sit on the floor while I was on the bike and would pedal one side of the bike with their hands so that I could pedal the other side with my surgical leg. They adapted exercises and came up with creative treatments for my surgical leg because my non-surgical leg couldn't bend at all. When I went back to them after my second knee replacement, they helped me achieve range of motion on both of my knees that exceeded my surgeon's expectations. I will be forever grateful to this wonderful group of people who not only helped me walk again but also gave me hope and kept me encouraged the entire way.

What I am disappointed with is a change in business practice and most major insurance companies (I have Aetna) and Medicare are no longer billed. Patients are expected to pay up front (my recent bill was $250) and submit to insurance for reimbursement. My care plan had graduated to every other week. I can't afford that and they are not willing to work out payment arrangements. (So much for loyalty). Insurance can take months to reimburse an individual. I can appreciate the impact to a business when insurance is slow to pay them but there has to be a middle ground for the patient. I was politely invited to seek care elsewhere if I couldn't pay. Wow! Just be aware the bills are steep and up front payment expected. The therapists are great but billing practice not so good. Also if you expect to speak with a live person it's rare. You usually play phone tag or send a text and hope to hear back. I really wanted to continue here but I'm afraid I probably can't afford it....

Tried to set up PT for hip pain. Had to wait 6 weeks to get in. Before I went I called to question…read morethe costs. Was told it was a small co-pay. I questioned that it was more than that and they asserted that it was not. I went to my first appointment, which was just evaluation with no actual recommendations made. 2 weeks later I get a bill for the full amount as it was not covered by insurance (after I asked twice for an estimation of costs). So, now instead of a $33 payment I'm stuck with $200 cost for absolutely no recommendation of ways to alleviate pain. Do not trust what the front desk tells you regarding cost! If I had known that this would only apply towards deductible and I decided to still move forward. I would have at least set up my first appointment in January and not do one appointment in December and basically flush that $$ away. Very frustrating!
