This place is an absolute scam. I'm incredibly disappointed by the service. I was put with a new therapist that showed me a few stretches and spent most of his time teaching a trainee how to use the computer. My biggest concern and main area of pain was not addressed at all. When I was checked in, the total cost I was given by the front desk was incorrect. I was charged nearly 3 times the initial amount a week later. I've been attempting to contact the Billing Department, the main office, anyone with access to their email to discuss this further, only to be placed on hold for 20+ minutes and then told a supervisor would call me back because they were "too busy". That was a lie to brush me off, as I was never called or responded to in any way. Expect a factory where they will push through as many clients as possible and then charge undisclosed amounts with unqualified and abysmal service from the random therapists they pull in for a summer job. read more

The therapists here seem to be understaffed, everyone is juggling multiple patients and I haven't had a single consistent therapist (I've had four visits.) I have a background in physical health in general and nothing I learned here was new. I was put on the same exercise program (with no feedback as everyone is on their laptops just waiting for you to finish) and was told some concerning things like "core, pelvic floor, kegals, all the same of the thing." Riiiight. I think if you're truly inexperienced with exercise or need simple exercises this would work, but professor google could tell me the same thing and not bill extensively for it. read more

From the moment I talked with someone at the ATI Physical Therapy in Federal Way I felt comfortable with the staff. I was assigned a physical therapist and she taught me several exercises and gave me a print out of what I could do at home. She scheduled appointments for the next six weeks and slowly increased the difficulty of the exercises and continued to challenge me to work hard. It paid off and my knee pain is gone and the muscles surrounding my knees, hips, and legs have all been strengthened. I am very thankful for the care they gave me! read more

The people in this facility are awesome! They helped me twice. However, their national billing and accounting department, in my opinion, is a blatant ripoff. They keep sending bills demanding payments you already made. Both times I went in I was over billed. Never again. read more

After my first appointment last week, it seemed very promising. Nick in Federal Way scheduled the following appointments for me for the next two months. He knew that I was there to get ultrasound and myofascial release. I went to my second appointment today, and Nick is out of town for this week Christine I believe is who I saw who's the clinic manager said that Nick had put in his notes to hold off on treatment until you received the images My clinic sent you the images on a cd. That's how they send it. Your clinic has no computer with a CD. Because you did not have any images or other information for my last MRI, which was actually over a year ago they did not do the two treatments that I had come in for I am in chronic pain. I am acute pain. I can't do is mention the exercises, but I still do them in the mornings. I had explained to Nick that I can't ride a bike in the first thing they wanted me to do is ride a bike. I'm glad I didn't waste my time and trying to do the exercises only to find out that they were going to refuse the two treatments, the only two treatment that I was being sent to ATI physical therapy for. Luke basically lied to me because after he packed my appointments I said so this is primarily for myofascial release and ultrasound and he said yes and then he lied again because she said well I'll see you on Monday and if I'm not there then somebody else will take my place and he absolutely had to of known. He was going to be gone all this week on vacation so he confirmed he was going to be here most likely. Now, Nick is gone this entire week and can't change his notes and if I can't get in on Thursday, which is when my appointment is and if I am refused treatment again on Thursday and you will not do the myofascial release in the ultrasound I will never come back to your business again I went home in tears and crying because I am in so much pain and the only thing with my knee is this bad that gives me relief are the two treatment that I was refused today Nick is a liar he could've said to me you know, I'm not comfortable doing treatments until I receive the images and by the way, we don't have a CD player so you're gonna have to bring paper images or ask them to send paper Because of nicks lack of communication and actually dishonesty, I believe because he knew I was there I wasted two hours of my time because I take medical transportation so a ride came for me at 4:15 today and was and did not come back to pick me up until 6 o'clock I am able to forgive and move on if they are willing to do what they were supposed to do on Monday on my appointment on Thursday, so we will see I am extremely angry and frustrated with ATI physical therapy. I hope they come through and do the treatment for me on Thursday that I was prescribed. read more

Wasted of effort. Can't do my moms occupational therapy for legs because the dr didn't put physical therapy. Instead of helping us. They just want to reschedule. 8 workers sitting around a table no customers in the place. 2 pm on a Tuesday. Not one would make the effort to help. Just come back in two hours or a couple days your choice. It's not exactly close. Had the appointment for 10 days they called the morning of at 9am and mom missed the call. It's 85 degrees and my mom is elderly. Got attitude about not answering the phone. Bad uneducated staff with no people skills. Can't wait to go back read more

I visited the ATI clinic from 1.16.23. to 2.22.23. I came in with pain in my back. I had difficulties with turning, leaning over, it was hard to get up and sit down. I did not believe in a miracle, but it came, with hard, painstaking work and the professionalism of the ATI clinic staff. They are always polite, attentive, friendly and caring. A well-planned exercise program, gradually increasing load on problem areas of the muscles gave an excellent result. I am very pleased with the work and attention that Kyle, Kristen, Jordan gave me. My primary care doctor is just next door so I decided to just walk in here to start session for chronic neck pain. It is not L&I or not vehicle related accident so I only needed to bring in a medical referral and insurance card; referrals are only good for a month. So here I am in a PT office begging to be scheduled right away. My right neck and shoulder hurts and I'm having difficulty moving. I also have tennis elbow due to improper handling of a racquet. My first impression was it was so busy and everything is open. I was overwhelmed because there are so many patients doing all kinds of exercises. It seems it's busier in the morning but it dies down closer to noon. Eventually, I was able to determine who are the therapists and the patients(ATI uniforms, duh). Yes, it seemed like a total chaos. Once you're getting your exercises, you won't mind the crowd but being a little self conscious is still a factor if you're a first timer; therapists will have to touch you(massage, etc) and some of the exercises are awkward. Be patient and keep an open mind. Let them know during the first assessment if you prefer a female or male therapist. You'll be asked what you are looking for in a therapist- but I suggest stick with personality type you click with. The front desk is very helpful and they'll provide details of how much it is for all the sessions. The one thing that bothered me was the provider charge- but you'll be assessed (evaluation) beforehand- thus this charge is explained. I highly suggest calling your insurance to find out what you have to pay out of pocket so there are no surprises. You'll have the option of getting text reminders about your upcoming appointment. It won't tell you who you'll be working with though, so keep the schedule provided at your evaluation. It will also advise you to wear loose outfits. You'll see therapists twice a week and you may be charged a co-pay. The only drawback is you'll be assigned multiple therapists and you may get confused. That was the case today wherein I was expecting to see my old therapist. Check your appointment scheduled to know who you'll be working with. The great thing about the change is I got the feel of how the other therapists work- but there's a catch- I have to get used to having another person massaging my neck. It is A little weird but it's understandable. Either way, the experience is positive- and I've learned great exercises to help me cope with this pesky chronic neck pain. Do I feel better? The answer is Yes. The exercises work but at the tail end of it, I'm not quite sure aid I'm getting the bang for my buck with ATI. there are so many exercises that I wish they'll provide a complete guide to make sure that I'm doing them correctly on my own. There's an ATI phone app but some of the exercises aren't accurate and your therapists have to add them to your profile. On the other hand, the exercises are so repetitive that you'll remember them in no time. Do I recommend ATI for PT needs? It's a mixed bag but read below. I'm leaving this location 3 stars for a few reasons: - there have been sessions wherein (2 out of the 3) my therapist are working with multiple patients. I'm hoping this is not the case in this office- but after meeting my final therapist, 2 or 3 patient per PT is something common here. My husband and my daughter all had one on one sessions with their PT. I rather go to a PT where I'm not competing for their attention. - My other Issue is one of my first therapists (Cody)left ATI after our 3rd session. I am going to say that he was really good or perhaps the best out of the 3 therapists I was with. He explained the exercise and forms in a detailed way, explained how to improve my gait, and it seems like he just knew which muscle or ligament to pull. In short, he was really good at what he does in terms of educating me about my neck. There's a saying that your physical therapist can judge you by your gait and this guy knows I use my phone a lot. Cody was the only therapist who was not multi tasking- he was focused with tweaking my neck and advised me on what I could do to improve at home and in my daily life. Cody would have embodied the customer service ATI seems to strive for. Why ATI chose to not renew this gentleman's contract is beyond me; he was really good and very professional. Cody- if you're reading this I thank you for the educative sessions and the focus you've given towards my improvement. I want to give this ATI in Federal Way a zero but the machine won't let me. She went today and was extremely disoriented when she come back. Each time she with a male she doesn't do well because we are both victims of domestic violence. She only did ok once with a female assistant. I called after and asked for her to be placed with a female PT/assistant all the time because we are both victims of domestic violence and she does best with women. Unfortunately there was a male on the phone and he didn't want to help. He said he would reschedule one appt. upcoming. Then some other male call and my mother and I were yelled at for 20 minutes by my abusive father. My mom won't say anything if called in this house because she's too afraid! If i could give 0 stars i would. this place is completely Unprofessional for starters all the instructors do here is sit on there phones and gather with the other instructors and gossip about there clients and brag about what time they get to leave to go home, the entire time i was here the people that work here do absolutely nothing but talk crap about there clients after they leave, they sit on there phones and pay absolutely no attention to there clients nor can they seem to do there jobs right they have the easiest job and they all seem clueless and lost majority of the time and there completely unorganized. The lady that worked with my boyfriends wrist as well was absolutely disrespectful and does nothing but sit behind her table and plays on her phone texting people long paragraphs And pays absolutely no attention to him she hands him some pudy to play with while she plays on her phone and gives smart remarks and is unprofessional with her job she's had him do exercises that don't help his wrist and do nothing but hurt his wrist and he's told her multiple times the exercises she has him do hurt him and she didn't care and continued to have him do the exercise for longer and continued to play on her phone. The " instructors " and the people that work here are all to busy sending each other friend requests on Facebook and pay no attention to there jobs or clients nor do they care for there clients, i highly don't recommend this place nor will i let anybody i know go to this place. read more

I was in a car accident about 3 yrs ago. I told the staff there I was into bodybuilding. The lady working was about 300 or 400 lbs with really short cut hair. I had a minor whiplash. She jumped on my chest and shoulder and pressed down on my chest on one side. She even had another guy there jump on her back to add more weight. She caused me permanent damage on my chest and shoulder and it still hurts . I never should of let her do that. I want to say zero stars it's not a option. Never go here. Your safer going anywhere else. She caused me permanent damage because she was mad I was into bodybuilding and I was nieve not just letting her do that to me she caused permanent damage. Very unprofessional without even having to step foot into this place. They said they have been busy (understood) scheduled us out 5 weeks- the day of the appointment, was almost there and got a call saying the therapist had called out. That's fine things happen. Scheduled us for 2pm the following day, called us at 12pm asking us where we were? Confused. Then scheduled us out for another day and hours before, called us saying they don't cover our insurance. I feel like they could've looked into that beforehand and let us know 5 weeks in advanced so we could've went elsewhere and saved our time. read more
