If you need surgery you're a priority but after that, get in line. While some aspects of the practice are as good as they were 5-7 years, others have significantly eroded . Scheduling and communication are two of the biggest negative changes - not sure why, actually, just based on recent experience with a surgeon's medical assistant and surgery scheduler. Our experience included not receiving return phone calls when promised, not honoring commitments to appointments as discussed, and these are things that we as patients can evaluate - as opposed to how great the surgery was.

I just popped in on the spur of the moment, and Emily at the front desk went back to see if she could get my x-rays. It was late in the day so the staff was already gone , but without being asked, Emily had them copied the next morning and called me saying I could pick them up anytime. I just wanted to say that she went above and beyond to provide me with help when I just popped in. I love the staff here, as well as the doctors. My treatment plan was personalized specifically to my needs and goals, not just cookie cutter post-op exercises. At each step there was a mixture of exercises I could do fairly easily in order to warm up and build confidence and those that challenged me. When I expressed a need to be able to climb tall stairs and a ladder, exercises were adapted in order for me to accomplish this. Highly recommend.

If I thought that Arlington Orthopedics was bad about blowing up up your phone, Baylor is a thousand times worse especially when it comes to getting their money before your procedure! I received multiple calls and text from multiple people there daily wanting their money. We were waiting for our insurance to process claims from another procedure somewhere else where our deductible could be seen by Baylor. Still the day before my procedure they sent another text saying they have to have my payment tomorrow in all caps! What business does this? Even on the day of we had to sit in the business office and hash all this over again and again which made things very stressful before having a procedure. Lastly out of 2 visits there, I have only encountered one nice person. No one there cares about anything except getting your money. My advice is to think long and hard about Arlington Orthopedics if you think you may need an actual procedure and then you better have your money ready and your ducks in a row. Baylor Scott & White is very aggressive in getting their money. That's all that matters to them.

We were contacted two months ago and told that my mother had overpaid by $300 and that a check would be mailed to her in 30-40 days. They verified her address. Now it has been over 60 days. I called the office today and was told that it was still being processed, "you know, they have to verify the mailing address, print the checks, and sign the checks, but they are really behind." I cannot imagine that it takes that long to process a check once you already have verification of the mailing address. The office clerk also said that there were many patients in this process. Really? How is that you overcharged so many people? If I owed a payment to AOA, I'm sure I would be penalized if I was more than 60 days late with the payment, but I doubt we will get any interest for AOA holding my mother's money for months. And, State law and Texas Medical Association requires that repayments of overcharges be return within 30 days to the patient. This is very poor office management for AOA.

Their team helps me so much throughout my recovery. All of the staff are amazing, kind, and welcoming. I work with mostly with Laney and TJ, and they are both awesome. They are knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and truly pay attention to how I am progressing. I never feel rushed or dismissed, and they always take the time to explain what we are working on and why. Steve does my progress evaluations, and I really appreciate how he takes the time to listen and look at me as a whole person, not just an injury. They have helped and continue to help me rebuild strength, improve my mobility, and feel more confident with becoming more of myself again. Recovery after surgery can be frustrating, but Arlington Physical Therapy has made the process feel supported and manageable. My rheumatologist had me go to Arlington Physical Therapy because they provide certain diagnostic…read moretools that he felt important because of pain in my hand. Everyone there seems quite nice, and after an initial visit for evaluation, they performed an EMG. The test showed very limited compromise of nerves in my neck. I continued with therapy and on my third visit, saw a different therapist. On the fourth visit, it was back to the original therapist. After that for two visits, another different therapist, and then I saw a CMA. I have been to physical therapy many times and in many places. I've always had an actual DPT, never a CMA. During my last visit I had yet another CMA. And after all of the treatments, there was absolutely no difference in my pain. So here's the thing. Two points. First, I told them when I first started going there that I'm much more comfortable seeing the same person every visit. Either they forgot, or it was ignored. Second. Why is this my preference? Because each new person I saw spent half their time trying to figure out what the last person did, even though they had computer records. And there was no continuing investigation into what was causing my problem. I would be asked how I was feeling, and then they would try to duplicate the treatments and exercise exercises that were done the last time. I have a physical therapy facility two blocks from my house. They've successfully treated me for spinal issues, shoulder issues, knee issues and even for vertigo. Rather than driving 30 minutes to Arlington Physical Therapy, I'm gonna have my rheumatologist send a referral elsewhere. By the way, as I said, they're nice people. If you're comfortable not knowing who you're going to see every time you have an appointment, you may be more comfortable there than I was.
