Bacon egg and cheese bagel
Tuesday F.

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel, a south west bowl and a smoothie for 25$. Smoothie was pretty much liquid and bowl was cold. We ordered it via door dash (we live 5 mins away though, and my bagel was warm so this isn't an excuse for the bowl being cold.) the bagel itself was very doughy and chewy. Bagel- 4.7/10 stars. 8$ Smoothie- 6/10- 6$ Bowl-3/10- 10$ (after the bowl was microwaved, the rating changed to 4/10) Won't be back. Pretty sad

sandwich with French onion soup

My mother and I stopped by this place for a unplanned lunch when I was visiting The wait at lunch time could be an issue on some days. Fairly large sitting area in the inside. The food was good. They have a lot of items to choose from on the board. The pastry counter is right in front of you....ugh but does allow you to make good lunch choices if you want dessert. It is a good location lunch if visiting the hospital guests. There were several small business meetings taking place while we were there.

The Times is easily my favorite bar in Asheville -- truly a five-star, can't-miss spot. On my first…read moretrip back in July, I found myself coming here every night for a drink, and on this work trip I did the exact same thing. That alone should tell you everything you need to know. Their espresso martini is probably the best I've ever had -- perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Every bartender here is incredibly knowledgeable. They can make anything you ask for and then walk you through the history and origins of the cocktail like you're getting a mini masterclass with your drink. The bar itself is beautiful, with an impressive selection of spirits and a menu full of creative cocktails featuring ingredient combinations you'd never expect to work together -- but somehow they absolutely do. It's also one of the best places in the city to sit back and people-watch while enjoying a perfectly made drink. Do not skip The Times -- honestly, it's worth going out of your way to stop there.

Service was good, it wasn't very busy so pretty easy to walk up and order. I would have loved to try an espresso martini from here but I didnt want to risk not being able to fall asleep (Im getting old). They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor is pretty casual with small tables. Indoor decor is fun, halloween-y, and dark. They have a huge selection of liquor, so everyone will be able to find something they like. Sounds like they change their menu frequently so there is always something new to try.

Super cute that they serve out of a double decker bus. There are about 4 tables you can sit at outside of the bus. No seating inside. Menu has some pretty interesting concoctions, so I was intrigued. They also have a seasonal menu that changes. Prices are super reasonable, which shocked us, but it's cash only! Ugh who carries cash nowadays?? Only downside to this place, which is why I knocked a star off. Atm inside the Aloft charged $4.25 for the atm just FYI. I got a hot creme brulee latte and my husband got a blackberry latte. After you order at the window, they call your name on a speaker and you pick it up inside the bus. My drink was really tasty and smooth. My husband enjoyed his as well and said the blackberry was really strong and pronounced in a good way. I would definitely frequent this place again if I had cash on me. If I didn't, there's so many other coffee places in Asheville that I would probably try somewhere else next time.

Staff so very sweet and helpful. They had a wall of team member's fur babies around a sign about an April 7th fundraiser for Asheville Humane Society. Pooped in for my daily matcha latte and decaf latte. Enjoyed the matcha. I prefer nothing but matcha and milk in mine. If you want any syrups put in you'll have to ask. Decaf latte texturally was great the bean flavor wasn't my vibe. On the day, we were leaving town we wanted to get a box of goodies for our sweet family members who had taken care of one of our pups so that we could get away for the weekend. The team was so marvelous in helping us put together this bountiful box of goodies. Which our family members immediately opened and enjoyed nibbles of all of the different flavors and items. We originally found them when one of our family members was having health challenges and could not have dairy or gluten. They have such a wonderfully inclusive assortment of treats for everyone in the family. Including vegan. Enjoyed people watching sitting on the patio and the dog scene is awesome. Really lovely chill atmosphere with delightful team. They do have restrooms for customers. You're able to tap and pay in addition to cash and traditional credit card purchase. Always a delight to visit.

The soft lighting and calm atmosphere create a cozy ambiance that exudes thoughtfully curated design, while the gentle hum of conversation and espresso machines add a touch of life to the space. It's the kind of coffee shop where rainy afternoons feel like a cinematic scene from your favorite film. Recently, I met a date here, as Rowan seemed like the perfect setting for such a memorable beginning. After we greeted one another with an intimate kiss just outside the doors of Rowan Coffee, I observed a Duchenne smile flash across her beautiful face before we embarked on what became an emotionally recursive, psychologically layered Asheville odyssey, as we explored the Grove Arcade, Wall Street, Pack Square Park, and the South Slope. The coffee at Rowan is truly exceptional. Each cup is thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and served with care by passionate baristas. It can be rather challenging to find high quality cold brew these days, but the cold brew on offer her is some of the best I've found in Asheville. Whether you're enjoying a cappuccino, catching up with a friend, or studying/working near the back, Rowan provides the perfect atmosphere to unwind and savor the moment. My date ordered a mocha that morning, and based on the enthusiasm with which it disappeared, I'd be remiss not to mention it. The mochas are so good here that girls do circle back. And if you don't, you're missing out. What truly sets Rowan apart is its comfort. It's an intimate space without being overcrowded, stylish without being pretentious. It encourages conversation, reflection, and even accidental three-hour stays.
