Highly recommended. I have not been to the dentist in a long time and was finally forced by my wife to go after being hit by a car. We read reviews of multiple dentists and through a referral by a coworker ended at this place. Dr Poole made me feel extremely comfortable and walked me through every step of what they were doing. They also had neutral to good music playing (nobody wants to listen to "wrecking ball" before a dental visit) and each room had artwork decorated with what can only be described as a modern yet satirically confused view of nature. It definitely helps get your mind off of the dental work and actually makes the typically daunting dental experience much more inviting. When it came down to figuring out the work I needed to have done, they were very helpful with my insurance and options and even helped me work through the multiple insurance agencies involved due to the incident (health insurance, car insurance and dental insurance). Overall, sad to be needing a dentist but very happy it was Dr Poole. Do schedule appointments early in the morning or after the lunch rush as there is limited parking in the area during lunch. read more

Very strongly recommended. Because of my constant travel for last 4 years, I wasn't able to visit any dentist and because of that I had lots of cavities. Dr. Poole and his staff were highly professional and at the same time very personal and approachable. I had lots of bleeding in my gums while brushing my teeth. With 2 deep cleaning sessions, my bleeding is completely gone and my teeth are back in healthy state. Dr. Poole is by far the best dentist I have ever had. I haven't been to a dentist in about two years partly due to a horrible experience with another dentist and to be honest, I was quite nervous going into this appointment with Dr. Poole. But the appointment went smoothly and I will definitely be a returning patient! I thought I was developing a cavity and called yesterday to schedule an appointment. The receptionist, Terra, was very nice and professional. She was able to squeeze me in for an appointment this morning. The hygienist was also very nice and friendly. Patrice gave me some advice in the type of toothbrush and toothpaste to use going forward. She could tell I was nervous and made sure I was comfortable and constantly checked in during my cleaning process. Dr. Poole was very professional, friendly, and caring. He was very patient and answered all my questions and concerns. For once, I felt like I met a dentist who wasn't out to sell me random things I may not necessarily need. This was a lesson in listening to my gut. I walked in for my first appointment and the torrent of anger and sarcasm hit me so fast, I felt stunned, like I'd just been hit by a car. It was Liz, the scheduler. She was fuming that I hadn't called back to confirm my appointment and that I was 10 minutes late. She wasn't lying; I did do those things, and I take responsibility for them. However, her treatment was inexcusable. She dressed me down with so much dripping sarcasm and cruelty, that I had the thought "this is inhumane" and my body literally turned to go. But something in her voice got kinder, and I stayed. I saw on my file that she'd noted "was 10 minutes late for her first appointment." I wasn't aware that there's a "points system" at the dentist. Her anger seemed so out of proportion with the situation, that I chalked it up to her having something going on in her personal life, and just had the appointment. Not a good idea. I needed a cavity filled and I came for a second visit. I know I was given Novocaine, but the procedure was extremely painful. To this day, that tooth still hurts. Liz might've been having a bad day, but I will never forget the lesson it taught me. If you're being treated like a dog, get the dentist, tell him about the cruel treatment, and leave. read more

Dr. Poole is by far the best dentist I have ever had. He is patient and does whatever it takes to figure out how to correct something. I had an issue with my front tooth that kept chipping and having to be repaired - around 18 times within a few years and two previous dentist before Dr. Poole fixed the problem once and for all. It takes a lot for me to stop and write a review online; especially a good one, but Dr. Poole and his staff deserve it. We took our 7 year old grandson to Dr. Poole for a filling and sealants. Dr. Poole was fabulous with him- calm, gentle, and very competent. Just stepping into the office gives you confidence in his skills. The staff was so professional and friendly. The hygienist takes her time to really do a great job so you keep healthy gums - not just a hurried surface cleaning. Highly recommended! I hadn't been to a dentist in some time and thought I might have to lose one of my front teeth since it looked awful. Dr. Poole was a God send, literally! I had been looking for a dentist that I liked and wouldn't break the bank. For whatever reason, I was not finding any luck. Going to the dentist was not pleasant for me until I was recommended by a friend to check out Dr. Poole. I admit that I jumped around to find the perfect fit. I didn't feel like he was trying to get over or add on extra things. He was very honest and straight to the point. It didn't hurt that he could make you laugh out loud. He was able to convince me to get braces, I knew I needed them but I couldn't find a dentist who could get me ortho ready without the hassle. I've been going to him for over 3 yrs and while the commute is crazy because he is on the other side of town from where I live, it's worth me having a peace of mind. I think everytime I go, I get a different hygienist for my teeth to be cleaned but they all are good and pleasant. My husband even loves going to Dr. Poole. Ever since Dr. Poole worked on my tooth, I've had tooth sensitivity to cold. I went in for a filling because my friend had nothing but great things to say about him and his staff but I found him to be a little sarcastic. He told my friend when her temporary crown popped out that she could either return to his office or that she could go to the nearest pharmacy, buy herself some glue and try to do the best she could as to glue the crown back?? I was next to her in the car and he was on speaker and I thought to myself that was so unprofessional to say, how can a patient get her own crown glued??? How rude. And I still gave him a chance and went to get a filling done but nope not me. I got overcharged too but they can keep the money. I called once about the overcharge and was told that portion was not covered by the insurance. When calling my insurance again, they informed me that my share was zero because he is in network. I am not debating for 75.00 but will not return. read more

It's hard to find a dentist in the city that isn't just about business or associated with a dental franchise office but somehow I got very lucky and found Dr. Poole through a recommendation by a colleague. I have been a patient there since 2013. It's a small practice with a sweet receptionist. Often when I call my calls go straight to voicemail but I always leave a message and I always get a call back. He always takes notes of small talks during your visits and asks about them during your next visit, which makes me feel important. For example during a brief conversation I brought up that I was going abroad and during the next visit he asked me about my journey. Other dental offices I have been to always try to sale me products but not at Dr Poole office. He seems to really care about his patient. Even though he seems to always be busy and I have to make my appointments in advance to get the day and hour I prefer, one time I had an issue and his receptionist was able to get me in the next day. Having been to a practice where everybody was out to squeeze every dime out of you and another dentist whose filling job lasted only one day, I was more than delighted to have found Dr. Poole and his staff. He takes the time to explain the procedures he is going to take and he never attempts to perform any services I do not need. Dr. Poole is an amazing dentist that will calm your nerves and make it a pleasant experience. I have been coming to Dr. Poole for years and have recommended him to several friends and family members. He is extremely professional, very gentle, and his soothing demeanor calms even the most nervous! He is a perfectionist and that is key in a dentist. He does what he needs to do to get the job done not only correctly but perfect. I have been to other dentists and none of them come close in comparison to Dr. Poole's professionalism and expertise. The dentist is definitely not a fun place to go but with Dr. Poole it is great. I have been to Dr. Poole's office only twice but I am already very impressed by his professionalism. During the first visit, Dr. Poole suggested that we use a X-ray already done by my previous dental office, rather than taking it again. This is a breath of fresh air from the practice I've seen in other dental offices before. During my second visit, we are running behind on schedule and it was pushing against a pre-scheduled business meeting. Dr. Poole made a genuine effort trying to catch up on time. While apparently he and his assistant underwent quite a bit a stress during this process, they remained calm and exhibited grace under fire. I was a patient for 4 years. I went for check ups every 6 months. Each time Poole said everything was fine. I had been complaining of discomfort between my back teeth for 2 years of the four years. Every time, he said, "I don't see anything". Finally, on my last 6 month check up Poole confirmed that I had a cavity between my teeth. Not a teeny cavity, a massive one. Filled it and I was in tremendous pain after that. Went to another dentist and they confirmed that I had an additional 2 cavities. Never once did Poole mention a watch out or encourage better hygiene. It was like he was breeding the cavities to cash in on them. . After switching dentist, I have learned that Pooles facility and equipment are pretty outdated. Dr. Poole is so much more than a basic dentist. I had a pegged lateral tooth that was crowned 30 years ago. When that crown completely broke off, requiring dental surgery to expose enough original tooth to re-crown, Dr. Poole handled the entire procedure from start to finish. He was highly sensitive to this being a front tooth, and was exceedingly thorough to ensure that I was happy with the appearance, from shape to color and everything in between. From basic cleaning to involved surgery, Dr. Poole can handle it all in his office, so I didn't have to split treatment between my dentist and a surgical specialist. Throughout the procedure, he meticulously explained to me what he was going to do at every step before he did it, giving me comfort during the process. You know how awful it feels to be all numb and wondering what the heck is going on in your mouth. The care and concern he took to keep me informed made the whole situation so much less stressful.
