I am new to town and chose Buckhead Atlanta Dentistry based on my coworker's recommendation. I have a pretty good set of teeth, see the dentist every six months, brush twice daily, and even floss! So these tend to be pretty easy visits for me. The dental hygienist was really gentle which I appreciated, and Dr. Jasmine Hanjrah was nice as could be. Very unsatisfactory experience with this place. Aside from them not giving me the proper dental care, their overall customer experience was unsatisfactory. I was scheduled for an appointment in May where I was giving a standard cleaning which is atypical based on my normal dental routine. I advised the hygienist of this and because of the pandemic and for various other reasons that I don't understand, she decided to not perform a deep cleaning. I called to schedule a deep cleaning for November and once again was turned down once I was in the office by the hygienist and dissuaded from getting a deep cleaning for various reasons. These people are unqualified and incompetent. I would go to my normal dental place in vinnings but they were booked. They are much more professional and a overall better alternative than this place. Note to management: your processes and procedures and not efficient. A consultation should be done for all new patients so that you can assess their needs and treat them accordingly. Under treating a patient is unethical among other things and is just a waste of everyone's time. Do better. Aldo Black Lives Matter. Do a better job accommodating your African American clientele. I made an appointment here as a new patient for a check-up and because I was experiencing extreme pain in/from one of my teeth. So, I go in for the X-rays where the nurse tells me to put my front teeth in the groove. I do so. She tells me again. I tell her they're in there. She tells me again. I tell her again. She finally comes over and bodily tries to move me which causes some pain because, guess what, they were in the groove and moving me pushed them out by force. Well, then comes the pre-exam with the nurse who proceeds to jam the smaller scan-gun against the appliance in my mouth (jammed against my teeth). She does this several times before allowing the clip on plastic O-ring to fall partially into my mouth. Trust me, the fun is only just getting started. She asks me if I'm experiencing pain and I said I was and had been in constant pain for days. Finally, here comes Doctor Bodner who rolls through with his exam. Well, apparently he can see a cavity, but "nothing that should be causing pain." Well, I don't know what to tell you, because I'm in pain. Now mind you, I had to point to the tooth on the outside, point to it with my finger on the inside, then take off my glasses and point at it with their arm, then point out it with my tongue because he just cant seem to locate the tooth I'm talking about that would be in pain. Well, he refers me to a periodontist and sends me on my way...no treatment for the pain, no prescription for pain medication...nothing. Well. Periodontist can't see me for another two weeks and the pain is getting worse by the hour. Remember that scene in Castaway when Tom Hanks was so desperate for relief he broke his own tooth out with an ice skate? Think that level of pain. So we call back explaining that I'm in agonizing pain to the point where I can't sleep at night. We tell them that OTC stuff just isn't cutting it because I have the MC1R variant gene which means I have an unusually high tolerance for anesthetics and painkillers. I explained that I was taking some leftover Hydrocodone from my last dentist and even that was only barely taking the edge off. So, the receptionist schedules an emergency visit and advises us to arrive half an hour early for them to administer the correct dosage for treatment. Go in. Sit in the treatment room for the entire half hour staring at the paint dry. Doctor Bodner comes in and literally says the exact same thing he said the first time. He sees a cavity, but it shouldn't be causing pain, he has no explanation for why there is pain, I should go see the periodontist. I explain AGAIN that I'm in agonizing pain (and haven't slept for 5 days) he does a test to see if it's cold-induced pain (which I already told him it was 24/7 pain). He repeats about not knowing why there would be pain and to go to the periodontist. I explain that the appointment with them is still a week and a half away and I'm in pain now. I kid you not, this "DOCTOR" tells me to go home, take two ibuprofen and an aspirin and I'll be right as rain. I explain AGAIN about my tolerance and that I can take between 30 and 50 ibuprofen a day with no noticeable effect. He proceeds to tell me that doing that isn't good for my stomach but acts like he doesn't want to prescribe anything else. I tell him even hydrocodone is barely cutting it to which he snippily replies "Well, I'm not prescribing you hydrocodone!" as if I was a junkie looking for a fix rather than a patient who's twice come to him in agony. I explain it doesn't have to be hydrocodone, but it needs to be something stronger than an OTC medicine that hasn't been doing anything to alleviate my pan thus far. But again, he told me to just take two ibuprofen and an aspirin because he's not prescribing me ANYTHING and the only other thing he could recommend is that he could "call in" a dental surgeon to do an extraction. Keep in mind I thought that's what the appointment was for and was why the front desk told me I'd be numbed out appropriately. If you're in pain and looking for relief, I'd advise you to look anywhere other than here. Heck if you're looking for anything other than a cleaning I'd look somewhere else. These people don't seem to do anything. Need a root canal? Get referred somewhere else. Need an extraction? Get referred somewhere else. Need receding gums dealt with? Get referred somewhere else. Come to them in pain? Get treated like a junkie and told to go home and take two aspirin. Completely unprofessional quacks masquerading as doctors content to send you home with a band-aid on your severed limb. read more

I went to this practice earlier in the year and was pleased. Made an appointment for maintenance for July 10 at 7am. I got a text from the office manager at 9pm the night before cancelling my appointment. She stated she would call me the next day to rebook the appointment. Never heard back from her. I called a week later and the earliest they had available was 2 months away. I texted the office manager and she stated she put me on a call list for an earlier appointment. She stated they contacted me on several occasions for a cancellation but that was not true. Dr. Riley is great but office staff and the office manager does not do what they say they will do. Long story short I booked several months in advance for my July 10th appointment and as of today August 18th I have not been seen. the office manager is now saying they are booking in October and November read more

Simply the BEST dental practice in Atlanta - Dr. Jasmine Hanjrah and team are outstanding. Our entire family sees Dr. Hanjrah for regular checkups and cleanings, but the office really stood out when my daughter recently fell and needed a crown on her front tooth. Because it was a traumatic fall, she needed careful attention to ensure her crown was fitted properly with aesthetics that would match the rest of her teeth. Dr. Hanjrah is a perfectionist, and wanted to make sure the results were amazing. She worked tirelessly for multiple weeks to ensure my daughter's crown looked great, and never rushed her into any hasty decisions. She has an excellent eye for detail and the final results look so natural! Dr. Hanjrah is patient, empathetic, kind, and extremely smart. I'm not the best patient and have severe anxiety about going to the dentist.They explain everything to me beforehand, and go above and beyond to make their patients comfortable. I wasn't very pleased with my former dentist, so based on the recommendation of a colleague, I switched to Dr. Elizabeth Wagner at Dental Associates of Buckhead. I'm so glad I did! When I called to schedule visits for cleanings (me and my 4 year old), we were seen within two weeks. That was fine with me and we had to work around my schedule as much as hers. When we arrived, the offices were very open and well lit, the office staff greeted us, and there were current magazines and children's books to flip through in the waiting area. We were seen promptly. My daughter went first, and Keisha was our hygenist - she was just outstanding! My daughter loved her, Keisha spoke to her throughout the checkup and cleaning, asked her questions about brushing her teeth and about school. Dr. Wagner came in to do her check up, pronouced her great, and walked my daughter out to the treasure chest to select two toys. So guess who loves going to the dentist now?! When it was my turn, I was given the same thorough and professional service. The office space was well-lit, they were using better equipment than my former dentist, and the process went smoothly. They asked if I was having any issues, went over what they found and then sent me on my way. Her office is located on East Paces Ferry in the Aaron building. They have complimentary valet right out front (and the reception staff will call for your car when you're checking out!) or you can pay to park on the street or in a nearby parking garage. Warning!!! If I could give them a zero I would. I was not informed by the front desk secretary when I entered the office that my insurance was out-of-network. I was told I was out-of-network when leaving the visit. A few weeks later I was hit with a huge very unexpected bill. Their explanation was, "We emailed you to inform you that you were out-of-network". Please double check with your insurance before your visit. read more

Dr. Riley and her team are fantastic. They are able to get you in to the office quickly, schedule follow-up appointments quickly and are both knoweldgable and friendly. The hygenists are knowledgable and caring and Dr. Riley gave great advice on best oral care practices. And there is no pressure or sales pitches for whitening and other cosmetic procedures that has become so common in dental practices. I had a cavity filled as well and she was a hoot during the filling- took my mind off the drilling! I would recommend this office to anybody! read more

Not happy with the overall experience over a year or so - from the inability of the staff to take a usable set of X-rays, to comments during the procedure about how it's not going well, to delaying a much-needed referral to a specialist, to recommending a crown where only a filling was needed, to blaming the perfectly healthy patient who takes very good care of his teeth for his dental issue, to the dated and not-so-clean office - probably my worst dental experience in 40 years. On a small positive note, the staff was nice and follow-up was great. Switched dentists and ecstatically happy with the new practice. I went to Buckhead Atlanta Dentistry in a sort of "emergency" state with a sore tooth on a recommendation from a coworker. I haven't had any issues with my teeth in years, and don't like when I go into a dental office and they immediately hit me with a list a mile long of things that need to be done immediately. Dr. Hanjrah was not like that - she was immediately easy to talk to and up front with me. She figured out what was going on with me in a matter of minutes and was willing to stay that day and fix it. She was honest with me about what needed to be done now versus what could wait and be done in the future. She and her assistant Kaitlyn put me at ease and made me laugh a lot during the procedure. I'll be back in less than a month to get a cleaning and take care of a few more teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Hanjrah (or the whole office in general), especially if you are uneasy about going in the first place. read more

Got a good check up which always makes me happy they do a thorough job with my entire mouth since I battle gum disease. They also seem genuinely concerned about you not just your mouth. Dr. Riley is the crown diva. She has done 2 crowns for me and I would not go to any other dentist. Had numerous crowns in the past with less competent dentists all the way from Buckhead to Dunwoody and many stops in between but she nails it. read more
