We had the worst experience. We were booked for several weeks and put a lot of confidence into this company. This was such an important move in the middle of heavy grief. After my grandmothers death, We trusted them to move and empty my grandmothers home and move my mother in with me. One hour away. We were booked for a one day move. The team was ran by Clint. Clint was absolutely awful. I caught him going through my mother's medication, and I should have called the police at that time but after a lot of stress and sleep deprivation, I chose to deal with it at a later time. I moved the meds and kept my eye on him. Grant and Devin were very pleasant and polite. James was good. More of a leader but unfortunately had an unpleasant experience with him the NEXT day. Due to Clint's unprofessionalism the move was not completed the first day. (Clint was walking around telling us that his "balls" were chaffed.) The next day, James arrives as the team lead and I discover that Clint called off and didn't want to come back. He brought Jeremiah and Jacob with him - both polite. - James admitted to us that the move should have been completed the first day but wasn't due to Clint's incompetency. Him and Clint argued in front of us that the job could have been completed. The secind day things seemed to be so much better minus Clint but they were careless and i kept catching them load the truck without wrapping anything. Fast forward to after the second day and I call a supervisor since no one ever called me to follow up on the allegations. I spoke to a supervisor for 5 mins and he was rude and condescending and it was unbelievable. He even told me he no longer wanted to hear about "Clint's balls" and I told him I certainly never wanted to either! I have now been trying to call the company all week - left messages - says voicemail box is full. No return calls. They refunded me one days worth of the travel fee. I am leaving this review and then I have a long list of places I'm reporting this company to, disputing with my bank, and filing BBB reports. This place came highly recommended and I am just in complete disbelief at how much they let us down. My mother has been crying for days as she adds more and more damaged and broken family heirlooms to the pile. You all really let us down. Shame on all of you. read more

But considering they broke a floor mirror of mine that I liked very much and offered me $15 compensation for it and for the damage to my cherry furniture I have noticed since settling in, I cannot give them a five-star review. I wrote a review previously, that I am now replacing because my initial experience with these guys was less than stellar but they have since made up for it. I understand stuff happens, and everything can't be controlled, but you can do your best to fix it and that's what they did. To sum it up, I scheduled a move of my 2 bedroom apartment, and of 4 guys sent, only one of them would I hire back. The short version of the story is it took twice as long as estimated for the move, and the moving crew wasn't very professional. However, after my poor experience, the company reached out to me on their own accord, and offered to check out the situation and reimburse me some of my money. They did this on their own accord, as I had chalked it up to a loss. The rep that came out seemed genuinely concerned and apologetic for his crew's performance. He was polite, professional, and heard me out. I changed my review because I want to give these guys credit for reaching out, following up, and making an effort. Horrific! My mother hired them to move her into a Senior Living facility. They charged more, however, we felt like they would be more professional. Not the case. We were standing there talking to the movers and one of them dropped a metal apparatus and caused wounds on her leg in three places. I took her to the Urgent care the next day, however, after going through with multiple wound care doctor appointments it still has not healed 2+ months later. She now has to have surgery on her leg and the moving company will not take any sort of responsibility for injuring my 86 year old mother. I was there and saw exactly what happened! These two young men were punctual, extremely polite, and I feel they went above and beyond to make this move pleasant. We used them to move us from one unit to another unit on the same floor. When the reservation was made, they didn't tell us that there was a two hour minimum or there was a $60 truck roll fee. We paid $300 for an hour worth of services and they NEVER LEFT THE BUILDING OR THE FLOOR. The workers also stated that they are left to tell the customers about the fees upon arrival. We had different crews for both parts of the move and all the guys were great and went above and beyond - carried a table 10 houses down to a neighbor's when it wouldn't fit in the pod on move-out, waited an hour and a half on the pod guy who was late on move-in). They destroyed two pieces of furniture the owner Matt promised to fix them for us - made us wait 2 weeks for someone of his trust to come and give an estimate only to find out at this very moment that he decided not to do anything for us. They charged me $1,000 to load (JUST LOAD) 2 pods!!!! PLEASE READ SO YOU DON'T GET RIPPED OFF! This was my first time using Atlanta Moving solutions and I am a VERY firm believer in offering a company a little understanding that everyone has off days. I RARELY EVER post a negative review on any business, I am in the service industry and know first hand how hard it can be to please everyone. However, this company took advantage of me. I called Atlanta moving solutions off of a cleaver ad they left on my door step. I am bad about waiting until the last second and called this company about 7 days before the date of the actual move.... I only needed movers to load 1 20 ft POD at the time. The owner explained they do hundreds of these every year, and that they would have it done in under 3 hours and that the cost would be $475.00 *I had sticker shock for the simple fact I'd NEVER heard such a high price, but I also had a week to move and knew I needed something FAST and figured it they are the best, let's just do it! *I take partial blame for this, I should have allowed myself more time to receive multiple quotes, but being a single mother of three does not leave much free time* On the day they were due to move me, they arrived at 2 pm (3 guys total)... at that time is was brought to their attention I now had 2 pods, one 16 foot and one 20 foot... the owner called me because I was not there at the moment *I had my grandmother there* and said "we thought it was one, we will do our best"... he never mentioned new fee's... nothing, I assumed it might take longer and I might have to pay more but I didn't expect another $475.00 charge which I was informed to pay at the end of the evening! However, my sole complaint isn't just the EXTREME price. I am always willing to pay for outstanding service, but I didn't receive that! I ordered 4 mattress covers with my PODS which are water proof and dust proof, all 4 of which the movers moved outside the pods when they began to load... later that evening I noticed ALL 4 mattress covers had never been opened or used and yet all my very nice mattresses had been loaded! When I approached the loader to explain I had purchased extremely nice mattresses and I wanted them protected He basically admitted he forgot about them and that I will be fine to not put them on! So I am paying you $1,000 and you get to make the call on IF you will put on the mattress covers I purchased?!?!? I called the owner, I was calm, and kind but explained my concern and disappointment. He also said "oh your mattresses will be fine" "I'll refund you the cost of your mattress covers you bought if you like, but that's it" so... I just bought 3 EXTREMELY nice mattresses 3 months ago that I saved YEARS to buy and I've paid you $1,000 (I will soon find out) to move them and you simply tell me get over it? They will be fine? As they sit in a nasty dirt and dust covered pod soaking up goodness knows what? I get it might seem small to some, but I have children with health issues and this is important to me! I am not trying to be rude, but I am paying you, and expecting you to utilize mattress covers I purchased for just this move should not be ranked above expectation. I finally hung up knowing the owner was not offering to take out my mattresses that have been packed and cover them. THEN... while I am inside helping grab boxes to bring outside to load, apparently the original crew I had got changed out for a group of young kids and no one even told me. It began to rain, they left furniture sitting in the rain, knocked over and damaged lamps, took the wet furniture and placed it into the pod without wiping off the water, and kept handing me random bolts and going "this went to some of your stuff, you might want to put them up"... UM... WHAT STUFF?!?!? Why is this not in little bags and tapped to whatever it belonged to like EVERY OTHER MOVER WHO MOVED ME IN THE PAST HAD DONE! This happened to me 4 different times and I know have a collection of bolts I have no clue what items they belong to! I finally handed them tape and told them TAPE THE BOLTS TO THE STUFF! Lastly... after fully loading, I walked upstairs to vacuum and realized they forgot the washer and dryer! I had tagged every item not being moved with a yellow tag labeled STAY and the washer and dryer were not one of them. The young boys said sorry, mentioning the original crew that left did not tell them there was a washer and dryer still in the home. The poor young boys then had to unload a decent amount of stuff *in the rain* and reload to fit my washer and dryer... The crew of three men arrived at my home at 2 pm and the crew of 6 young boys did not leave until almost 8 pm due to repacking and then told me "you owe us $998.00 for 2 PODS ma'am". I paid them because I don't stiff people... but this company just used a single mom of 3 and didn't even provide me care or service in the process. I won't be recommending them EVER! It took me a few months to write this review, mostly due to the haunting experience I had with Atlanta Moving Solutions that still leaves an unsettling feeling with me. I used this company in March 2016 and had the best crew ever, move me and my family to our temporary housing until our permanent home was ready, six months later. They were so professional, quick, accommodating, and courteous that I knew for sure I would use the company again when we moved 6 months later. So I called and scheduled the second move and even requested the same guys move us again, if possible. It wasn't. I did request one extra person since the three guys worked so hard the first time. The owner stated that he would also send one extra guy during our conversation, scheduling the last move. I received a call the day before the scheduled date saying the movers were at the storage unit. I panicked because they were a day early. After speaking to the owner again, he assured me the mix up wasn't a problem, and that they would see me the following day. The day of the move I sat almost an hour at the storage unit waiting on them. At this point I am comparing the moves and thinking the last time went very well and already I've had two hiccups, I hoped it was not a bad sign. Sure enough it was. The movers literally took their time. It was five men and they were in no hurry whatsoever to complete this move, unlike the crew before. I had to say three times that we needed to get a move on, as they stood around outside and cracked jokes and talked about the game that was on that day with GA Tech and some of the upcoming games that day. I didn't mind the cell phone being on the game while they worked at first, but clearly they were distracted. By the way, like the last move our apartment was packed and ready to go, except for the kitchen drawers, and a break down needed for a basic full size bed. After I finished the kitchen and the bed, we were still waiting. Finally we got on the road, and only needed to go 7 miles up the road to the new house, so I cannot say the commute took up any of the time, they were just plain slow. At the new house as they unpacked the truck and moved funiture and boxes in, they scuffed, scratched, and dented walls, handrails, and doors. By the way, the walls had just been painted and new carpet laid down so I said to them to please be careful. Once they were done they asked if I wanted them to put the beds together. Last move the crew put things away and put the beds together, which I thought was great. This time I didn't want them to do anything, but leave especially since it took so long and they had run up my time in order to get a bigger charge. I told them no. As I did the walk through with the main crew member I pointed out all of the damage done to the walls, doors, and rails. Sadly I even noticed damge to the furniture. That is when I became angry and said that they would have to pay for these damages. And why not, I had purchased the insurance. The guy gave me the owner's contact and instructions on how to notify him. He also said that he would make him aware of this also with the photos he took. So when I called to start this process, which I hoped would be easy since the move was already overwhelming, I was intimidated by the owner whose only concern was that I didn't pay the rate he gave the crew of five to do the job. On the day of the move the main crew member said to me at the storage unit that he felt I was misquoted the amount for the move, because he thought it was way to high for what the job was and that they didn't need that many guys. So he changed it and that should have been taken up with them and not me. The owner actually said to me so what you are telling me is that you paid less that what you were suppose to for your move and now you want more money out of me? I told him to take that up with his crew, but he needed to handle my damages. He agreed to come to our home and look at the damages a few days later. After the call I was so shocked at how he spoke to me that I called back and told him that I had a family emergency and would not be able to have him come over. There wasn't going to be anyone home that day but me, and after that call I was so uncomfortable with the thought of being home alone with him. I know the owner got the photos that were taken, and never tried to reach back out to settle this. I have to admit, even three months later when I think about how bad of an experience I had compared to the first experience I had it makes me sick to my stomach. I wish I had stood my ground against him. But what I can do now, is warn anyone else about doing business with this company. This is really a buyer beware kind of thing. You may be quoted more with another company, but please factor in the experience that you get too. For me in the long run it would have been better to go with a more known company that gave a higher quote. At least my experience would have been better. read more
