Among work, parenting, getting things done, and living life, I like to think I take every opportunity to make a connection 'organically', hoping to find someone special to spend life with. It can take months making yourself vulnerable, making conversation and attempts at witty banter in line at Publix, in the lingerie section of Macy's (kidding), or a business association social, or finding words to catch the attention of a smiling face wearing a fetching fragrance who slides-in next to you at the bar to order, or that dancing free spirit who catches your eye while rocking with Tinsley Ellis at Terminal West, approaching, trying to find commonality and then risk asking to meet for coffee resulting in 'Oh, you're so sweet', as in 'bless your heart, you are SO desperate'. Forget your married friends setting you up with their friends. They don't have any single friends, if they do, it's for a reason. The good ones are all married or in a committed relationship. Otherwise, be very wary if they describe their friend as 'cute'. They avoided using 'attractive' and you'd be dreaming if they used 'beautiful' or 'gorgeous' to describe their personality (or their looks). Forget meeting someone at yoga. Even though you're the only man in room full of women, it just simply isn't a social activity, they are infinitely more capable of graceful mobility to further challenge any confidence you may muster, and after a few weeks seeing someone in class who exchanges smiles and after approaching them, it turns out they were just being nice and sure to work 'my husband' into the conversation. Who wears their wedding band while exercising? We can all get lonely at times, wanting to do anything to move forward, even signing up on dating apps at 11pm on a Saturday such as OK Cupid, Bumble, Tinder, etc. I believe women either have a genuine fear of meeting nefarious men or a genuine desire. The former being rightfully timid women overwhelmed with responses of pictures of men's privates and fishing trips, the latter being a group of red light professionals cast aside by Craigslist or worse, nefarious men in Ukraine luring you with modeling agency photos and promise of coming to the US to show their love after getting the money wired to them for that Visa application. Just keep swiping left, just delete the app. You're not going to find love much less a date. You'll be lucky to exchange a half dozen texts with someone who looks 10yrs younger in the photos, because they were. This is when you figure out you should have spoken with and signed up for matchmaking services from Single Atlanta from the get go. It's their job. Sure, the services aren't free, neither was all that time you spent with the other means you took to find your Huckleberry. You get matched. You get dates with lovely, accomplished women. You give feedback (your date gives feedback). You get matched and date again. I have been a customer or Single Atlanta for about 6 months. I have not had the pleasure of meeting either of the owners but I have met three people on the staff and everybody is absolutely amazing! I have to specially mention Julie Anne - a lady that was assigned for me. She goes out of her way and above and beyond all the expectations to bring customers complete satisfaction and fulfillment of all of their needs and requests. Julie Anne talks to everybody in person and answers all of their questions and addresses all of their concerns plus she encourages the client for successful dating and gives tips on how to get the best results. One time I stopped by close to the closing hour and Julianne was still sitting down with some lady customer in the private room consulting her on how to date and what to do. After that she went met with me and she didn't have to because I was already signed up and paid. Just this past weekend Julie Anne has set me up with the date of my dreams!!!! I have never met a more amazing and extraordinary man than this person. I have many strict requirements and I'm very picking but he is everything I hoped for and Julie Ann have found him for me. I'm really looking forward to see how the relationship unfolds. Finding a soul mate is a task of a lifetime that many don't ever accomplish that even on their own. So in the business of such intimate nature where personal opinion is everything - anyone is bound to run into a "blaming game" especially when they fail to take care/look good and expect everyone to love them for who they are...... Hence - bad reviews from some. I can guarantee you that if you have reasonable expectations and look for a reasonable match pretty much same as what you have and who you are - Single Atlanta will provide it for you! They spent so much time in taking care of their customers and put so many efforts together to find the best match for everyone that after being with them for 6 months I realize that this is real service and real help to busy people who want the best in their lives. When I joined Single Atlanta, I was excited... I havent had great luck on the dating scene here in the Atlanta area and have used every online dating app there is,...I was looking for something else...something better...I wanted to find a woman that I can enjoy being with...I went in an interviewed with one of the owners Lisa..we talked for some time and then I asked price...I was told $5000 when she saw my hesitiance and my response was i'll think about it she quickly dropped the price to $2500..I thought that was reasonable so I joined.. I was assigned a matchmaker and I got Ami as my matchmaker...Ami and I developed a friendship..so I thought...she is sweet and tells you what you want to hear but try getting her to call you back..sometimes she does, sometimes she doesnt...you will have to chase her...She did volunteer some useful inside info on Single Atlanta...and how if you are fairly wealthy their plans can range to $15K and up...but they are promised their soul mate...so what are they finding for me...the bottom of the barrel? They pretty much toss dates at you in hopes that something sticks...they ask you what type of woman you are looking for and you give specifics...does that matter...NOPE...they are going to give you what they have, there was never a woman in the age range I wanted or type of personality or interests...etc...when someone new comes though...they give you their info and you connect...period.. I believe I got 10 dates where in which 1 woman I went out on a 2nd date with and the reason she wanted to go out with me again because she said I was normal (so what were the other guys she went out with) For me it was just a shot in the dark...no rhyme or reason to the dates other than they were available and in my age range but not my preferred age range The women I went out with were fairly nice in most cases but it is dating and you like some and they dont like you and vice versa...but none were that special one, not even close... They asked if I wanted to renew when my contract was over and they told me it would be $3000.. I told them I could have the same results for $3000 as I did for free on Plenty of Fish...Would I recommend Single Atlanta...sure I would if you have the money and just want to go out on dates...Do I think they are going to find you soulmate...HAHAHA...not unless you have $15k to spend...and up...I wonder what you get for the and up? Dating in the professional world is tough. You have to be patient and willing to work with the folks at Singles Atlanta (SA). The point of this write up is to let you know that if you are patient and have some understanding that this dating game is a long term investment in your future, then you will be successful in my opinion. All that being said the SA matchmakers were GREAT! They helped keep me calm when stuff didn't work out and they also ended up finding me my current wife! The details and lengths that they go to are what set them apart. I had tried other services, all the online dating disasters (POF, Match, etc.) and SA simply is the best out there. It's not without pain pain though and anyone wanting a decent, serious relationship for life should be ready for some bumps. I found the perfect wife after 7 dates - and many of those weren't pretty.
