Hi, I had a non-anticipated horrible experience with Atlanta Prime Roofing. A summer thunderstorm hit my neighborhood on June 7, 2025, a Saturday. On June 8th, a Sunday, Alex Sanchez, a Sales employee for Atlanta Prime Roofing, along with several of his colleagues, were walking through my neighborhood knocking on doors asking homeowners to do business with Prime Atlanta Roofing. Alex appeared to be genuine and ethical. He stated that 9 other homeowners in the community had signed up. Specifically, he referred to the HOA President and an HOA active board member. He was a pushy salesperson, but I liked his personality, and I liked the answer that he gave me when I clearly stated that I did not want to have any issues. He stated that I had his word. Also, he clearly stated that if my Homeowners Insurance deductible was $2,000 or less, then Atlanta Prime Roofing would waive my policy deductible. I asked him for a written document that clearly stated that my $1,000 deductible would be waived by Atlanta Prime Roofing. Thus, I would not have to pay a deductible. I spoke to him on my front porch, so I have him on my home video surveillance camera, and he clearly stated what I just reported above in my complaint. He filed the claim himself with my insurance company on June 7, 2025, via his cellular phone. From June 7th to June 25th, Alex called continuously and relentlessly, he texted me, and stopped by my home numerous times unnecessarily, thus being overly friendly, to let me know how many new homeowners in my community had signed up. He also inquired about what day and time my Insurance company's Claims Adjuster was going to come. to inspect my roof. He was also stopping me in the community when he would see me, and he had several conversations with my Life partner too, when he would see him in the community, about my upcoming roof job. My Claim Adjuster came out on June 19th at 9:00 a.m..... Alex showed up and met him and got his business card. On June 25, 2025, I gave Alex a certified $14,887.35 check. From 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on June 25th, Atlanta Prime Roofing was at my home installing a new roof on my home. At 7:00 p.m., I walked up to the community clubhouse to drive my car home and park my car in my driveway. As I was pulling up in the driveway, I saw the issues specified in the attached pictures. I was inside my home all day, which Alex knew. Alex was at my home with the contractors. He never bothered to tell me that my gutter had been damaged, that some of the shingles were standing up, nor about the other concerns that are shown on the attached pictures. Once Alex received the $14,887.35 check, he made "zero" attempts to notify of the above clearly explained, documented legitimate concerns. I had to realize the issues on my own. It took me filing a complaint with the HOA to finally get Alex to inform me on June 27th Friday that Atlanta Prime Roofing would be replacing my gutter. On June 25th, via text message, he told me that the "yellow substance" that I saw on my roof was the oil that was used to glue the shingles down, and he said that the roof looks the way it does because the builder was at fault for the layout design of the roof. Alex recommended and pushed me to sign up for the GAF roof versus having the same roof that the builder had put on my home installed. On July 1, 2025, a new 6-inch gutter was put on my home. I was not given anything in writing that reflects what day the new gutter was installed or what type and size of gutter was installed. Atlanta Prime Roofing refused to provide any written documentation when I requested supportive documentation. From July 1, 2025, to July 17, 2025, Alex was constantly texting me and harassing me about the final payment, although he had the Claims Adjuster's business card. The day that I received the final check from my insurance company, I notified the HOA. The check cleared my bank account on July 17th. At my Life Partner's request, I ran up to the bank and got a certified check for the remaining amount that was owed; $3,193.43, and gave it to Alex Sanchez. Alex informed me and my Life Partner verbally that within a couple of hours, I would receive my warranty paperwork. When I did not receive my warranty paperwork, I texted Alex. He texted me back and said that he had not turned the check in yet. Then, when several hours had gone by, I followed up with him again. Then, he said that Atlanta Prime Roofing has to wait until my certified check clears the bank. A certified check is an immediate guarantee form of payment. This is why I requested it versus my bank providing me with a money order or me writing a personal check. As of July 20, 2025, I have not received my warranty paperwork yet. No one from Atlanta Prime Roofing Company, from the day Alex filed a roofing claim on my behalf, which was on June 7th, to July 17, 2025, has ever called me at all about anything. Atlanta Prime Roofing is a great company to do business with! Matthew Diaz, their representative, walked us through the process, dealt with our insurance company, and kept us in the loop every step of the way. Their team of roofers are very skilled, efficient, responsive and easy to communicate with and didn't leave one speck of trash in our yard after installing our new roof.. Also, they were prompt and timely with the roof replacement. As far as workmanship they just cannot be beat and we would recommend them over any other roofing company in the Atlanta area.
