Every subcontractor did beautiful work - the tile company and shower door company in particular. The bathrooms are fantastic and have been rescued from 1987. Martha was our Project Manager and she was above-and-beyond outstanding! Very communicative and listened to our concerns over some details - all of which were addressed immediately. She was on-site during active work 95% of the time. The other 5%, she called. Martha was never unreachable and it made us feel way less stressed. Beginning to end was pretty quick and painless - maybe 8 weeks, tops.

The remodel included a heated floor system, that all documentation said was to be connected to 120 volt circuit. Unfortunately, their electrical team installed it on a 220 volt circuit. We didn't find this out until a few years later when the thermostat failed, and a manufacturers rep diagnosed the problem. Fortunately only the thermostat failed although according to the manufacturer the floor elements could have also failed do to the over voltage situation. When DB Atlanta was first notified they indicated they would be willing to work with us to correct the problem, but eventually refused to return our phone calls, refused to answer a complaint filed with the BBB, and refused to respond to a letter from our attorney. We have more projects in future but would never again use DB Atlanta, nor could we recommend them.

I was looking to have hardwood floors (previously purchased at a flooring warehouse) installed in my home along with a few heavy lifting projects around my house (door replacements, light fixtures, drywall repair). I had been getting estimates for weeks and received a variety of answers from "we can't use this material, you have to buy from us or we can't install" to "your drywall just needs a good scrape and paint, it should be fine" (which was not true since it had giant bits of TAR on it from a mirror and some pretty extensive dings in the drywall underneath). In comes Home-Aid Home Repair to the rescue. Mike came over within 2 days of me emailing him and gave me a written estimate the next day - which was also a holiday. Color me impressed! Price-wise, he was less than some of the other estimates I'd received and he also took the time to explain to me why certain things were possible with my materials and exactly what he was going to need to purchase to complete the project. I knew that I wanted to work with someone I trusted and who would "keep it real" with me throughout the process and he was all that and more. I confirmed him to work on my place right away. He and his crew showed up the following Monday on time (they even called in advance to say they were on their way) and they worked for 3 days to give my place a total facelift. They were up front about my displacement (they had to re-pour concrete which meant my dog and I had to find alternative housing, which was no big deal since they told me in advance) and also walked me through the whole process of what they were planning to do and how, along with the materials they were planning on using. I visited the site every day (not because I was checking in, but because I ran out of clothes/forgot things at my house) and they were working away every time! They were always exceedingly cordial and always called me "Miss" when I would arrive at my house. In the end, it ended up taking them 3 days to complete the job when he initially predicted it would take 4. The floors looked beautiful and he and his crew put everything back where it belonged as well as cleaned up after the construction mess. He also provided copies of the receipts for everything he purchased (no upcharging on materials!) By the end of the third day and they'd left, I just sat in my condo in total awe of the work that they'd done and how amazing my place looked. All-in-all, Mike and his crew are the diamond standard of home renovations and once my list of things to work on builds up a bit more, I have no hesitation in hiring him again for all of my home repair needs.

I was hesitant to go with this company since they didn't have any reviews yet, but since they had the Yelp Shield guarantee (up to $2500) I took the chance. I am glad none of the other contractors got back to me because I couldn't be happier with the work and performance of the contractor/this company. Communication from the get go was excellent starting from New Years Day when I first reached out. Always responded quickly. I have had some really bad experiences in the past with contractors (especially drywall) and my husband is extremely picky so I was very nervous! I will definitely use this company again for any future work and highly recommend them. Alfredo Reyes is who did our work. He did speak very little English, but the only time we really needed to communicate (confirming arrival time for the next day) we texted the company and they answered immediately, so that was a non-issue. Alfredo was friendly, always on time and cleaned up very well. The job was completed quickly and on time. The price for the job was also very reasonable. Very, very pleased.
