I ordered the 6 piece wings and Philly Combo that also comes with French fries and a soda. The food was cooked to order and I really appreciated that because I always want my food fresh and hot. Overall, I was satisfied with my selection and I would recommend this restaurant again. The ambiance was very busy with customers coming in and out placing and picking up orders. My son put me on to ABW. He was waiting the seasoned salt wings & fries & let me try and now every so often i put an order in. He gets that and honey bbq wings some time. I really like their french fries; they be gone by time I reach home. Staff is pleasant and they stay busy. I called one time i was heading home and they had bout 25 minutes before closing. It was rubbery and chewy and had bones. However, I did like the butter lemon pepper wings. I oddly also really enjoyed the lemonade. Wings were OK ... I drove all the way home, SUPER exited to enjoy, just to find they burned my shrimp to literal ROCKs and told me "once I left the store that there's nothing they could do." I would think, that if a restaurants' food was inedible- that they would want to fix it. For personal GROWTH. They should make a sign stating that we should TASTE everything before leaving because I don't understand how I would know the shrimp was burned. This particular ABW is located next to a Chevron, and a steady stream of to-go orders kept patrons coming in and out. However, there were some tables so dining in was an option. Music was clubby dancey stuff that contrasted with the football on the TV. I ordered the 10 dry lemon pepper wings with one side for $7.99. You can get your wings regular or crispy; I selected crispy. It looked like there was a shaker of lemon pepper seasoning on the counter but I found the amount used to be fine to my tastebuds. The wings were a little small but otherwise really tasty and not dry, which can happen with crispy wings You aren't just limited to fries at ABW. I got fried okra as my side. The okra was kinda oily but crunchy with thick breading and were pretty good. Massive portion. You also get one stick of carrot and one stick of celery. Atlanta's Best Wings. This is the original. I was told there are 5-6 other locations, but they're all independently owned and operated. In other words, this is not a franchise. I'm no wings aficionado, so I don't know if this restaurant really does have Atlanta's best wings. However, I did enjoy the wings I ordered here very much. This restaurant is more of a take-out joint than anything. It's attached to the Chevron gas station at the corner of Memorial Drive and Columbia Drive. The area is a little sketchy and so can be the clientele. However, I don't think it's bad enough to deter anyone from trying out this place, especially if one is just ordering food to-go. There are plenty of parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant and in the Kroger shopping plaza behind. The first thing I noticed about this place is it's a great value. I ordered a 20-piece wings with 2 sides for only $13.09 -- an excellent deal for sure. To give you an idea on pricing (and if you care to linear interpolate), you can order as little as 6 pieces for $4.04 and as many as 100 pieces for $49.89. Sides include cajun rice, yellow rice, coleslaw, French fries, fried okra, hush puppies, jalapeno bottle caps (deep-fried slices of jalapeno), onion rings, and side salad. There are over a dozen wing sauces you can choose from in a variety of spiciness levels. Just because this place is called Atlanta's Best Wings doesn't mean it doesn't have other foods to offer. If wings aren't your thing, you can also order chicken tenders, fried fish (whiting, tilapia, catfish, flounder), shrimp, clam strips, fried oysters, stuffed crabs, sub sandwiches, burgers, and salads (8 different kinds of salads!). In my 20-piece wing order, I chose the Honey Garlic Pepper and Mild Teriyaki flavors. Both were very good. The wings were standard-sized. I was given the option of having them prepared regular or extra crispy. I chose regular. It's nice to have that option. Also, all wing orders are made fresh and the different types of meat are fried in its own separate fryer. Actually, this is standard practice. I preferred the Honey Garlic Pepper over the Mild Teriyaki because it was sweeter and there was less sauce. The Mild Teriyaki was still tasty, though. The wings were demolished. Even though I did not order them extra crispy, I thought they were sufficiently and appetizingly crispy enough. For sides, I ordered the fried okra and cajun rice. I heard the yellow rice is good, but the kitchen was out of it by the time I ordered. The okra was big and consistently bready. It was not as salty nor as greasy as I am accustomed to, and I have eaten *a lot* of fried okra -- it's one of my favorite Southern sides. The cajun rice was decent. I think I would have preferred the yellow rice that others were recommending. One thing I like about the sides is the portion size is quite generous. Service is good. The owner has been working here for many years. He is stern and efficient. The other staff are friendly and helpful. Note you will have to wait 10 minutes or so for your wings order to be completed as everything is made-to-order. One suggestion I have is that they should offer wet naps (a.k.a. moist towelettes) like other wings joints do. The fact that they don't shows you how much of a take-out joint rather than dine-in restaurant this place is. In summary, some very good wings at a great value can be had at Atlanta's Best Wings. When you think of Atlanta's best wings, you probably don't think that the store you'll walk into is going to be linked up to a gas station. Yep, that alone will turn off a lot of people from trying this place out, and that'll be their loss. The first thing about Atlanta's Best wings that caught my eye were their prices. I ordered a 50 piece, which came to $27.50, and after adding two sides, french fries and fried okra, the grand total was just over $30. If you're with a group that wants their own flavors, a 50 piece order of wings can have four different flavors. I didn't go that crazy, but instead I just got their butter lemon pepper wings (30 of them), and their honey garlic pepper (20 of them) True to its name, the butter lemon pepper wings were swimming in butter, and are considered "wet" lemon pepper. The flavor of the wings was not as strong a flavor as i'd have liked, and they were cooked okay, juicy, and not shriveled small wing pieces i've seen at other places. These wings were nicely sized. The honey garlic pepper wings were the same in terms of cook and size, but the honey flavor wasn't super sweet, which was a good thing. The garlic also cut down on the remaining sweetness, and it was a really good wing sauce too. Gotta be honest, I was expecting a bit more from the sides. The french fries were crinkle cut fries, and while they were cooked fine, they weren't at all crispy like i'd like. Before you leave, you can use their season salt, lemon pepper seasoning or generic salt to season your fries. The okra was another fail for me. I like my okra super crispy and aggressively seasoned. The breading had no flavor at all, and they weren't very crispy either. Don't get me wrong, salt saved both the Okra and the fries, but without adding salt, they were both not very good. With all this talk of wings and french fries, I did want to mention there's more here than those to order. Between grilled subs (philly steak or chicken), fried fish (whiting mostly), salads and shrimp seafood platters, Atlanta's best wings likely has something for you. Since this place is located next to the gas station, parking can and will be tight at times. There are no red light exits, and since Atlanta's best sits right at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Columbia Drive, getting out in either direction is going to be tough at times. Is Atlanta's Best wings actually Atlanta's Best? At one time, maybe? But I have had better, which isn't to say these wings are good....it's just that they have a lot to live up to with a name like Atlanta's Best. If you're looking for a wing fix at a cheap price with a lot of wing sauce variety, try this place, or one of the many Atlanta's Best wings locations out (not chains, but i've heard great things about the other locations and their flavors)! read more

When i first called they wouldn't take my order with an out of state number, Ive never heard of a place doing this, ever. When I called back on a friends phone minutes later, they told me they were too busy and I had to come in and order. So feeling like I was on a quest I didn't want to give up on I drove down there ordered and waited. I am not even comprehending how they packed all of that flavor into the wings but I was rummaging for every tasty morsel. Even the gristle was steeped in flavor ( yes, I am a fan!).
