I found a great used Honda CR-V here in their "clearance" lot. Because of a terrible experience we had elsewhere a few years ago, my husband and I were very leery of dealerships. Our salesman Paul was helpful and straightforward with us. He and one of the managers did everything they could to get us to take the car home that day, which wasn't entirely a bad thing. However the stress began when it came time to sign papers. It was the end of the day and everyone was ready to go home, including us. We wanted to take our time and thoroughly review all of the paperwork. The numbers weren't making sense to us or adding up. Finally they claimed they must've made a mistake and "accidentally" entered a fee twice. This fee was around $2,000 so that was quite a mistake! This seemed very shady so we were ready to walk away, but in the end we decided to go through with it since it seemed like everything worked out in our favor. First, let me start by saying that I landed here through a referral. I'm glad I made the 90 plus mile trip. The prices are reasonable and the sales and finance team are extremely attentive. I had an excellent buying experience. If you are looking for an excellent salesperson with extensive knowledge on the product you are making a significant investment in, I suggest working with Anna J. If you've ever purchased a vehicle, I'm sure you're aware that the car buying process is extremely stressful. The team at Atlantic Audi made my experience pleasant. My only critique is that my final sales price for one of the warranties was changed upwards of a $150 after I removed another warranty that I deemed unnecessary. The $150 didn't break the sale, however, the price was added without speaking to me first. I only became aware of the change when I sat down to finalized my contracts. The amount of time it would have taken to renegotiate and draw up the paperwork again was not worth the amount that they added. Transparency is paramount. Notwithstanding, Atlantic Audi was professional, patient, and attentive. These characteristics, in addition to a great product, made them stand above their competitors. Dealing with this dealership I must say is the worst customer experience I've ever had to deal with. I see why they only have two stars from the previous person who left a comment. The sales representative and the manager Ray, they give Audi A Bad Name and Audi should not be associated with this dealership at all. 1. Lack of communication with customers. They have my car going into 3 weeks now I have to call for updates on the status of the car parts and when my car will be ready I am still waiting. 2. Poor maintenance on their vehicle that they give me as loaner. I currently own an A8. They loan me an A3.. it did not have any windshield fluid in the tank it required an oil change the car only have eight thousand miles. OK so I am leaving 2 stars for Atlantic Audi, pending on how they handle my problem. I got my first Audi lease from a different dealership that was wonderful in 2016. When the lease was nearly up, I went to Atlantic (March 2019)because they had the vehicle I wanted. My husband and I went on a Saturday to look at the vehicle, and wound up doing our trade in and taking home the new vehicle that day. The salesman told me they would absorb the small remaining payments (under 2 months). So whatever payments I made that day, I believed settled any remaining obligation to the 2016 vehicle. Fast forward 6 months later, and I have a bill from from Volkwagen/Audi Financial saying I have a balance of $568 going into collections. I called the dealership several times. First I was told speak to Financial Manager. He told me he didn't negotiate the deal so I need to speak to the Sales Manager. Of course the SM was off that day. I finally reached him and he now needs "to look into my files" because the salesman no longer works there, and he has to see what the agreement stated. Audi Financial said it's usually an oral agreement, and that when a dealer says they will absorb the cost, GET IT IN WRITING (lesson learned!). I did manage to get Audi to reduce the settlement cost by $200, which is great. As far as I am concerned, I negotiated for the dealership because I don't believe it's my obligation to pay. Who knows, maybe they do that intentionally until the balance is reduced? I don't know for sure. I do know I have NEVER been late on a car payment, and don't want to pay this bill out of principle. Note to readers: Always scrutinize your agreement before signing on the dotted line. I am still waiting for this to be resolved, I HOPE they do the right thing! ****UPDATE 10/31/19- I was hoping the matter would be resolved and I could change the rating to a higher score. But it turns out my suspicions were correct. The sales manager stalled me because as it turns out, the dealership closed a few days later! Totally screwed by the dealership. I'm writing a review because my close friend is shy probably the reason they got her for 7grand My friend purchased an Audi from these people and she had it for about 2 months the tires went out ok she fixed it. At 5 months the car wouldn't start (electrical problem ) when she got the car towed directly to Audi they told her the electrical problem was because someone fix/touch it ( My friend doesn't know anything about cars to take it anywhere else then where she bought it ) they fixed it for 3,800$. 2 weeks later the same problem ((I thought they fixed the problem that they supposedly had nothing to do with )) now they want her to pay another 3800 to fix it again. I called Audi to schedule the 85,000 mile service for my A4. When speaking to the service the department, I asked how much the 85,000mi service would cost. I was told that it would cost $285 and would take 1hr-1hr 15min to complete. When I arrived at Audi, I was told that the cost for the 85,000mi service was actually $360 and would take 2 hrs. This is completely unacceptable to lure clients in with a false quote! Not only did they lie to me about the cost and duration of service but after the car was serviced, it took them an additional 20-30min to "wash" my car. When I got my car back it looked like it had not been washed at all, dirt all over the hood and top of the car and dried water streaks everywhere. Poor business model and service. read more

We found an Audi through carguru which was for sale at Atlantic Audi. The car was on carguru for 107 days. My wife started a chat and was told the car was available and to come to the dealer as they had room off the online price and had other promotions as well When we got to the dealership on saturday 5/18/19 the car was still available and my wife test drove and liked it. Our salesperson, Anna, told us Atlantic Audi had the car for 2 days (vs the 107 on carguru) to come into the office and she'd price the car for us. The "price" Anna came up with was over $2500 higher than the carguru price! My wife told her the price online was much less and the person she chatted with said there were other promotions too Anna said she'd go talk to the manager. But we need to bring a printout of the online price even though the same carguru price was on Atlantic Audi's own website ! The manager came and sat with us and gave some bs excuse that the carguru site isnt run by Atlantic Audi but by some third party marketing company. He increased the carguru price by almost $900! And asked if we had a deal? Atlantic Audi is a bad dealer and has very poor moral standards. I will never buy a car from them. HEY ATLANTIC AUDI!!! How about that $1,400 check "that's in the mail."?? It's been "in the mail" over 2 months now. Oh no!! I hope you mailed it in those blue boxes generally on the corners of street blocks with BIG letters written USPS on it, and not the clothing bins boxes for your local church. Those are also square shaped and provide a slot to send items down. I can see how the STAFF AT ATLANTIC AUDI could over look such a simple task. Alright so the crap I have been dealing with, Atlantic Audi west islip New York. Begin the whole buying process on January 12, 2019. Found the car I wanted and called and put a $500 deposit and had a $9500 wire sent to them for the down deposit on the car. I have numbered the conversation with the salesperson to make things easier to explain and show the process. I was never informed that the title would take over two weeks to receive from NYS. To my understanding I could finish the paper work and have the car shipped out early the next week. I asked for an update on that money (text message 1) and was told they were just wanting on the title from NYS, every other car purchase that I have done this has only taken a few hours to do. I texted back a few days later on Thursday the 17th and was told that they had the electronic release then and was told it would only be a matter of days. Messaged back on Saturday (message 3) and was told there was not any update and it would be mid next week. I am Frustrated at this because it has been over a week since I have wired the money and credit card hold. The car should have never been offered for sale until they had the title in hand. And the week delay has me pretty angry, as you can see in text message four. I messaged back the following Wednesday and Thursday and still no update. I messaged at 10:38 am on Friday telling them to refund me my $9500 wire and $500 credit card hold. The sales person said this would be taken care of. Which was not because I messaged back at 3:51 asking if it had been sent yet that my account has not been credited. I then got a phone call by the Supposed sales manager that ask what he could do and I repeatedly told him to refund me my money. He said he would take care of it and I would see it by the end of the day. Nothing showed up so I called on Saturday and spoke with Vinny Licata (sales manager )which gave me his word that it would be sent on Monday morning and I would have it by 11am. I called at 1pm because it was not in my account and got an excuse that he was busy and he had sent someone to the bank at 1230 to send it. Which I find out later was a lie. Fast forward to 6 pm Monday where I called and ask where the money was. This time I spoke with Rich Healy and he told me that the person that send the wire was out sick on Monday and he would find something on Tuesday. He called me on Tuesday saying that they could not wire the money and if they could send a check. I said that was find. They were awaiting a second signature for the check and would over night it( or so he says. Got home from work at 530pm tonight and guess what no check. Called the dealership and got told he was on the phone and he would call me back. Which he didn't , so I called back an hour later and talked with him finally. Said that it was sent today and he would have an update for me tomorrow on how they sent it. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with Atlantic Audi. They will not communicate effectively with you and will jerk you around. read more

Atlantic Audi is by far the worst car experience I have ever had- not only amongst Audi dealerships but also other luxury car brands. This place gives Audi a bad name for several reasons - professionalism, integrity and competence. Take your business to another Audi or another luxury brand. In terms of professionalism, when we first walked in they immediately told us that they did not have any A3 cabriolets available (even though the online inventory noted otherwise). They then proceeded to engage in a protracted negotiation process which ended in a tentative deal for an A5. We agreed to place a deposit and my credit card information was scanned back to me through an insecure fax machine line- in clear violation of any kind of data security PCI compliance policies (especially troublesome in today's age of security violations). I had to ask 4 times for any receipt to be sent, at which point they told me that they did not actually charge the deposit and did not need the deposit to reserve the car (which begs the question of why they needed to collect my billing information in the first place). Later, I was told I could finalize my paperwork the following weekend, but was texted the day before that the manager (who is apparently the only person in the multi-manager office who can authorize a sale) establishment wouldn't be there. I emphasized that I had incredibly limited availability over the next few weeks to finalize the deal and would appreciate if they could accommodate my availability. They told me that he was the only person who could finalize a deal and he wouldn't be there that day. When I called the next day to check-in- I was told that he actually was there. I was blatantly lied to. When I tried to get in touch with them, I was repeatedly told that they weren't available. My experience has been awful- perhaps because I am a woman. Car dealerships don't have typically have a great reputation, but one would assume that at a luxury dealership like Audi you would get a bit more integrity if not service. People go to Audi as a brand for excellence but I might as well have been at a used junk car dealership. Take your time, money and patience elsewhere. You'll walk away empty handed at Atlantic Audi (and with a much worse day). read more

This is my second Audi purchased at Atlantic Audi. The decision was partly due to the great sales price I was given on my Audi S4 as well as the outstanding dealer service department. The moment you walk into the service department, you are treated as a valued client. My service representative did a great job of explaining the scheduled service needed and provided me an accurate time frame for the service to be completed. The service was indeed completed within the promised time frame. I highly recommend Atlantic Audi. The absolute worst experience with buying a car! I got the run around for weeks here. The only reason I stayed around was because I put a down payment down. Took them 3 weeks for them to finally deliver the car to me. Salesman never available for a phone call. No communication from management. At the end of the lease I returned the car and went to Mercedes where my new car was delivered on just a few days. I didn't order anything special from Audi. All round terrible experience. When I bring the car in for service my car is supposed to be cleaned before it's returned. Well that never happened. I had to complain to management and they gave me a gift card to a car wash. I had called Atlantic Audi expecting them to give me a lease price over the phone but they weren't willing to do that, so I decided to go with another dealer. I have to give Emma credit because she kept following up with me and wanted to know why they had lost my business. She continued to follow-up even after I told her I had signed papers at another dealership and made me feel like they really wanted my business! Their price was so competitive that I was very skeptical, but once I got to the dealership they honored the price that they had quoted me and the sales process was very low-key and pleasant. I hate having to negotiate with car dealers but Cato Thomas (salesperson) was a pleasure and I would definitely use him and Atlantic Audi again and I would recommend this dealership to others. read more

What an experience.... I normally buy a car every two years but the financial management team at this dealer are the reason I'm sticking with BMW for now and going to have my car a few years longer. The salesman I worked with was Ammar, and he was great. Very professional and knowledgeable. Very down to earth. That's really all I have to say about him. If he worked elsewhere I'd buy from him again. Its after Ammar that things went bad. First, I arranged pricing of an Audi at this dealer and they are three hours (one way) away from me. I drive very high mileage (about 25k miles a year) so I buy cars frequently. I arranged the price and had agreed to try audi financing to see if they could match or beat USAA in terms and rate. I made it clear that I would be trading in my 2007 BMW 328xi with 95k miles, but still under warranty, and I disclosed its defects (scratches on driver door). Upon arriving I test drove the car with Ammar and then started the games. I was put in the waiting room for the financial team. That took a solid hour. I was in there FOREVER. Then, they offered me an interest rate 2% or more over the terms USAA offered so I declined.... Liz went back to talk to her manager, interest rate was lowered, etc. This kept happening. Liz was playing ball, as much as I hate it and offered me the biweekly payments, although I suspect they were actually bi-monthly (big difference), but her manager got upset and came in when I simply said I was going with USAA for financing and that was that. Then I was told that the price I had was only if I used AUDI financing, which it wasn't. Ammar had agreed to honor the price otherwise. They refused to do that until I forwarded them an email showing proof. They almost came close, but 2.5 hours later I was still in the dealer. I found myself arguing with the financial manager. He was yelling at me about taking Audi financing, because it would "only" cost me $300-$500 extra over the life of the loan and that was "peanuts". He then reiterated several times that the car I was currently driving was "a disaster" and how he was going to lose $500 on the deal. Anyone who has ever bought a car knows that dealers arent selling cars to lose money, they sell cars to make money. They never lose any money on a deal. The cost to fix the scratches would have been minimal with their in house team or they'd probably just flip the car immediately like BMW did with my Ford. I remained calm but had trouble with that because two young gents on the sales floor were staring in through the glass because of the volume of the finance manager as he was arguing for me to spend more money because my vehicle was a disaster. Once I explained the concept of accrual of interest on biweekly vs monthly payments (like how you actually end up paying about two payments less if its true bi-weekly, and you save hundreds in interest, even if the rate is the same), he argued that his calculator was broken and not working and sent someone to go get a new one. You cant beat basic math and 7th grade finance. Lower interest rate + biweekly payments = huge savings. Arguing that my vehicle was a disaster, yelling at me, and telling me how me LOSING $300-$500 was "peanuts" and I shouldn't be worried about it = losing a sale. I got up to walk out twice and they relented. I should have legitimately walked out earlier. I asked what incentive they could offer me to take Audi financing, off set the interest I would pay with lowering the $750 in various fees, upping my trade in value, etc and I was stonewalled. He argued the fees were never negotiable, except there was a gigantic asterisk by them that said they were negotiable, and reiterated the argument that I was driving garbage. Eventually he gave me "permission" to use USAA financing. Then when it came time to pay, I told them I would be writing a check for an extra $1000 to put down (just to lower principal) and the rest would be on the loan. The loan is the standard check from a bank. It has dealer instructions, they fill them out, fax, call, scan, email etc it in to the bank and they get paid. I never had a problem with using USAA when I bought my Ford, Mercedes or BMW The finance manager told me if I was using USAA financing that I would have to leave my car there and I would not be driving the Audi because they wouldn't have the money instantly and there's no proof that the funds would clear from USAA....yes, USAA the bank that serves the military community, is large enough to advertise during the superbowl and has one of the highest customer satisfaction rates possible. They said If I used Audi financial that I could drive the car today. At that point I just left. This is the behavior you expect from a shady used car dealer in a rural town with "buy here pay here" financing. Not a luxury car dealer. I have 12 years of military service both as enlisted and as an officer so I know the difference betweent professionalism and bad treatment. read more

Well let me start of by saying , my sales rep Michael was amazing with assisting me on buying my used Audi. The management at this location suck, and they will rip you off using terminology that they know normal consumers will not understand. My sale began with Michael doing his best to work numbers that could fit within my budget. I then said I wanted to get my trade in vehicle for 23,000$ and I wanted the sticker tag of the used Audi to go from 37k to 35k which he said he will find out, then he went into the room with his managers that do not know customer service for the life of them. They came back with a monthly payment that was reasonable for me so I said okay, but when I came back to sign paperwork it was all messed up . It went up by a few hundred dollars for the monthly payment and they said it was based on credit, if that were the case why did you predict payments before hand? In the end i found out they lowballed my trade in to 19,000 even though we agreed on other figures and the car was sold more than it was advertised for online, but it doesn't stop there.. they made me drive from queens to Long Island numerous times because the car could not pass inspection immediately.. they had to drive the car 100 miles before it could pass, that alone should've dropped the price for me.. you think I'm happy someone went joy riding in my new purchase?. If it isn't ready for sale do not post it. Also the finance manager kept hiding from me every time I asked him about the interest rate and monthly payment until I caught him and he told me a bogus payment amount, to which it was way off when it came down to paperwork. When I went back to try to get it resolved there was a young boy that was called the assistant manager that was very arrogant, you could tell that's the reason he stayed in the back, if you don't like the work you do then quit. The dealership's sales department management sucks, and Audi corporate needs to come down and see what's going on over here. Horrible experience at this dealership!! I should have left after I waited 4 hours when I made an appointment. The plan was to purchase a "brand new" 2017 Audi that I put a deposit on the week before. I put quotation marks because when I got home I realized this new car had over 800 miles on it where my finance agreement said it has less than 50. I was able to return the car but the damage was done. I've never felt so disgusted after going through the car buying process. Do not shop at this Audi. Go to Smithtown! I want to start off by saying that I absolutely love driving my Audi Q5. But I will no longer be an Audi customer due to my experience at Atlantic Audi. There sales reps don't even know the ABC's of the sales process and lack the basic principles starting with The customer experience. Phil obviously didn't know the difference between premium and premium plus package or maybe didn't care about doing the research on the car before selling it to me. I was upgrading from my 2014 to a 2016. When I got the car it had none of the features promised and worst than my 2014 and had over 6000 miles on it which was not disclosed at point of sale. I will say that the sales manager rashawn tried hard to fix the issue but his general manager clearly didn't care about keeping a customer and fixing the mistakes of his poor sales staff. I came to get my car serviced this morning. Not only was the service dept quick and accommodating but I wound up getting greated by a nice sales associate named Cesar. He quickly but thoroughly gave me some information and was able to get me out of my current lease and into a new lease for the same payment! Thanks Atlantic Audi!!! This has to be the worst place I have ever been to. The gentleman I was working with named Edward lumer was a horrible horrible salesperson. Wasn't interested and was very unenthusiastic about his job and dealing with customers. He Didn't describe anything about the car I wanted, no description whatsoever. It sounded like he didn't know anything! I had to ask as many questions as possible just to know what's going on. All in all he probably asked me about 5-8 questions. Most of the time he looked at me like I was dumb and didn't know what I was talking about. He basically was judging without saying anything. Again, this is the worst service I've ever had. I personally wouldn't recommend anyone going here.. Atleast not to him. He basically told me off and told me to go somewhere else to buy a car indirectly. Hundred percent thumbs down. read more

Incompetent. Easy purchase but everything beyond that is so difficult to accomplish. No one ever calls back, can't get in touch with any managers. Shitty customer service. Tried making my first payment (which they said would be sent in the mail within 45 days) never received ANYTHING! Had to call my bank myself to find out that my payment is OVERDUE and was put into collections. Mind you I was trying to hunt down a manager two weeks prior to get my payment in. Listen to the other reviews, my first mistake was ignoring them. Don't shop here if you don't have to, take your business to a different Audi. read more

Just an update to my last review...my wife had a nail in her tire, which we have the wheel & tire package. She went direct to the service department and they advised that they would have to order the tire and that it would be ready the next day. This was understandable because the tire is a 21" tire for the SQ5 which isn't the standard size on an already low volume suv. They offered alternate means as well to accommodate. If I could give 0 stars I would!!!!! I am very upset with Atlantic Audi in West Islip,NY. I have bought multiple cars from there and after my last experience I have to say I will NEVER go back. I brought my 2012 Audi A5 in because the oil light came on. When I picked it up On a Wednesday night they told me they were running an oil consupmtiom test and to bring it back when the oil light comes back on so that they can do the second part of the test. Well I drive the car for one day and then my car refused to start and I had to have it towed to Atlantic Audi after only 1 day! The service department at Atlantic Audi said originally they weren't sure what was wrong with my car but it had nothing to do with the oil which they were working on only one day before. I found this very odd because I never had a problem with my car before. I kept calling Audi and would never receive a call back! Finally after a month the service manager Mo Kahn decided to tell me that it was the timing chain and that Audi would not cover it because they don't have records of me getting oil changes at Atlantic Audi. He told me it would be at least $5,000 to fix and couldn't guarantee that it would fix the problem. I ended up having to purchase a new Audi from them because I literally had no choice since I needed a car and my car that wasn't working was there now for over a month. I told Mo the service manager I was very unhappy with Audi and that I was aware that there was a class action lawsuit for oil compilation and he refused to do anything except claim to give me a deal on a new car which I didn't want! I loved Audi but after this I do not think I will ever purchase another one especially from Atlantic! read more

I started negotiating over the phone for a new 2016 A6. The sales person was scattered and I felt as though he was not interested in speaking with me or selling me a car. There was a car for sale on their website and he told me it was available and on the lot. I told him I was interested and wanted the AutoCheck on it and a trade-in number so I could move forward. He emailed me the Autocheck. He said he would get back to me as soon as he got a number from the manger. That was over 2 days ago. I had to leave him two voicemails (one supposedly taken by the secretary to pass along and an email.) I called and spoke with the secretary and she said she would put me on hold and find out what was happening. I was on hold for 8 minutes until I finally hung up. And he still didn't call me back. He never got back to me until I called and complained. I emailed the internet sales associate and when she got back to me she had to transfer to the manager. My sales person had dropped the ball and the cars I was negotiating for were sold yesterday according to the manager. This is not the way Audi should be doing business. I was told at the time of my initial car contact that the cars were on the lot and AVAILABLE. They never offered to take a deposit or help me move the deal forward. When they sold the cards, they didn't have the decency to call me back and let me know that I was wasting my time. The sales person at this dealership I dealt with was amateur at best and should not be selling cars. Zero customer service. Audi dealerships are a dime a dozen. Shouldn't a luxury car dealer run a better business? read more

Worst place ever!! I don't know how these people sleep at night, they did not pick up on a serious engine problem even though I brought it there countless times. Now the warranty has expired and they basically said too bad, not our problem. Do not trust these people with your car!! read more
