    BUYER BEWARE OF GARY CALIXTE My wife and I came to the dealership with the intention of buying a car. We first met with Gary late February and had our eyes on a Hyundai ELANTRA. Last Thursday we put money down on the car and we're excited to pick up the car on Friday. Friday came and Gary told us he hast to change the cost of the car and raise the cost from the 15k that we signed for to 20k based on supply and demand. He said we would be stupid not to buy that car. Gary has proven to be Sleezy and inattentive to all questions. When we asked if we could scan the car with an OBD scanner he immediately said absolutely not there's nothing wrong with the car just buy it and go. During our test drive I had a question about the car and he was watching family guy on his phone in the backseat and couldn't be bothered. I asked him several questions and he gave me the same answer: "it doesn't make just buy the car." Shame on you Hyundai for employing this man who has no interpersonal experience and builds no credibility whatsoever with his clients and is only concerned with making a sale. This man is a disgrace to the company and yet after the supervisors hear what happened you keep him employed. Shame on you. I came to the dealership today to get my refund. Gary saw me and said wait here "I have a sale with clients more important" I put my timer on and while he was out for 20+ minutes I met with Peter and Troy for my refund. If I dealt with these managers from the start I would've had a car from Hyundai. BUYER BEWARE GARY CALIXTE IS A FRAUD A LIAR AND WILL WASTE YOUR TIME.

It seems this dealership is living off its reputation from years ago; while the older positive reviews might have been true once, the recent negative feedback is 100% accurate to what I experienced. This was, without question, the worst car shopping experience I've ever had. Here is why: Arrogant Staff: The employees were dismissive and condescending. I have never felt so uncomfortable and disrespected by a place trying to earn my business. The IT Glitch" Excuse: They use low advertised prices to get people in the door on busy weekends, then claim they can't honor the price because of an "IT mistake." I was shocked to see other recent reviews mentioning the exact same excuse--it's clearly a calculated tactic, not a technical error. Pricing Games: Unlike every other modern dealer who will discuss pricing over the phone or provide a straightforward quote, this place hides the "actual" price behind layers of BS and extra fees. We ended up taking our business elsewhere and had a much faster, more honest experience. Save yourself the headache and the "extra" pricing--don't waste your afternoon here.

The prices are reasonable and the sales and finance team are extremely attentive. I had an excellent buying experience. If you are looking for an excellent salesperson with extensive knowledge on the product you are making a significant investment in, I suggest working with Anna J. If you've ever purchased a vehicle, I'm sure you're aware that the car buying process is extremely stressful. The team at Atlantic Audi made my experience pleasant. My only critique is that my final sales price for one of the warranties was changed upwards of a $150 after I removed another warranty that I deemed unnecessary. The $150 didn't break the sale, however, the price was added without speaking to me first. I only became aware of the change when I sat down to finalized my contracts. The amount of time it would have taken to renegotiate and draw up the paperwork again was not worth the amount that they added. Transparency is paramount. Notwithstanding, Atlantic Audi was professional, patient, and attentive. These characteristics, in addition to a great product, made them stand above their competitors. Our salesman Paul was helpful and straightforward with us. He and one of the managers did everything they could to get us to take the car home that day, which wasn't entirely a bad thing. However the stress began when it came time to sign papers. It was the end of the day and everyone was ready to go home, including us. We wanted to take our time and thoroughly review all of the paperwork. The numbers weren't making sense to us or adding up. Finally they claimed they must've made a mistake and "accidentally" entered a fee twice. This fee was around $2,000 so that was quite a mistake! This seemed very shady so we were ready to walk away, but in the end we decided to go through with it since it seemed like everything worked out in our favor. In conclusion, we did experience some unnecessary stress and they may or may not have been trying to pull a fast one on us, but we love the car and liked the salesman we dealt with.

He had an elderly gentleman with him who was hard of hearing. Peter was so kind and sympathetic and extremely accommodating with this man. I knew I was in good hands. I sat with Peter and told him my lease was almost up and my price point. He went right to work showing me my options. I decided on the Chevy Trax, but didnt know what features I wanted and what would fit into my price range. Peter showed me EVERY option available without making me feel like I was taking up too much of his time. I could tell he wanted to make sure I was happy with what I decided on. I not only decided on a BEAUTIFUL Chevy Trax Activ, but I got a price that I couldnt believe! I was able to pick the car up the next day. Having previously been in the automotive industry (service) for 18 years, I am more than familiar with the "salesman pitch" that you would normally get. With Peter there was no salesman persona, no spiel, no pitch, and I was more than grateful for that. That is an instant turn-off. Upon completing all the paperwork the following day, Peter showed me every feature of my new Trax and how to use them. He set up the app for my phone and made sure I knew how to use everything. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will recommend Arnold Chevrolet again and again. I am now a proud member of the Arnold family.     Very disappointed! Do not trust these guys to do what you pay them to do. Brought my Silverado in…read morefor their advertised oil change and tire rotation special. When they finished, I paid and went outside to drive my truck away and noticed that they did not rotate tires. Went back inside to tell the service writer. He went to get technician. He came back with the technician and told me that he "didn't do the rotation because the better tires were on the rear" of the 15,704 mile truck. A nonsense excuse! That's all the more reason to rotate the tires! It is just plain lazy and dishonest! None of this was discussed with me until I came back in to complain. This is the second Chevy Dealer on Long Island that I had this exact problem with on two separate vehicles in less than a year. After having the problem before, I discreetly mark my wheels before bringing my vehicles in for service. That's good practice to make sure the dealer service department is doing what they are charging you for. I highly recommend that anyone bringing their vehicle in for this service do the same.
