I was randomly connected to her by phone call to her workplace at Service Electric Campbell Drive location in Wilkes-Barre, yesterday. She has a pleasant talking voice. My informed decision to switch from Frontier to Service Electric (SECTV) is thanks to Marilyn's knowledgeable communication skills. She offered me full explanations of download speeds ranging from 50 Mbps to 2,000 Mbps. This employee deserves to be recognized not only by me, but by her Supervisor at Service Electric, for the friendly-service she provides customers. SHE CARES!

He told me to come right down and in about 80-90 minutes I was on my way home with all of my apps transferred and a new IPhone. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. A few days later I went back to Mike because I couldn't hear texts coming in from only one of my contacts, Mike looked at my contacts and immediately showed me what was wrong and also how to fix it if it ever happened again. . It didn't take more that a couple of minutes to fix. I highly recommend this Verizon store and especially Mike. I hope his superiors get to read this so that they are aware of his excellent customer skills.

Not even 5 minutes later, I tried to purchase it at a competing company and I found it was immediately registered at Network Solutions. Furious, I searched the FAQs on the NS site and found that they feel they're doing customers a favor by holding the domain name for 4 days. Well, 4 days has passed and the name is still registered with Network Solutions. Advice: NEVER search for domain name availability with Network Solutions!!

They service two domains for me but after spending 3 hours on the phone today, for the second time recently, I've had it. Here's how they work it. They change things at the server level without informing the customer. Suddenly you don't receive your e-mail and when you call for service they try to funnel you into a special department you have to pay for (around $200 a year). After threats they gave me "a break" by fixing what they broke for free (just this time!). They did this twice because I do have a good intimidating voice that I reserve for such cr*p. When they were located in Drums, Pennsylvania, they never tried this kind of criminal activity but they were bought out by an off-shore company and have become a mere-cash cow. I have an image of a basement with a few technical people with an overburden of tools that are trained to just go for the Benjamin's. Sorry to see the dismemberment of a good American company.

Second, when I asked how to enroll in autopay for my service, the representative told me to call 888-866-6924. This number is worthless because it would not let me do anything unless I entered an employee number, which I do not have because I am not an employee. Needless to say, because (800) 880-1077 also is worthless, I was unable to call back to get the correct number. I was eventually able to enroll in autopay online. WARNING: The advertised autopay discount is not available unless you use a Verizon VISA card or your bank account. Verizon itself is absolutely worthless and unreliable (1 star). I got the 5G because my DSL has gone out 3 or more times in the past year and, in one case, I had to deal with the BBB and consumer protection agencies to get a junk fee removed from my bill. This was for a technician visit to my home that found no problems with my inside wiring, but for which I was charged anyway. My phone service just went out today. Verizon is very good at taking my money every month, and recently raising its prices, but not so diligent about making sure the services for which I am paying actually work.

Without any notification they added $20 to my bill because I also have home internet billed to my cell phone account and was enjoying a second $10 credit for using autopay. Soooo I asked them to mail me my bill and I will mail them a check and we can make them work a bit for their money... but more than likely just going to ditch them for a less expensive company. That 3% credit card fee might have been better absorbed than the backlash from this stunt.
