I worked with the sales manager (owners son) named Dean at Atlantic County Harley Davidson. He was kind enough to give me his cell # as we were discussing the trade in value of my 2017 Street Glide Special and I texted him several pictures so he could give me an idea of the value. We exchanged several texts and phone conversations. The price was right, and Dean was a pleasure to work with, so I traveled all the way from my home in Montgomery County, PA to Atlantic County, New Jersey to make this deal. I purchased a 2024 road glide from Atlantic Harley Davidson in August 2024. One of the upgrades I paid for and received was the adversary package. This included heated handgrips. The bike looks and rides amazing. I am very happy with the bike. Actually, I am thrilled with it. Unfortunately, the handgrips were inoperable. Yes, I know the bike must be turned on for them to operate. I texted Dean (9-23-2024 at 6:00pm) regarding this concern and two days later (9-25-2024 at 10:55am) he texted me back to call the dealership and speak to service. I did so and spoke to "John" at their service dept. John said if I could bring the bike back to them and they would figure out the problem. I asked if it was as simple as flashing the bike so the handgrips worked. He said possible but he was not sure. I told him bringing the bike to Atlantic County Harley Davidson would not be likely as I live in another state. It was a pleasant conversation and I was appreciative of his time. I figured I would get the handgrips addressed when I had the 1000 mile service. I called Freedom Valley Harley Davidson, Stars and Stripes Harley Davidson and Barbs Harley Davidson. All three dealerships gave me a price for my 1000 mile service and all 3 reported that flashing the bike to make the heated handgrips operate would incur an additional half hour charge for that service. This is exactly what I did on 10-8-2024 as I took the bike to Freedom Valley Harley Davidson in Sellersville, PA. They were 1 of these 3 dealerships closest to my house. The cost for flashing the bike to correct the problem was $69.50 (for a half hour of service time). On Tuesday October 22nd, 2024 at 5:18pm I texted a copy of the invoice to Dean from Atlantic County Harley Davidson informing him that I would appreciate it if I could be reimbursed for the additional fee. I never received a response from Dean. Four days later on Saturday October 26th, 2024 at 2:50pm, I sent another text to Dean stating I was just following up and would like to know how he would like to handle this. Two days later (10-28-2024) I still have not heard back from Dean so I called the dealership (Atlantic County Harley Davidson), got connected to the service dept and once again was speaking to "John" about this matter. I brought him up to speed and told him I did not think it was unreasonable to ask if they would reimburse me for the cost. He said this decision is not his to make and asked if I could hold. Within 40 seconds John returned to our call and said "NO". Unsure of exactly what that meant I asked him to clarify. He said they will not reimburse me for this fee. I asked who he spoke to as I was curious to know who the decision maker was. He said his manager. I asked for the name of his manager that he just spoke to. He gave me the first names of 4 managers at the dealership. Once again, I asked for the name of the specific manager he spoke to and he gave me the first names of 4 managers at his dealership. I asked him if he was refusing to let me speak to the specific manager that made this decision and he refused to tell me which one and now informed me that he was getting busy and asked me if there was anything else I needed. I asked him why he refused to tell me which manager and his response was, "thanks for calling, have a nice day" shortly followed by him hanging up the phone. I leave you with this, I had a great experience at Atlantic County Harley Davidson with this exception. How a business could make the decision to allow this relationship to end on such a sour note is something that completely escapes me. Now I find myself putting energy into this because of the irresponsible manner in which they (John in their service dept) handled this. In addition, I have made several attempts to defuse this matter before making the choice to post this review. All were ignored. Very good people to chat with in all departments as for getting straight info. In trying to trade up to 2024, my 23 RG lost almost 10k of the purchase price over the last 4 months. Note. my bike has less than 100 miles on it. No negotiating a deal for a new scoot, so no deal happened. Picked the Bike up after a simple clutch cable replacement and brake line flush, I supplied the cable and it still was WAY EXPENSIVE. They said that I needed a new battery, the bike wouldn't start and it wouldn't go into 1st gear. I told them jump it. (When I got home I also found a print out of the battery test they ran which read GOOD.) I left the dealership and shifted up into 5th gear, then discovered at the first traffic found that it would not shift down to any lower gear. Eased it home and found the shift lever from the tranny was loose. Tightened it and readjusted the linkage and it shifts fine. Front brake was mushy, took it to another shop and he said it looked like they put in DOT 3 instead of the required DOT4. He flushed and refilled, changing the beat up bleeder valve. They charged almost $500 for the shoddy work they did, and tried to up sell me on a new tire and a battery. I Won't make the same mistake again. I am not a fan of their service department. I brought my bike here after making an appointment over the phone for it's first service. When I brought it in for the appointment, the staff insinuated that I was crazy for choosing to wait on the service instead of just dropping it off. While making the appointment over the phone, their rep did not give me the choice to drop off or wait, nor recommend one or the other, the shop is also over 45 minutes (one way) from my home. After waiting an extended period of time (considering I had an appointment) the service was complete and I paid, I was only given a receipt for the payment vs a written break down of what was completed, checked and possibly recommended. I received very little verbal feedback. My media compartment needed repaired, they did not offer to repair it, only mentioned that it was broken. Shortly after my service appointment I noticed my brakes were squeaking. I made another appointment, later in the afternoon this time to hopefully avoid the wait I experienced last time. The staff member who normally does this service had already left for the day. another rep looked at my bike, cleaned off the brakes and then stated that they would not be doing it again for free because I didn't have my bike in a garage year round. My bike is about a year old, well within warranty and is put up in storage about 9 months of the year (for the wetter and colder months here in Jersey). I also use a bike cover purchased from their dealership (supposedly for outside use) when my bike is outdoors during the summer months. If they had done the proper inspection during my first service then they would have noticed the issue that caused the squeakiness in brakes, I am unsure if they did do a proper service, or if they just chose not to correct it at that time. Either way, my warranty does not state that it is null and void if I do not have a garage and I am incredibly disappointment at the customer service (and possibly service) I received at this dealership. read more

My experience is they are talkers, not listeners. It all started with a rude person on the phone, which should have been my red flag, but I figured we would just go in and talk. The sales department man that I dealt with was very cocky and seemed to not be concerned for customer service at all. He muttered alot with another man, and left us sitting alot. It sorta gave us an uneasy feeling, as if they were trying to overcharge us, or make us look like idiots. Was a big waste of our time and we left without them making a sale. We actually went to another dealer and they were falling over each other to be kind and accommodating. We actually saved money!! I was travelling back from Florida on my 1999 Custom Wide Glide, on a Sunday, when I had problems with my rear brake caliper. I knew of this dealership close to Atlantic City where I go to play Blackjack at the Harrah's. Due to the fact that most service departments are closed I needed to get my bike fixed, I booked a room Sunday night and would visit them in the morning. I call Monday morning and spoke with a gentlemen in the service dept. He said bring the bike down and he would do his absolute best to get me back on the road to continue on to Long Island NY. Bryan Petrovic was the person on the phone and greeted me when I arrived to discuss the problem. Bryan the Service Manager took my bike right in and assigned the job to a friendly bike mechanic Derek to rebuild my rear master cylinder. Both men did a great service to me and I am very appreciative to the professionalism and understanding to my situation. The bike was repaired and I was on my way in under 2 hours. The entire place was clean, organized and well staffed from the sales floor to the museum of old school bikes, as well as the motor cloths dept. Where I met Mickey and Karen who were wonderful to speak with and help me in that area of the store. I would highly recommend visiting the store when you are in the Atlantic City area, shop for gifts or that tee shirt, or for service work on your bike or talk about the purchase of a new or used Model. read more

I have been a customer of AC Harley since 2009 for parts, service and clothing and have always received exceptional service and attention. I am in the middle of a blizzard (1/23/2016), never wrote a review on Yelp in my life and was so inspired now at 4AM, I have to mention the great people there. With impending flooding that would have definitely mangled my 2009 FLHTCU AND 2008 VRod, I tried the impossible at 1:15PM on 1/22/2016 and called Bryan in service to schedule a pickup of both of my bikes for service and installation of some accessories/dyno...uh...ASAP.... If possible... And oh yeah I live in Wildwood, NJ 40 miles away. Instead of hanging up on my or laughing at me he scheduled and pickup for 2:30 PM (AN HOUR AND 15 mins after I called!!). Ben, the owner called me a few mins later to verify my address and shows up at my door early to save my bikes from impending doom!!! Wow!!!!! The owner cares enough to help a dope like me save his bikes at the final hour!!! I don't think many people have best friends who would drive 80 miles before a massive storm to help in that situation. I was lucky that they were available to help me and very grateful they took the time to do so.
