I will start this review by saying I had previously purchased carpet from Carpet Fashion and had a…read moreflawless experience. I had recommended them to several people. When I purchased the carpet and tile, I had paid in FULL because I was confident in there service. I WAS WRONG! I purchased carpet and back splash tile from Carpet Fashion for my new home. My move in was scheduled around when they could deliver the carpet. Had my salesman been honest up front about the time line, I would have been less stressed. I was told the carpet would take 7-10 days to arrive. I was told the carpet was on the way and would be delivered the next day and installed the following day. On the day of the first installation, I got a call that the carpet had been delivered to a flooring store in Georgia. I was not upset as I understood that mistakes happen. I was told the carpet would be delivered the following Tuesday. On that Tuesday, I was told that the carpet arrived and would be installed the next day. The next morning, I get a call that the carpet had NOT arrived and they were not sure where it was. The carpet arrived the next week, and was installed the next day. BUT, remember the carpet supposedly got delivered to the wrong store in Georgia. Well, it was shipped from a supplier in Georgia. I do not believe it was ever delivered to the wrong store. I think it was never ordered. I also bought linear backsplash to be installed by a PROFESSIONAL tile installer. Linear backsplash requires a SKILL to install. When the installer came, he was frustrated that there was demo of an old backsplash. Carpet Fashion charged me for the DEMO so not sure how he did not know. He left his wife and another female to do the Demo. They then sat for 4 hours waiting for him to return. He dropped off drywall that they then very shoddily replaced the drywall they had torn out. The women then began installing the linear tile, however it appeared to me that they did not know what they were doing. I even commented to them that it was crooked. They could not understand English so I used a Google translator. I sent a message to my salesman who literally did nothing about it. The next day, the ladies returned and continued working. After about 3 hours, I told them to stop. It looked like crap. It was wavy and not straight. The "Professional Installer" came and threatened to quit the job. He even offered me money. He said it was "FINE", but he did admit that neither lady had EVER installed tile before let alone backsplash or linear tile. Someone at carpet fashions must have persuaded him to stay. He ended up ripping everything down and re doing it. Now, I can say it looks better but NOT like a Professional did it. To say I am disappointed is a complete understatement. I would never recommend Carpet Fashion to anyone. I would definitely not recommend that installer to anyone. He should NOT be a tile installer and if Carpet Fashion still contracts work to him, they should be completely ashamed of themselves.

Bobby's fabrication was bedazzling, and it was so exciting to see the slab I'd selected turned into a masterpiece. Kevin and Andrew, the installers were talented, and quite honestly, absolutely ADORABLE, taking great pains to make sure that everything was PERFECT. EVERYBODY AIMS TO PLEASE AND SUCCEEDS AT DOING JUST THAT! This is my second project with Shellstone and Tropic Granite, and everyone's contributions and input could not have been more on target. My wife found Melbourne Beach flooring and they did an excellent job of ripping up tile and carpet downstairs and put a beautiful modern tile floor and high baseboards in. Upstairs they replaced the entire floor with a stain resistant (3 small kids!) white patterned carpet. Jim, the owner of Melbourne Flooring personally oversaw the entire project and even worked all day by himself in Sunday because he wanted to give his crew time off, but not lose momentum on the project. They sold us a pull out drawer under the kitchen sink, which could not be used because our plumbing was coming from the floor, which they knew, but still did not want to give me a refund for the unusable pull out. The wrong hood mechanics was originally ordered, when I reached out to her, she ordered another hood kit and charged me 106 more dollars. When it arrived, it was the wrong hood kit also. She will not refund me the money for either hood kit And instead of talking to me about it, she has blocked my phone number. He put together a proposal, which included a detail list of materials, as well as 3D models showing the kitchen at many different views, and pricing was very fair. From there everything went pretty much seamless. Based on his models, I made changes to my original plan and was able to optimize my space. Their installers are top notch. Working around other contractors (this was a whole house remodel), as well as being open to working around our work schedules. I can't say enough about Bob, Robert, Kurt and of course Charlie. These guys know what they are doing, and in my opinion they under promised and over delivered. I could not be happier with my new kitchen, it's gorgeous and more than I had anticipated. After a Coastal rep came out and gave me an estimate, I added on resurfacing of the top of my vanity as well. Everyone from the business was friendly and professional. Will, my technician, was respectful, answered all my many questions, and sought my input when there were choices. His many years of experience in this field were evident in the finished product. The quality of his work exceeded my expectations. It was completed today, so I can't comment on how it will wear over time, but Will asked me to call if I had any issues. I complimented Will on his good work ethic and asked what motivated him. He said that he worked for a really good boss, and didn't want to disappoint him. The owner and office staff were very nice , until I had a problem…read more The person who came to resurface my bathtub did not use any sort of air ventilation during the whole process until the very end they used some sort of contraption for like 20 minutes to ventilate the chemicals outside. My special-needs son was there and my cat was there. They never said anything about you us leaving the house for a while or anything like that. They never gave me any instructions on what to do before, during or after the process and they did not leave any sort of instructions on what to expect. I walked in the door at 8:30pm at night and got blasted with this extreme chemical smell which I had a huge reaction to. I called them the next day and they said oh it should be gone in 24 hours. No it was not gone. I had to open up my whole house go buy some air purifiers and fans and still a week later I had horrible chemical fumes. I had a quality air guy come in and test the air and do an air scrub on it and I also had to go rent an air scrubber machine at Home Depot to try and get the fumes out of my house, now it's two weeks after and I still have the fumes in my house that he says are not toxic in any way , I requested SDS sheets that are required by law and they have yet to get them to me and now they are not responding. If you are sensitive to chemicals in any way, do not get this process done without getting all the chemical information before they do it! Lesson learned with a lot of pain!

They worked great as a team. I guess there was some confusion about the bill. I had assumed that because the company had my card numbers it would had been automatically billed. I received a call from a staff member about payment. He was kind enough to tell me about a percentage increase when using a credit card and explained how I was able to pay the bill using a different method. They sent me a link and payment was made in the same hour. I just wish I was told about this before, It would had saved a lot of confusion. I have many photos of careless work, failure to clean up not only construction debris , but personal items such as cigarettes, lunch containers, water and cola bottles. Also, at the end of everyday there were screws, screening, etc. left in the bottom of the pool. I had asked for a cover for this exact reason-possible rust stains- and was told that the crew is VERY careful and checks everyday. However, nothing such as a shop vac or even a broom was ever brought to the site. My pool person left several pieces of equipment for scooping out the bottom and she changed the filter to run after work hours throughout the night so the workers could see what needed to be taken out on a daily basis. Then there is the final result- obviously, someone from Lafferty measured incorrectly because after 22 years of a straight back cage wall, I now have a slanted one that, in effect, presents an appearance of an uneven slant that is very noticeable. Also, the vertical bars that abutted each side of the raised fountain area are off kilter- one abuts and the other is about 10" off to the right. I will need to have a new pool deck installed; they don't tell you that they will not follow the original vertical locations nor cover them with the new construction. The first inspection failed because there were many areas that needed change to make the cage stronger. A second inspection has not been done. I suppose it's 'looser' in Brevard County than Indian River. HOWEVER, I was emailed today in response to my request to adjust the screen door-huge gaps- that Lafferty will not do anymore work until the final payment is made! A workman told me that Lafferty has been fined several times. I certainly wish I had known that before agreeing to this project, Outwardly, the salesman appears very knowledgeable and promised me that the cage would be the same design but with much better materials. That's what I asked for and the drawings supported that. This company has never understood the concept of trying to make the customer happy. Nor do the owners have much integrity, from what I wrote above to notarizing a document that contained my signature but not in my presence nor with my permission.
