Once they started with the Adapt Health affiliation they have just been awful. I got my cpap in sandwich about 6 years ago and they were great. Now, I call them today because I am having problems with my machine and they said "someone will call you back to make an appointment for you" stugotz. I also told the CR that i read on the site I re-order my supplies from that I am eligible for a machine replacement after 5 years. She told "yes, but we need a letter from your doctor". For what???? You KNOW i am still using it because i fill out the questionnaire before I order my supplies. I dont have a pulmonary dr, my gp referred me for a sleep study direct with Cape Medical. What the hell do i need a note from my doctor for?? to say i still need it??? Or, maybe I decided when I woke up this morning that I had a good scam in mind. Ask for a replacement machine and then what, sell it on the black market??? Wish I had another choice but I think I am stuck with these idiots. Obviously they dont read these reviews, they are horrible.

In mid-July we had a power surge during the night that killed my machine. I made many phone calls to Adapt Health, and just kept getting the runaround. Nobody knew anything about the error code that came up on the screen. I kept getting shuffled to different departments, or being told someone would get back to me, which never happened. After 6 weeks of trying to get them to help me, my doctor switched me to a different supplier, and I had my new machine within a week. DO NOT USE ADAPT HEALTH!!!!

Northshore Home Medical Supply offered a big selection, which was good because I'm a big guy, and she went in to talk to the staff. Joe showed her the options, then said that they also rent chairs, so I could try it at home for 30 or 60 days, or just rent it for the period I needed. After 30 days we knew that we wanted to buy the chair. Their price was better than other companies, and they credited the rental fee to the purchase price, making it a great value. 2 years later there was a problem with the chair, the back collapsed and the remote couldn't bring it up. Calling the manufacturer for what we thought was a 7 year warranty, ends up on certain parts were covered. They couldn't even offer a service call because they don't have a Boston service supplier. I called Northshore and described the issue, they had a service tech out that day to review the problem. He couldn't figure out the fix. Joe came out at 8 pm and within 15 minutes the chair was working like new, at no charge. This is an excellent local company. I would recommend them highly.
