The upstairs hall with a view to the Sea.

Addy Sea offers five star treatment. My husband and I had no reservations (which I don't recommend) but lucked out with a room for two nights. A welcome bottle of wine greeted us as well as the afternoon tea treat. We enjoyed it in our well appointed room with a view (side view) of the ocean. Speaking of which the ocean is literally steps away from the Inn's wrap around porch and provided umbrellas and chairs make a nap on the beach so easy. Bikes are there for the ambitious but we didn't indulge. Breakfast is an elegant, individually served treat and the Addy Sea staff will make a picnic lunch for the beach (or that lovely porch) for a small fee. We felt so well cared for and will definitely be back for a redo. Addy Sea was our big find on this trip and worth every penny.

Being in a customer service industry, I recommend the Addy Sea as a world-class B&B! The service is prompt and on point. The house is clean with no detail left untouched. Maggi, Jason, Tiffany and the rest of their staff are courteous and accommodating. My wife and I had our wedding there this past weekend and left blown away at the level of service and efficiency. The food was delicious and filling. Their staff was extremely polite and busted their tails to keep our guests and family happy. The setting and work behind the scenes by the entire staff and vendors was done professionally. They communicated openly with us and gave great recommendations based on our wants. Our guests and family were astonished by the overall quality and presentation. I know many of our friends will be back to the Addy Sea, and we will, too! From a financial perspective every penny was worth it. Their prices for the entire wedding were much more competitive than what anyone within a 90 mile radius could match. I don't think we could've dreamt a better weekend and stay for our wedding. This isn't a sales pitch, it's the brutally honest truth. Thank you for making our special day something that we'll never forget. We'll see you soon!

A wonderful bed and breakfast for adult couples of every age. Delicious breakfast with excellent banana pancakes and an assortment of teas. Definitely stay in a premium room with a large bed, big bathtub, and a beautiful view!! Off-season offers a quieter, more relaxing stay.

A lovely B&B!! Perfect in every way. The staff was beyond welcoming, the breakfasts were delicious and so filling-beautifully prepared and displayed! Our room was the Captain's Quarters and we loved every beautiful touch and detail. 'Afternoon Tea on the Veranda' was among our favorite memories. A true step backward in time. We love you Addy Sea, and plan to return as soon as possible!

I am not normally a fan of hotel restaurants but this place had exceptional food and great service. It was the best thing we ate in Bethany Beach. The fried whole fish was delicious but the take away stand out dish was the beet salad and the crab soup. Those were must haves. The strawberry cheesecake was also delicious and served Luke even gave us extra whipped cream to serve to our dog. Exceptional serve 5 paws!

The Bethany beach ocean suites (owned by Marriott) are located in the heart of Bethany beach with views of the water. It is a decent place to stay for a few days with a great location. However, the cost of over $600/night is absolutely absurd given the dismal service, lack of cleanliness and general lack of anything resembling luxury. We called before we came and were told the pool was closed. However they noted beach towels were available and beach chairs and umbrellas would be available daily starting at 8am. When we arrived we found no beach towels were available (except for purchase). We clearly own beach towels and would have brought them had we not been misinformed. We were also told upon arrival that the beach chairs aren't available until 10 AM. However I decided to ask the actual chair and umbrella employees who informed me that the start time was actually 9 AM. The front desk didn't seem to care (or note) that they were repeatedly given out false information. With young kids, that hour makes a difference. The lobby bathrooms were poorly maintained (trash on the floors, dirty toilet seats, and no toilet paper to be seen). The breakfast had a vast variety of foods but they were rarely restocked so you weren't able to actually enjoy many of them. Coffee ran out multiple times. Also flies ruled the school at the buffet. The floors were sticky and it is very clear that the hotel is understaffed (oh, and the staff talk to you about it...incessantly) Covid has changed the game for many businesses but unfortunately the Marriott is nowhere near what is should be.

Driving up the long tree‑lined driveway instantly set the tone: quiet, open, and serene. We grabbed a shady spot under the trees, and Crystal came out right away with warm service and great recommendations. Their wine list includes reds, whites, and rosé, and we loved doing a five‑wine tasting to learn about each variety. They also offer a full cocktail menu made with their own craft brandy, plus house‑brewed beer for anyone who prefers hops over grapes. And there is also food. Farm‑to‑table dishes that pair perfectly with whatever is in your glass. Even pups get treated with their own Wine & Wags menu featuring a pup cup (can add berries with a biscuit), a frozen peanut butter cup, and plain chicken. Brie had the best time walking through the vineyard and relaxing in the shade, making this one of the most peaceful dog friendly stops in the area.

It was not clear on the website when making reservations that the menus posted were not for the igloos. Even items we asked about on the menus provided were not available (menu said available until 3 pm in igloo, it was 200 but still told no- yet we also couldn't get the steak or rockfish in the igloo. As well, previous igloo visit options provided fondue for 2 (not 5!) and could be altered for one meat and one seafood eater however this time we would've had to at $240 to get both. At minimum $120+$10-$12 extra to add one skewer. Although the ambiance is an "experience" it was not a satisfying culinary experience. As well, it was not clear we couldn't divide our checks up amongst each couple as most all restaurants can do. (Can only do 2 checks, we had 3 couples) It was more cumbersome on the waitress and us than just charging each couple one bill, we weren't sharing food or said put half this on each etc. it was clearly just 3 couples. As for what we did get... if crab dip hadn't had a shell in it I wouldn't have believed it had any crab in it, just cheese flavor. Steak skewer was well done (no choice given) yet veggies were aldente (to say the least). Wine was good but limited selection. I really don't understand why I can eat one think inside yet can't 20' away we would've had a much better experience if some accommodating had been offered on any of the above issues.

On Friday's if you are over 21 they had complimentary Orange crushes. Not sure if this is every Friday or if it was just for a special event that was going in at the hotel when we stayed here. The staff here are friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby is spacious and clean. They have a big sitting area with tables and chairs and tvs. This is where people eat meals. If you are a guest you get a free breakfast. The breakfast is nothing special by the way. There were eggs, sausages, cereal, bagels and oatmeal and a few other things. I participated in the free breakfast for my first day there and I was not impressed at all. It was the same when I stayed at another Hyatt place in another state. The eggs were pretty bad and the plates, bowls and silverware I first picked up were all dirty. I had to go through 2-3 to finally not get a dirty one. There is a pool and a gym in this hotel which is great. I did not go swimming while staying here but saw the pool area. I did not get to see the gym though. The room as you can see from pics are spacious and have a little living room like area with a couch. And a little wall that kind of separates it. This hotel is located right in Dewey and is very walkable to the great bar/ restaurant scene. I would stay here again if need be.

My mom and I were sleeping in different beds and both of us could not sleep due to how itchy and scratchy the sand was, on top of feeling like we were sleeping on dirty sheets. When we brought this up to the front desk, they said they could give us new sheets, so we put new sheets on top of these soiled sheets. This wasn't a viable solution but that was the best they could do. I would expect a beach hotel would have better cleaning for sand soiled bedding and would pay more attention to sand but I guess not. Overall this was a pretty disappointing experience. Paying hundreds for two dirty beds was completely unexpected. The only redeemable quality of this hotel was the free EV chargers which we took advantage of for our Tesla and the continental breakfast which was delicious. But it's hard to enjoy anything when you didn't get good sleep the night before.
