Initially, I was told that they would not check my car for 8 days. Still, after 3 days, I went to the store to tow my car back to my home, and they told me that my engine was sized. If I take my car back, then it will not be covered by the warranty. After two days, they called me again and informed me that the engine was in good condition and that the starter was the only thing that needed to be replaced. This was ridiculous and misleading to the customer. Clearly, they wanted me to earn my business. Also, they charged me $715 without giving me proof that they changed the starter. We must have asked for the price of the car a dozen times and they completely avoided answering us. I've been searching for a reasonably priced car for my daughter for a while which I thought was out of the realm being the prices are through the roof. I found a great car online and went to see it in person. My salesman was Mike Zeccardi who was absolutely great. Do NOT trust this dealership. They falsely advertise their inventory. You might as well be purchasing a car from a back alley. They falsely advertised a used car on cars.com and their own website, but the car didn't exist. We called to make an appointment to see it, they gave us the details and told us to come in. We waited six hours to see the car but they kept coming up with excuses as to why it wasn't there. First, it was "getting detailed." Then it was "getting a part replaced." Unfortunately, this dealership is truly horrible. I don't recommend to anyone who is trying to make a smart purchase. I went into the dealer and described a major pay-cut due to having to switch jobs, and spoke about trading in my (1-year-old) car for one that would save me money on my monthly payments. I showed interest in a used accent, base-line Elantra, or an Ioniq (which they were seemingly running a special on). My salesperson, Franswa, FLAT-OUT-DECIEVED me. He found a car that would save me about $120/month on a lease and had me sign a paper. I asked 3-5 times how much I would have to put down, and HE SAID NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT. When I went into the finance department, I was told they wanted $5000 down. How is this transparent? How is this a good representation of Hyundai? I ended up trading in a car that I truly loved and was proud of, putting all the money in my account down for the lease, and in reality, not saving any money on my monthly payments. Yes, anyone can look back and say, "well why did you do it?" and I understand that. But as many people know, it isn't always that easy to figure this out on the spot, especially with a dealership that makes it their sport to push their customers to make immediate decisions. Lets talk about Hyundai's 3-DAY WORRY FREE EXCHANGE... this dealer would have nothing to do with this. They told me that there was absolutely nothing they could do. I made three attempts with this the very next day after purchasing the car (well within the grace period). I love Hyundai brand. They make great cars and at good prices. Atlantic Hyundai is absolutely working to undermine the value and reputation of Hyundai USA, and it is truly unfortunate that the company allows this. My family has owned Hyundais for the past 30 years (8 cars so far), and will not be returning for a 9th. Do not trust the people working here. Trust me. Dishonesty +. I have been trying to get them to correct a clerical error (they inputted the wrong date on an extended warranty) for a month now. They have been unresponsive, elusive and have provided nothing but excuses. I've been working with another dealer to try and correct the issue but they have run into the same stumbling blocks. I had surgery recently and had to be driven there and assisted in (I walk with a cane), and I was promised assistance only to be lied to again! Avoid them at all costs. Buyer beware stay away do not trust ON 02/01/2023 I I brought my 2023 genesis GV70 the just purchased the month prior with only 620 miles in for a check engine light. I brought the car in and once they diagnosed the problem was with the transmission sensor and that they needed to change the transmission pan and gasket and that it will be covered under warranty So, they ordered the parts and I was told all the parts on back order and they do not know when it will come in. I asked for a loaner car and was told I would have to wait a month just to get a loaner, after some complaining for 2 weeks while all this time my car has been sitting in their shop, they finally give me a loaner vehicle. Then another 2 weeks pass and my car if finally ready to pick up. Once I get to the shop, I do a walk around the car and notice a big gash in my driver's side window I notify the service advisor and service manager they both acknowledge that wasn't there when I brought the car and offer to replace the driver side window but once again I would have to wait for it to come in and they would call me when it came in and I would bring the car back so they can replace the window. I leave and drive about an additional 100 miles on the car and check engine light comes on again. I call the service department and notify them right away about the problem they tell me to bring it back and I ask for a loaner again they tell I must wait a month and half to get one. So, I just leave the car with because I need this problem fixed. This is on 04/10/2023 when I brought the car back for service and they notify me that it is the same problem and genesis is saying to replace the entire transmission and once again I must wait and they will not have a loaner for me till June 8th. This is ridiculous on a brand-new car with only 700 miles and you telling me I must wait 2 months for a loaner and as of 05/25/23 I am still without my car or a loaner and they not done anything to make this right or accommodate to me. Please stay away from this dealership the customer and overall work ethic here is just horrible read more

Run! We found we used car online at $20k for a first car for my son. We put a $500 deposit (my sons own hard earned money) on the car to hold it until we could look at it. Our salesman Ritik was nice & showed us the car to test drive. Things were ok until we started talking price. The car was advertised at $20k online. We were told in person that price was after the $4k down. Bait & switch already. I was asked at least 14 times how much we wanted to put down. When I refused to answer before the price was discussed he became very condescending. Speaking to me like a moron. So I left saying we think about it. The next day we get a call from the finance manager. He was even worse! Demanding to know my downpayment. Then insulting me claiming my credit score would be a tier 5 at best. Then claiming we'd have to put down more than 1/2 the car for a down payment. I quickly said I'd like my deposit back. We were done. I then got a text from Ritik again asking my downpayment. I said make an offer! When he finally did I let him know we had a better offer on another car & would like our deposit back. He said "ok no problem". I've since texted him with no response. He's got a READ receipt on his messages so I know he's reading my texts. So glad they didn't get any more of our money. Who steals money from a 16yr kid who worked hard to safe? Upon entering the showroom, we were approached by Patsy, a older no hair salesman who is a very cocky and unprofessional who treated us very disrespectful. I asked about the different varieties of SUV's that Hyundai has to offer and he literally told me "what you never saw a Hyundai?" and sarcastically told me to look at a row of cars. He never took the time to explain anything or bother to ask me questions. I'm surprised that a company would allow a person like this to work there. The only reason why I gave this place 1 star is because the general manager Lindsay said that she will rectify this situation. Good luck Lindsay. I received a call from Atlantic Hyundai stating that I needed to bring my car in for service due to a recall. During the call, the representative stated that I had two free oil changes remaining. She urged me to bring the car in and get one of the free remaining oil changes during my visit. When I arrived for my appointment at 10 AM, I was greeted by Rich in the service department. He went over the details of my visit and informed me that there was a $39 charge for the oil change. I politely informed him that I was told on the phone that I had two free oil changes remaining. Rich stated that I was misinformed and firmly stated that there was a $39 charge for the oil change. I asked him to check the system to determine who had given me incorrect information. He said, "It doesn't matter because the offer expired in January." Once again, I stated that I wanted to know the name of the person with whom I had made the appointment. Additionally, I asked to speak to a manager to discuss the fact that I was given the wrong information concerning the free oil change. He rudely said, "You're SPEAKING to him!" When I asked if I could have the name and contact information of the person he reports to, he disregarded the question. I asked again shortly thereafter and once again received no response. He finally said, "As a one-time courtesy, I will honor the oil change." I thanked him for doing so and he said, "Sometimes I get loud because I'm Italian." I said, "Well I'm called doctor at work so I'm respectful." Note: I thought it was interesting that he acknowledged his poor demeanor when I had not even referenced it in our conversation. Even though I was pleased with other aspects of my visit including the time it took to complete the repair, Rich treated me in a less than stellar manner and did not represent Atlantic Hyundai in a positive way. read more

They start by never telling you what the price is and make you wait for ever. No one gives you a straight answer about pricing or interest rates. My wife wanted to lease a car for our son. The salesman told her they cannot lease a car to someone who has a lease on another car and she had to buy the car which she did. Then she said she didn't know if she had good credit (she has a 770 credit score ) and they said no problem we can help you and have her a 9% interest rate. I brought my car for service at 8:00 on Sat Aug 6 for an oil change and recall. I had to leave the car but was told it would be ready by early afternoon. The paperwork states I needed my car by 2pm. At 2:58 I called my Service Advisor, Christopher Kearney, and he was unavailable but would call me back. At 4:10 I called again and had to leave a voicemail message. I called again at 4:57 and left another message. I got a ride to the dealership about 5:45 and the service department was closed. We walked over to the Toyota dealership and spoke with a very helpful Dan Dailey, Service Mgr and a girl from finance, Rose. After a few minutes Rose got someone on the phone and advised me that Erica would call me to discuss the issue and would offer me a voucher for detailing my car. I awaited until Tuesday with no call. I emailed the service mgr from Hyundai, Tim Turnbull and he replied to my email and said he would call me Wed to discuss my issue. No phone call so I emailed the Gen Mgr, Peter Szorze, and surprise, no response. It's pretty sad that neither of these two representatives even seemed to care about the terrible customer service they provided. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. This is my 3rd Hyundai with this dealership and sadl to say my last. read more

I wish I could give no stars. 3 months ago my sons car was brought into this place due to his Engine blowing. When they called him he went in and the mechanic said the ac is not working. Everything was working fine before this moment. He spoke To the manger John Grasso and said he would give the ac at cost to fix but there was nothing wrong with it when it went in. My son called me I told him to tell him that you want the rental car back and the ac fixed. He started getting nasty with my son so I came to the dealership. He didn't even acknowledge us standing there just kept walking right by us until I said something then he spoke down to me like I was nothing. He told me he is not fixing the car because of my sons attitude when he was the first one to give my son a nasty attitude. I got very angry and he got worse. I told him I would never come back here he told me DON'T COME BACK I asked for a manger he told me he was the manger if he is the manger I am shocked that place is still in business. Our salesperson didn't seem to know what he was doing and left my wife and I alone several times waiting at his desk as he would get up and leave maybe to get answers to our questions) without acknowledging that he was leaving or for what reason. He also could work his computer correctly. We were seeking to lease a 2018 Sonata LE with the Ultimate Package and I couldn't get consistent numbers for payment per month or required down payment. I was told on a second visit that I had been told the monthly payment was $350 when our sales person quoted me $312 not to exceed $325. After a number of text messages back and forth trying to get a firm price, a fellow who identified himself as Chris, obviously frustrated with my persistence trying to get a quote I could rely on, pleaded that I not get a car from Atlantic Hyundai, that I could "get lost" and I could take my numbers and "shove it up [my] ass." Then he hung up without warning. After complaining to Hyundai customer relations, over the course of 3-4 weeks, I was told several times that I would receive an apology (didn't come), that Atlantic Hyundai did not return calls from corporate, that Josiah (whoever he is) at Atlantic Hyundai told customer relations that it would be a long time before I ever got an apology. Finally, the matter was bumped to a more senior level at customer relations and I did get a call from the general manager's second in command at Atlantic, Micola (not sure of the spelling), who, indeed, apologized. I would never go back to Atlantic. We just got back from leasing a car at Atlantic Hyundai we had previously negotiated a price and came down to finalize. Everything was ok unto we saw the finance manager! What a total classless jerk he was and immediately was going to charge us an additional 1200.00 for the bank fee that we rolled In and extra miles that we had negotiated! We got that settled with him after fighting with this guy. He told us we have an attitude really because we caught him trying to screw us! At the the end when we went to sign the lease agreement he added 1.37 to the original agreed on lease price and Wouldn't show me the final contact with the extra miles we agreed on and final lease price until we signed everything else . Well he was dealing w the wrong people! My husband raised his voice and said I demand to see the contract before I sign anything. the finance guy was being very confrontational and started yelling back until another salesman came in and told the guy to calm down that he was wrong ! How do you treat a customer like that with his bad attitude he should lose his job ! I brought my car in into the Dealership on Saturday 10/16 for an oil change, top the fluids. After I left later that day to discover oil dripping all over my driveway, the fluids were not topped off and I can tell by the receipt that they did not perform a multi point check on the car. They were also suppose to rotate the tires. Well, I can see now that Service was not done on my vehicle and wasted time on Saturday and now wasting the whole day Sunday trying to have the car serviced the correct way or better yet to perform a simple oil change. Starting to wonder if they even perform services on any customers cars at all. They want a 5 star rating for exceptional service, but that has to be earned not just give. For any other Hyundai customer if you bring your car in for service check it out before you leave because most likely they did not perform the service or did a terrible job. The service work was OK until I get a call saying my car will not pass NYS inspection because my wipers were torn and needed to be replaced. I told the service advisor that I has just recently replaced the wipers with new Bosch Icon wiper blades so it was hard for me to believe that they were torn. He told me to hold and he would take a 2nd look. Comes back and tells me there is a small tear in one blade but they will pass the car inspection. I get the car back and very carefully look at the wipers and they are PERFECT. Obvious scam and left me with a bad feeling. read more

My mother bought a used vehicle from this dealership back in December of 2019. In less than 1.5 weeks the car needed a new battery(left my mother stranded after work). After replacing the battery at our local mechanic(and also paying out of pocket for it) we took it back to the dealership. When we initially purchased the vehicle we were told we had a 30 day warranty that covered everything on the vehicle. The service manager by the name of Mitch H.(overweight Italian man that sits at front desk) was completely rude and unhelpful and stated "you aren't getting any money out of us". "You're mom clearly doesn't know how to turn off the lights in a car". We explained to Mitch that all lights were turned off appropriately. Our mechanic concluded that the dealership simply sold my mother a car with a bad battery and tried to cover it up with a recharge. I wish I could give 1 star to this dealership. First you sell my mother a car with a bad battery and then you insult her in the process of ripping her off. Do not buy from these idiots(just look at how the SERVICE MANAGER treats customers). I don't think I've ever left a business as angry and disgusted as I was when I left Atlantic Hyundai. I walked up to the door, and was greeted by a salesman by the name of Patick. He asked my wife and I what we were looking for. But when I gave him our specifications and budget, he proceeded to show us cars that were the exact opposite of what we were looking for. When I told him that we needed something more affordable, he asked if I was planning on financing. I told him no, and his response was "oh, then you have bad credit". Which is completely wrong and insulting to assume. So I mentioned that we saw some cars online that were more in our price range, and he told me to "go online then and just tell me what car you want so you aren't wasting my time." I obviously came down to see what other cars they had available, and now I'm being told to just find my own? I should have walked out right then, but we really wanted to find a car. So we continued to look, and Patrick pointed out a VW that we liked. I asked what the price and the mileage was, and he told us that he would go find out from his manager and be right back. My wife and I stood outside for over 10 minutes but he never came back out, so we went inside. And as soon as we did, we saw Patrick sitting at his desk talking to another couple. He saw us come in and immediately got defensive before we even had a chance to say anything. He told us that we were supposed to come in to discuss things and that when we didn't, he just assumed we had left. Which was a total lie, because he explicitly told us to wait outside. I can only assume that he didn't believe we were worth his time. So I went up to the manager, pointed to Patrick, and said, "that guy is an asshole". The manager just laughed. I turned around to leave, and as I was walking out the manager said "Patrick made me a lot of money last month!" Well I'm glad you have a rude, condescending, high pressure salesperson that can make you lots of money. But I think it's pretty shitty that he would treat customers this way. Why? Because we have a budget and cant afford something brand new? Because we would rather pay cash instead of finance? That's ridiculous.
