We hired Atlantic Radon after our first remediation system install with another company did not go well (undesirable location, noise, etc.). Dan came out the day after we called to inspect our current system and offer ideas on improvement. It turns out we could have routed the system through the basement ceiling and out the side of our house with the rest of our utilities like we'd originally planned. (Unfortunately, the first contractor from another company convinced us this wasn't possible, and used cheap, thin PVC pipe that resulted in a lot of noise.) Dan and Zack spent a whole day removing the old system, adding a second suction point, routing the pipes to a new location, and painting the downspout to match our siding. The new system works great, looks great, and is completely silent. They even stopped by to drop off the can of color-matched paint they used for future touch-ups. We highly recommend Dan, Zack and the Atlantic Radon team, and wish we'd found / hired them in the first place. You get what you pay for! read more

After the installation of our radon remediation system, our radon level went from 4.5pCi/L to .8. We are very happy with the results. Another company wanted more than double by recommending unnecessary work. Tom takes a step by step approach, meaning that if the initial work doesn't lower the levels sufficiently, he will then look into doing additional work like sealing the crawlspace. I called Atlantic Radon based on the Yelp reviews. Tommy provides an excellent service. From the beginning to the end, the customer service was great. Radon gas was something new to us, and Tommy educated us and instructed us on what to watch in the system he made active. His services included a fan installation for which he provided the model number from the beginning. Even more, his installation lasted for two hours, but his education portion was about an hour. Our levels of radon gas went to the minimum. his recommendations on how to manage the temporary rise when it rains, work well, and he remains available to answer questions. I especially like the respect he and his team had from the beginning with calls, texts, and details information on what the service was going to include. Tommy from Atlantic Real Estate Services installed a radon mitigation system in my home. I was very pleased with both the system and their professionalism. I would strongly recommend this company. I contacted several NRPP certified radon service providers, and Tommy's initial response stood out. He followed-up with both a phone call and an email, asking detailed questions about my home. He also said that he had installed a radon system in a house on my street, which told me he stood by his work. Tommy visited the house to provide a free estimate, and he found that we happened to have a "passive" radon mitigation system which the previous owners had apparently installed. Tommy took a day to think about the project, and he offered two estimates: one to convert the passive system to an "active" system, and another to install a new system altogether. I appreciated that Tommy carefully evaluated my house, to the point that he found the passive system and offered that cheaper conversion option in addition to the altogether new system. We ended up going with the new system to avoid any unexpected complications, and because we knew the new system was fairly priced. I needed the work to be done quickly and during a specific time period, which Tommy accommodated. Tommy and his crew (his father-in-law and brother-in-law) left the house the way they found it, and the radon ventilation gutter on the outside of the house is as aesthetically pleasing as possible. As far as post-testing, they left a monitor in the house for a couple of days, and then they sent me results which showed a significant reduction. In addition, I also own my own radon monitor (an Airthings), which had shown an eight-week average above 4.0 before the system was installed. Within days of the radon mitigation service being turned on, the average had gone down to just above 1.0. These guys were a pleasure to work with and talk to, they offered a fair price which I ran by other contractors, and they did good work which I independently verified with my own monitoring device. I went with this company for three reasons: 1) Slew of (deserved) positive reviews across platforms 2) They actually sent someone to assess our property, which left us with a clear picture of exactly what we were getting and a firm quote. Paul was very thorough and explained the limitations of our space and all the pros and cons of where the system could be placed. Other companies were unable to provide an in-person estimate or idea of where the system would be installed, provided several hundred dollar ranges, and did not ask questions about quirks in our space that Paul was able to identify as issues. 3) I had a ton of questions and Tommy responded to them all promptly and thoroughly. After using the services offered by Atlantic, I can state that a client is going to get from this company experience, creativity, enthusiasm and great results. Tommy is friendly, understanding and ready to listen to any concerns. The installation of any radon mitigation system is, from what I learned, a very difficult job. Tommy explained in clear details what was required to fix the radon problem. He was able, among different options, to find a route for the pipes out of the house that involved the minimal physical damage to existing structures and minimal esthetic interference with the exterior look of the house (pipes have to open up above the roof level). His full report, which reached us 24 hours later, included all actions taken, material used, results of the final testing and photographic evidence: the final reading was 0.4 units versus the initial 1.9 units.
