Atlantic Station is an outdoor mall in Atlanta. During the spring and summer its great to attend but during the cold fall and winter days maybe not so much. My main purpose for heading there is to go to the movies and restaurants. They have a ton of different restaurants to choose from if you are looking for a quick bit to eat, drinks with friends, or a sit down dinner. Shopping is not a huge selling point for me at Atlantic Station due to their not being enough free parking for everyone. You do get 2 hours free validated parking for the garage and 4 hours if you are going to the movies. They do have a good selection of brand stores to shop at which is a plus. The other added bonus is they have fun events such as yoga, movie in the park, hello kitty pop ups, festivals which is why I love Atlantic Station in the spring and summer. read more

I really like this place. I saw it driving by on the freeway, and asked what the ginormous shopping area consisted of. Since I wasn't a fan of the Lenox Mall [I live one minute from South Coast Plaza at home], I wasn't toooo interested, but decided to stop by anyway since we had a couple hours to kill. The station is huge, near the ghetto area, but is building up fast. Many of the normal stores are in here, but I found some cute things in K.La that I wouldn't have found in the West Coast, so I was happy. We also went to the theatres here and I was quite happy with the sound system. We saw the new Angelina Jolie movie Wanted, and it was nice to have the incredible sound system supporting the movie. I'd see Dark Knight at this theatre. We haven't eaten in any of the restaurants, but they lookgood and next time I'm in Atlanta, I'll definitely come back here. read more

A good friend just moved over here. It's nice and has a lot of options for fun, but walking across 17th Street sucks. Not pedestrian friendly at all. I love the huge parking deck and being able to get my nails done, see a movie, pick up some chocolate and some retail therapy all in one place. It does feel quite "big box commercial," but at least we have the option right in the middle of midtown. I've gotta say, for previously being a superfund site, Atlantic Station's a big improvement over that. The idea of Atlantic Station (a walkable community in the middle of urban Atlanta where everything is normally so spread out you have to get in your care to get anywhere) is a great one, albeit unrealistic. And the execution is passable. Indeed there is a movie theater, a Publix, a ton of overpriced condos, a little park in the center where a giant Christmas tree is erected and movies are played during the warm weather months, a smattering of retail shops including: Dillard's, Banana Republic, American Eagle, and restaurants like Strip, California Pizza Kitchen and Rosa Mexicana. Oh, and a lack of parking above ground - it's all underneath and you have to pay after the first two hours. Boo for that (especially if you go to a restaurant that doesn't validate or forget to get it punched at the movie theater). This place is convenient for doing a movie and dinner without having to drive from one place to the next, or taking a stroll around if you're not in of the neighborhoods like downtown Decatur or the VA Highlands. However, when it comes to fulfilling the promise of a little self-contained community, I think that's a little overambitious. Atlantic Station and I have a love-hate relationship. On the one hand, it IS a good area to go if you don't want to have to deal with an actual mall - but on the other, it really is...a mall, only outside. On a usual weekend or evening, the teens have taken over the place, because as you and I know, its about the only place then can get into being underage and everything, but I digress. As far as the quality of stores go, it has all the usual fare: Express, H&M, DSW, Banana, I mean, there's nothing here that's gonna surprise you. I mean, yes, there are a few little boutiques here and there, but nothing to get your heart pressure all up for. Yes, this is my go-to place for the movies, mostly because its a pretty big theater and it's centrally located and has all the new movies and all that. Overall, it is what it is, and nothing more, so, if you're looking for a little fresh are to go with your mall experience (damnit! They dont have Auntie Annes!) I'd say give it a try. You have to visit this place at least once or twice in your life, but for the love of Bob, don't go into H&M on a weekend. Its a madhouse. read more

Atlantic Station gets a lot of flack for not living up to its hype, but I'm still a fan. - I can usually get in and out in under 2 hours, so deck parking is free. - I find it a much less crowded shopping experience than going to a mall (and my favorite mall retailers are there). - There is quite a lot to do other than shop: 10 Pin Alley is more like a nice bar with bowling; I've enjoyed my movie-going experience every time; my husband and I go for dinner - it is nice and romantic to stroll around after dinner (they especially do a nice job decorating for the holidays). I couldn't give a hoot about "being seen". Posers and loafers can (and should) go elsewhere. If you want a laid back place to spend a nice afternoon or evening with your friends or loved ones, this is an excellent option. read more

this is my favorite place to regularly hang out...especially the movie theater that has a whole new VIP section just for adults. Atlantic Station has everything for shopping including a Publix grocery store, an H&M, a Dillard's and a Target. I guess the only thing it doesn't have is a Macy's and a Victoria's Secret. Atlantic Station also has some great restaurant like the Cheesecake Factory and the Strip steak house. Strip is probably my favorite place to eat. They also have free events such as yoga in Central Park and movies after dark. I could go on and on about the great things see and do in Atlantic Station but you would have to go for yourself. read more

If your new to the city, the Station is definitely a great spot to start if your trying to get acclimated to the city. The good: a) Free parking for 2 hrs b) A number of commercial restaurants that you can check out c) 1/2 Price food at Dolce on Mondays and the Sushi place across the street (cant think of the name) on Sundays d) Convenient as hell to meet with friends or start the night. The Bad: a) This place gets old after a while, and you start to look for a "new Atlantic Station b) If you are trying to see and be seen this is definitely the spot to be---its like going to the Grove in Los Angeles, or Times Square in NY...just a lot going on, and c) Too many kids on Friday/Saturday nights now...i kinda wish they would put a curfew/age requirement, but that wouldnt be right now would it...I guess the youngsters are ok sometimes...sigh. read more

I completely understand the changes that Atlantic Station are doing right now but please make sure that no cars are harmed in the process. While visiting on Monday, July 15, 2019. I ran over a nail. I had run flats on my vehicle so I was able to get home but replacing those tires are not cheap. It will cost me close to $300.00 to replace one tire. read more

I love Atlantic Station. It's a fun place to explore and take people when they come to visit. I'm here almost every day because of the LA Fitness location. I never have a problem parking or driving here, but I think that's because I always enter on the second level and park there as well. They have fun happenings in the Central area like live music and movie showings in the summer. The Christmas tree they put up in the winter is beautiful. In the spring and fall it's perfect, walking outside and just enjoying nice days. Need a place to spend some time? Try Atlantic Station. read more

Shopping is decent, Boneheads is a favorite, the movie theater is a bit spendy but pretty well run and has late night showings. I live near GaTech campus so its real convenient, and I like the open air. I really have no complaints about Atlantic Station, but it isn't surprising to find a bunch of Yelp yuppies complaining about "thugs" and "homies" in an urban shopping center. You folks love gentrification, if only you could do something with those pesky Black folks, amirite? Whatever. Move to Dalton if you don't like it, the city life is obviously not your thing. read more

I love this place. There's a ton of food to select from, semi-cheap to hoity toity. I still love Dolce and who doesn't love Nathan's hot dogs? The theatre is my go-to theatre. Though the maintenance isn't the best in there. Seriously, do your job guys - if you have to clean the theatre... clean it! You get paid to do just that! (Sorry, I had to.) I enjoy clothes shopping here: Gap, Banana, H&M, Old Navy, Express, Dillards, City Sports, American Eagle. The Publix there has a decent selection, though I can never get a cold Diet Rockstar, must trek down to Target for that - if even then. That lead me to my next one, the Target. Oh sweet Target, where I can't leave without blowing at least $30. Then there's Ikea. Modern furniture that's easy on the budget. Hope I get gift cards for my birthday! There's much more to love about Atlantic Station - like the Taste of Atlanta. Mmmm. Z Gallerie and West Elm. The shuttle. The seasonal events like Cirque. I enjoy strolling around here. And who doesn't love free 2 hour parking (4 if validated at movies) in a city FULL of pay parking lots? I know I do! read more

I went to Atlantic Station for the first time several years ago was when I was just visiting Atlanta. I recall being put off by the complicated parking garage, and the fact that it was an "outdoor" mall. Personally, I prefer malls that are enclosed to shield me from the heat during the summer and blistering cold during fall, winter, and spring. Fast forward to the present... Now that I live in Georgia, I have found myself visiting Atlantic Station quite often - for occasional meals at California Pizza Kitchen and Tin Drum, and movies at the Regal Stadium 16. I've also attended the Bodies exhibit and Dialog in the Dark there. To be honest, I really don't care too much about shopping here. Most of the stores at Atlantic Station can also be found at the Mall of Georgia, which is super close to my house. Since parking is only free for the first 2 hours here, I usually only have enough time to have a meal and browse one or two stores before I rush back to my car to avoid paying for additional hours. If you go to a movie, however, be sure to get your parking ticket validated for an additional 2 hours of free parking! Overall, Atlantic Station gets 3 stars - for being an OK mall with a nice Regal theater and a few good restaurants. I had to subtract 1 star for the annoying parking garage (why do they have so many "Exit" signs that DON'T lead to an exit?!) and 1 more for the fact that you only get 2 hours to shop with free parking. I will continue to go back for occasional meals with friends and movies at the Regal, but probably not for shopping. * TIP: If you plan to hang out at Atlantic Station for more than 3 hours but less than 6 hours (which would cost you between $6 to $10), I recommend you buy the $5 "Front Row" parking, located on the P1 level. I did this once when I knew I was going to be there for about 5 hours. Reminds me of a mall named Bayshore in my city of Milwaukee. Bayshore but on steroids! It was huge it has lots of places to eat and a big movie theater. There is also a place to knock some things off of your grocery list. Target and Publix can help you with this. I would imagine that the parking gets crazy at times. I could totally understand how someone could forget where they parked at with a parking structure of its size. read more

Atlantic Station is cool! I remember when it first opened, it was the talk of the town. I've been to several restaurants in Atlantic Station and I've enjoyed them all. I've also been to the movie theater. I went inside the Dillards once but only for a quick second to find my mom. So I haven't done any shopping there. Well I did buy something from a vendor if that counts. I think the condos in Atlantic Station are very nice looking, I wouldn't mind touring them one day. I also passed nice high rise condos the last time I was there, I really wonder what those look like. I never have a problem with parking. I mean when it's busy I don't find a spot right away but that's expected. I do however find one. I think Atlantic Station was a great idea and I love it! We come to Atlantic Station for really only 1 reason - for extra attractions - Cirque De Soil, Tennis, etc. They have most major brands and stores. We do like when they have vendors surrounding the park and stores. I like to purchase my phone cases from the guys there. Prices are better than the mall by almost $15 bucks!! Plus they take off your old one and replace with a new screen protector and phone case if you would like. Parking is simple and plenty of it below. If you are aiming for a specific store then you have to figure the best options to park. Publix and different restaurants are all right within walking distance. read more

I live in this area and when it first opened up I loved hanging out in Atlantic Station. Now I feel like I have to hurry up and get in, do what I have to do - then get out. I've gotten lost in the parking garage a few times, I felt like I was driving through a maze. One time I almost had a panic attacked, I thought I would never get out The restaurant prices are insane and not all that good. I am happy that they just opened up a Body Shop in that area. read more

As a person who hates malls, I think Atlantic Station is pretty nice. To me, the open-air environment makes it feel less claustrophobic. I can walk from store to store without being, well, mauled. I do agree with others who said that the architecture is cheesy, but I can forgive that because again, it's a freaking mall. I'm not expecting design, just a decent place to shop. The selection of stores is pretty extensive. There are also other neat things - for example, my doctor's office moved there (Piedmont Physicians Group). This is nice because before it was located in Piedmont Hospital. For those of you complaining about Atlantic Station parking, you should see the parking arrangements at the freaking hospital. To be honest, I don't think the parking is that bad. The underground parking deck is a little confusing to me because I have a horrible sense of direction. However, it's clean and I can always find a space. And they give you your first hour or two of parking for free, kinda like a crack dealer. The "urban element" is a little disturbing at certain times of day, which is why I am only giving 4 stars. I haven't noticed it so much at night as if you go to Atlantic Station during odd hours of the weekday when most people would be at office jobs (and not on lunch break). On weekend nights, the vibe seems much better. Is it safe for females to wander alone there at night? Probably not, but what place in downtown Atlanta IS safe for that? I mostly avoid Atlantic Station at night because I don't feel like waiting forever to get seated in a restaurant. But I do feel that it's a solid shopping locale and a nice option for tourists and visitors to the city who want a place to knock around. read more

No complaints from me about this shopping complex. I like the open-air concept, as it promotes being outside (in smog-filled Atlanta, no less) and the variety of shops and eateries are enough to keep the place interesting. I stop maybe once every two months, on average, and I have eaten at Rosa Mexicano, CPK, Copeland Cheesecake Bistro, and Tin Drum. I have also enjoyed desserts and/or coffee at cafe nineteen and Kilwin's. At some future point, I'd like to sample Strip's and Atlantic Grill's fare. As for shopping, I love IKEA (even though you need to drive a bit to get there) and like to check out what's going on at Nine West, h&m, Banana Republic, DSW, and Fab'rik. Publix really adds to the feeling that this is a place to live, work, and play and I have picked up little knick-knacks there too. The Regal Cinema movie theater is nice and large and will validate your parking tab to give you a total of 4 free hours. Score! read more

Atlantic Station is worth checking out if you have a reason to, but I wouldn't call it an Atlanta destination by any means. The area consists of shops, restaurants, hotels, residences, and of course a movie theater. It's a large development and caters to a large number of interests- primarily shopping interests though. I do go to Atlantic Station occasionally, mostly to see movies, or shop at H&M, but it is not one of my favorites places. It is a bit too pre-fabricated, if you will. On the other hand, I will take Atlantic Station over Lenox Mall any day. Some shopping options include Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, Bath and Body Works, Express, Victoria's Secret, West Elm, Lululemon, DSW, and H&M to name a few. There are some newer dining options that I have yet to try- such as Yardhouse, but there are also plenty of old stand-bys like Moe's, CPK, Which Wich, and Tin Drum. Currently, Atlantic Station has a 10,000 sq ft, ice skating rink set up for the winter months. I haven't been yet but it sounds like fun! They are also currently hosting the Bodies Exhibit, and often host Cirque Du Soleil. A little something for everybody, but make sure not to get too caught up. The local shops and restaurants in Atlanta definitely take the cake! read more

I love you Atlantic Station!!!!!!!! lol O how i'd love to live in one of your condos. :o( Alas I do have the chance to shop, wine and dine with you and catch an occasional movie at your theater. This place has it allllll. Shopping; DSW, DILLARDS, IKEA, GUESS STORE, etc etc etc, Dining; ATLANTIC GRILL, CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN & STRIP (I love STRIP) etc etc condos and parking that is only $3 if not less or nothing at all. You can't find that in the city. The parking lot is a bit huge but atleast it's below the streets and the rows are numbered and lettered so if you get lost (which I have many o' times) then I wish you luck. lol I love Atlantic Station but my only problem is that it does get a little ghetto fabulous at night. It is as Blake said get a little "freaknick Jr" at night. I mean some of these kids look like it is way pass their bed time but here they are with 20 of their friends roaming around Atlantic Station. Kinda puts a sour taste in my mouth but just like Underground things are bound to head south at some point. Just didn't see it coming so soon. :o( I still give Atlantic Station 5 stars though because the place is still a beautiful little city of its own and no ones gonna keep me from doing my shopping. As my friend described it perfectly 'A mini Navy Pier' if you are from Chicago- ex cept there is pier or land of water but restaurants and kiosks (for tourists) and shops. A perfect place to have taken out of towners like me- but good for families as their is a small open field for kids to run around on or to possibly eat outside at with a picnic blanket? Tons of stores from high end luxury furniture stores to Gap and Francesca's. We enjoyed dining at the Yard House too. It was good to walk around and get a little sun- and it was nice that parking was so cheap. The garage is clean - but I guess everything in ATL is- but either way- a great visit! read more

This is your basic outdoor shopping center. Similar to The Grove & The Americana in LA. I didn't venture into many of the shops but they did have a plethora of different retail stores. There weren't many options for coffee - which was a little displeasing to me, as most outdoor places like this one usually have a few cafes offering warm beverages to shoppers... especially for when the weather cools down. The layout is bigger than most outdoor plazas and malls, and the crowds are just as present (i assume less on weekdays than weekends/holidays). Dining options are vast and you are sure to find whatever you're looking for here! read more

I have been going to Atlantic Station for years. Atlantic Station is constantly evolving, remodeling, adding and removing restaurants, and shops. The parking is free for the first 2 hours, and sometimes 3 if you are seeing a movie and get it validated. Atlantic Station has a lot of shopping options for ladies and kids. Some of my go to places include Old Navy, Target, Victoria Secret, and Bath and Body Works. The majority of others are out of my price range or not my style. I typically go here when I want to see a movie down town for a later time. In fact most of my check ins are from going to a movie or having dinner in Atlantic Station. The Regal in Atlantic Station usually has later show times than most of the other theaters in the area, which is preferable for me sometimes because there are less children (and teens) out after the curfew. Some of my favorite eating spots that are left in Atlantic Station include California Pizza Kitchen (I love the butter cake), and Yard House for the Half off apps. They have gotten rid of some of my favorite places to eat (Moe's and Cheescake Bistro), so a lot of the food that is left here is over priced. I guess it is simply because of the rent costs and the location. I highly recommend coming during the week days or earlier on weekends if you like to avoid crowds. On the other hand you should visit at night during holidays and weekends for the different activities that take place in the park. I recommend Atlantic Station for those that want a more upscale shopping/night life scene in the city. Atlantic Station also serves as a great girls night out or date night. Great outdoor mall, you could spend a few hours here on a nice day. The theater is the main attraction, and their shopping options are pretty solid. Haven't tried any of the restaurants yet, they look a but pricey. But overall its a pretty chill mini-downtown area with a variety of young people hanging out. Atlantic station is great for a date. It is a one stop shop. You can entertain your date easily. You can walk around smiling talking to get to know each other. Maybe grab each others hand once in a awhile or just hold hands depending on the vibe. It has clothes and shoe stores for shopping or just glancing around with your date. Maybe you can even buy him/her something. Then you can grab a bite to eat you can go cheap or you can go average. Depending on pockets that night. After that you can go to bodies museum or to the movies. Again depending on pockets. One thing about Atlantic station for taking your date. You can always get to know your date. You can walk and talk. If you are a true gentleman with some game. You should be able to get you some by the end of the night. Just smiling and laughing with her with a good walk around. It don't even have to be expensive. I gave it 4 stars. I had to take away a star cause of the teen children walking around with no manners. I haven't got disrespected by any but, they sure walk around causing attention. Loud and carrying on. But we all been there before. I guess I'm officially a old man now. :) read more

Atlantic station is pretty okay for being one of the closest things to a mall within metro Atlanta, but it's really not as great as a lot of people make it seem. Parking is free for the first hour, and afterwards, much like everything else here, it's very expensive. Movies here are now basically $10, and on top of that they took off student discounts on Friday's and Saturdays, as if they weren't ripping you off enough already. That aside, there are a few good, albeit expensive, places here, among them restaurants, clothing stores, and other shops. Also, on some weekends they have a lot of tents set up with people selling art, clothes, and other trinkets, which is an interesting sight but there usually isn't anything worth getting. All in all, this place is okay for when you want to go out and just want something close to the city, but I don't particularly come here much anymore, as it's too expensive for what little it offers. read more

This is an outside mall area with plenty of shopping and plenty of restaurants and bars. The mall has H&M and Express (my two favorite stores). Oh I've experienced much much better. I live across the street and I would rather drive 20 mins to go to Buckhead or 5 mins to Howells Mill Rd. These are the reasons why: Shopping: The stores here are just ok. The staffs at the store are low quality and not very friendly. Maybe except Kilwin's. Poor service means a poor shopping experience, which means I wouldn't want to shop here. Price: Everything is marked up. I pay the same price for service, goods, and clothes here as I would in Buckhead. Why not go to Phips Plaza where they treat you like a king if you're gonna pay this kind of price? Food: Sub-par. None of the fast casual restaurants here are worth paying $15-$30 a person for a meal. A short drive takes you to Star Provisions, Osteria del Figo, and Bacchanalia. Why waste time here? The only 2 reasons I ever come here are for the Publix, and that's cause I have no choice and it's the only grocery store nearby and the fresh food will spoil if I had to drive 20mins in the Atlanta sun, and the Target because I'm paying low prices so I don't care as much if the service is crummy. Die Atlantic Station! I would rather walk my butt across the 17th street overpass to go to Midtown. read more

This review is only for their parking - Lanier Parking Solutions. These people are the worst. My friend lives at the Twelve Residences and pays for parking every month. AND they tried to charge us $6 to get out of the lot tonight because we went through a different entrance and apparently that's space/revenue that they could be making from a paying customer. Um, EXCUSE ME but the last time I checked Atlantic station is ONE aka the SAME parking lot throughout. It's all the same name. And on top of that, if you don't want me parking there, don't let me through with my resident's access card in the first place. This place has interesting shopping places and cool parking lots, but I find it just isn't that great all around. In the evening, it is very sketch with certain minorities, but you will find that college students (particularly ones from GT) will be there to watch movies. Prices are very expensive there. But parking is free (for an hour). read more

From a design standpoint, AS is dismal. Not so much from the fact that the town center is nostalgic but that it was done so cheaply. If you're going to do a half ass job trying to look traditional architecture, come up with another game plan. Fake ass brick and EIFS doesn't cut it. And the contemporary apt and condo buildings look like they'll have dissolved in 25 years. From a retail standpoint, it's true that the stores are really nothing special. But intowners need generic shops too; not every item is going to be purchased at a chi chi boutique. Saves a trip to Lenox. My only reasons for going there are the Target, the theater, IKEA, West Elm, and Z Gallerie. The H&M there sucks compared to the ones up north. Overall, a pretty crappy place, but then again what do you expect in this town? read more

Who doesn't love Atlantic Station! Always a great experience - from shopping to a great walk or catching a movie, I always enjoy myself here! Parking is limited near the store fronts but there's a covered parking lot that offers plenty of space. They even offer a free shuttle from the Arts Center Marta station.
