Very cool place to hang out. As a person that's lived in ATL for five years now, I often find myself here to either eat or go to the movies. The only downside here is parking which sucks! Parking on the street is horrible at best and even though the parking deck is nice...prices to park are high and Lord have mercy if you forgot where you parked....you will go on an epic journey trying to find your car!!! read more

Atlantic Station has had it's up and downs. It is on the up but man it use to be ghetto central! It basically became the freaknik reunion. I think they got new management so it is getting MUCH better. I mean I have seen families walking around there now. I feel bad for people who bought property in the area because it probably took the biggest hit in real estate prices over the last 6 years than anywhere in the city. read more

Its in midtown Altanta and is one my favorite places to visit when I go to ATL. It has plenty of great shopping, coffee, food and entertainment for the whole family. The area is well built and well maintained. They even have a big grass area for you to just sit and people watch. read more

A nice outdoor shopping center right in the heart of Atlanta. There's a parking garage underneath the shopping complex which is free for the first two hours, then you pay but your ticket can be validated if you buy something. There are a lot of restaurants and a huge movie theatre which also has two IMAX screens. There's also a lot of street parking (with meters). read more

This is a good place to take visitors. It has shopping departments, cafes, places to eat, markets, movie theaters, etc. I confess, if you've lived in Atlanta for awhile I'm sure you're sick of this place if you've been there often. Atlantic Station is perfect for those "In And Out" kind of trips to a mall. I like the fact that the parking is free for the first two hours because we all know Atlanta like to play crazy games when it comes to parking! There are several options to shop at as well as a few places to eat. Now I'm a fan of Yard House and also the desert shop Kilwin's both located inside. For anybody that wants to workout they have an LA fitness oddly enough inside the station as well. I felt like the whole gym thing and a grocery store inside a outdoor mall was a bit odd but hey if it works for you then this is your place! I myself just can't imagine walking around sweaty after the gym to shop or even to the grocery store but that's just me. Other than that this place is pretty cool! read more

I was expecting something much more thrilling than what I actually found when I rode up the escalator at Atlantic Station. There are really very few stores there and they are all kind of blah. I did like the West Elm store but was not impressed with H&M and the Dillards seemed to be lacking. I guess I would go on a cooler evening for a movie and to take a walk around but that seems like a lot of trouble for something not so exciting. After living in Florida and visiting many other places that have great outdoor shopping malls, I just can't guarantee I'll be back. read more

I have mixed feelings about Atlantic Station, we like to visit there like everyone else and I have been to the cinema there several times. They always have several interesting things going on this time of year, like Cavalia (last year) and Cirque du Soleil this year. I think the developer has given a good example of what a mixed use/new urbanism development can be although I do have some issues with some of it. There are plenty of places to shop and to live within walking distance of each other in this development although that's where some of my heartburn comes in. I have done some (limited) research regarding what it would cost to live here and I suspected that this development was not designed with the working class in mind at all and after I went shopping there, it removed all doubt. In my opinion, new urbanist/mixed use developments should have housing and amenities that are affordable to the working class although few of them ever really do in my opinion although I can't claim to have verified this by researching every single new urban development on the planet. As I stated earlier, there is plenty of shopping here, there is a Target, a Publix, a ton of restaurants, and an Old Navy, Dillards, etc. The usual suspects you see at most malls. From what I understand, this development was built on an old Brownfield site, which I think is pretty cool and I have seen other reviewers mention that this place has no character. I agree, although I am not an architect, I would have to ask.....can you design character or is it gained over time? I think it is something that is gained over time, but that's just my opinion and you know what they say about those. I don't remember seeing a church or a post office here any of the times that we have been through this area and that is a glaring weakness to me, many of the new urbanism projects that I have been around usually don't forget the post office although you can make a good argument for whether a church should be included or not......what denomination do you put in there without making someone else mad? Or do you put in a non-denominational church that nobody will attend? Anyways, as much as I have criticized, this isn't a bad place and it does have a cool vibe to it. It's a neat place to take family when they visit from out of town or to go to a movie when you have $40 to blow (if it's just two of you). I like all the clothing stores here but there are plenty of other places you can get the same stuff a lot cheaper. Additionally....the fact that you have to pay for parking keeps us from doing anything here other than seeing a movie.....having to pay for the privilege of going to buy over-priced food and clothes irks me a little. read more

Ive been here many times, but I like this place better in the summer. It has a good variety of shops. I've mostly come here for the movie theater or to pass time hanging outside or the activities they have here. I do prefer other places for shopping in Atlanta, though but this one isn't a bad option. read more

This is a great place to hang out and walk around and observe all that's happening around you. The shopping is all right too, though I don't usually come here to shop. The eating is pretty good though, as the California Pizza Kitchen here has good service and equally good pizza. I've been to Moe's here as well, but my Saturday night experience wasn't too great, as it was overrun by high school kids being annoying. Probably the best aspect of Atlantic Station are the views of its high rises and those that dot the Midtown Atlanta skyline. Another place I used to go to a lot when I lived in Midtown. It's perfect for walking around and shopping. Go see a movie. Pick a restaurant to eat at. There's plenty to do. It's like a self-sufficient tiny town inside of a town inside of a city. I actually wouldn't mind living right here in Atlantic Station, which you can also do. read more

Atlantic Station is my go to place when I like to walk around at night and enjoy the foods that they offer. I like Kilwin's ice cream, the different variety of cuisine that Atlantic Station offers and that I can also shop as well. It's fun and a different atmosphere from all the malls. :) read more

now that I have been to Avalon in alpharetta, Atlantic stations sister property, I see a big difference. to be blunt, Avalon is more upscale, has more attractive people, and is much better. Avalon is the younger, hotter sister. Atlantic station is a bit ghetto. stores are always a mess and you must dig through piles of clothes. it does not attract upscale clientele. read more

I kinda hate this place. Bad traffic, generally ugly cookie cutter architecture (especially the highrises). And the parking garage...hmmm...how to put this nicely: a cluster F. There are a small handfull of decent stores and some crappy ones that should go out of business (Dillard's, I'm lookin' at YOU!). There are some OK restaurants and a nice coffee bar, but some that are BLEK! (California Pizza). All in all, I find few compelling reasons to go here. I don't go there at night, generally so I can't endorse or deny what some reviewers have said about the loitering element. read more

I've been to Atlantic Station over the weekend, and I must say some of the stores here are not too bad. They have a West Elm store that has a concept similar to Crate and Barrel. There were a couple of restaurants that didn't last too long here, like the FOX Sports and Grill. However, they have added a couple of nice eateries like the Yard House. Atlantic Station recently added a candy store (It's Sugar) and they have an ice cream/chocolate shop which is pretty cool. The H&M here is one of the better ones here in Atlanta. The have clothes on two levels, with a good selection of men's clothing on the 2nd floor. Other stores in Atlantic Station, including Express and Kate's stores are pretty good too The only drawback I see here is the overpriced parking and the crowds that pack this place on the weekends. So if you're Atlanta and you looking a cool place, this would be the one. read more

Five stars for Cirque but the parking deck situation was ridiculous. Paid flat rate to get in but going out the tickets were not validated and wanted everyone to pay again to get out. Finally one guy showed up and was trying to manually override every car in all three lanes. We left a few minutes early so I can imagine how bad the congestion was for the poor souls who stayed later. read more

Pretty disappointing . I stopped there today to see nothing impressive. I asked a security guard about street entertainers. Gave me a "Not Allowed" . I went to the atlantic station on April 17th. I parked in P 10. I read that the first two hours are free. Get this, I was there for only one hour and 30 mniutes and i was charged 6.00. Thank God that I had 6.00 on me. That was my first time there. I thought it said free for the first 2 hours. When I read some of the reviews I read that youall said it to, that the first 2 hours are free. So why in the heck I was charged 6.00 for 1 and 30 minutes!!! I wish I could go back a retrieve my money. Now I am kind of scared to park in the decks now because it might charge me 10.00 the next time. I wonder who can I talk to regarding this issue. read more

Atlantic Station is one of my favorite communities and shopping areas in the city. I have no quarrels with the parking. It's typical for an intown shopping area. My favorite feature in Atlantic Station is not so much its shopping, but it's living. I enjoy the live, work, play lifestyle that Atlantic Station offers. read more

Atlantic Station offers lots of restaurants for all tastes and budgets. The Regal 16 has stadium seating and the chairs are comfortable. There are a couple of exhibit spaces, currently housing a Titanic exhibit (a bit pricey at $24, so make sure you find a discount on the internet before you go) and Bodies in Motion. Occasionally, traveling shows like Cirque du Soliel and Cavalia set up tents here. The shopping is no different than a mall, as the majority of the shops are chain retailers. Parking is free for the first 2 hours and the movie theater validates. It is easy to get to on MARTA with the connecting free shuttle service. I agree with some of the other posters that it draws a younger midtown/ downtown crowd that you would not see in the suburbs. WIth the proximity of Georgia Tech and Georgia State, one would expect this 20 something crowd. read more

Atlantic Station, a pretty cool place in Midtown Atlanta. It is comprised of restaurants, bars, retail stores, and a movie theater. The business there is moderately priced in multiple ranges. Fun for the whole family, there's even a small park area central. Atlantic Station is the type of place you could just go to hang out on an afternoon with nothing to do, good for people watching, for there are always people in the area. I have personally had drinks at STRIP and Yard House. Yard House has a House Belgian Amber Tripel that I like to order and the food is tasty, I've tried the buffalo wings and jambalaya. Nice hang out spot. Pretty. Music in the park some days. They also hold events there from time to time. A few places to shop, but not really a full "mall" as some might expect. A variety of places to eat, though some are pricy. The theater is the main reason I go. It's a very big Cinemark theater with an arcade inside (only accessible if you purchase a ticket). The parking is very well priced and stores/theaters often validate. Not to mention first 2 hrs are free. Watch your timing because while there are many entrance and exit booths, the roads are 1-lane, 2-way roads so leaving can be annoying. Crowded times are in the evening on weekends after movies let out. Also, it is very big, so try to remember landmarks and section numbers if you are not fortunate enough to park close to your destination. 3 stars because it is an [entirely] outdoor mall in GA. That means GA's sudden rain and scorching heat can make it a very uncomfortable destination during the summer and late spring. read more

I'm only giving one star because of the parking attendant, everything else is great. However, I'm never returning to Atlantic Station because of this experience. My boyfriend and I are regulars to the Yardhouse but we are rarely there for more than two hours, so we never have to worry about parking. On this day, when the parking garage was crazy busy.. we tried to pay at the exit which some of the signs directed us to. My fiancé is a Marine and we only bank with USAA. The rude male who was working on the call box around 7:45-8pm on a Saturday night told us to BACK UP, put on our hazards, and weave around roughly 15-20 cars who were behind us, all trying to use the exit because it is a busy Saturday night.. and all of this bc he told us to use an ATM because USAA is NOT ACCEPTED. He was extremely rude and his attitude towards a bank that is solely used by VETERANS and current MILITARY serving our country(and their families) who are risking their lives to keep us safe at home. After we were saying that it's not our fault that they don't accept USAA cards at the gate, and it would be extremely dangerous for us to back up around the swarm of cars that were behind us... THEN HE HUNG UP ON US. He made us back up, almost causing several accidents. My question for you sir is, do you really hate our military THAT much to cause so much inconvenience and trouble in a stressful situation that easily could have been easily resolved by lifting the gate? I am so sorry it was such a big deal to this parking attendant. I'm so sorry that we bank with USAA, who takes care of our military. read more

The movie theater does not have the best service. I paid to see black panther in 3D an hour before I got to the theater. When I got there there were no more seats and people were walking around and talking during the movie. People were also standing around. If I paid for two seats to see the movie, I should get two seats to see the movie. The good thing is I went to the manager and he gave me two free movie passes. But general I feel like they need to have security or someone who works for the cinema be a the theater door to check tickets. They also need to have reserve seating read more

Horrible. What happened to this place? I was just there for a Shop Atlanta event. I didn't feel safe the entire time. Parking was a nightmare and there are bunch of misbehaved teens running around which just made me nervous. The tough urban scene is not what I came for. There is a huge disconnect between the stores (Loft, Gap, West Elm, etc) and the people that loiter around. I think this place is going under (just like the underground....no pun intended) unless Atlantic Station starts to actually monitor it. More security, kick out the people who aren't actually shopping and just 'hanging' and maybe, just maybe, people will come back. This Candy Land has nothing to offer. White washed, plastic, zero character. In ten years they will have to tear it down, or it will fall down either one. Was it a good use of vacant land and an eyesore? Probably, but that doesn't take into account the flaccid architecture and meaningless corporate stores. If you are from out of town then you might enjoy it for it's convenience. If you live here then stay away. And I would be cautious when parking your car in the lower areas. Do not leave anything of value. Which brings me to my biggest gripe and that IS the people that stumble around buying nothing. Nothing worse than trying to have a drink in one of the "restaurants" and have to listen to someone next to you that apparently has not been out in several years or they've been in a coma. Stay away! Find somewhere else to go. Not much in Atlanta but better than this place. read more

I really like Atlantic Station. Anytime I have friends visiting in town, I always tell them to go to Atlantic Station just to experience it. When I have a Girls Night Out with friends, I always suggest Atlantic Station so that if someone doesn't want to dine at one restaurant, we can also walk to another one next door. I like to shop, dine, and watch movies here. I know for sure that Regal movie theater at Atlantic Station pays for your parking if you bring your parking ticket up to the movie theater and slide it into the machine before you walk out. I don't know about the other shops and stores there. If you dine or shop at Atlantic Station and don't want to pay for parking, just shop and dine for under two hours and it will be free. Anything after two hours, you will have to pay for parking. I think I paid $4 after my two hours were up. I was there for three hours. Just out of convenience, pay for your parking at the machines located at the bottom of some of the stairs so that you don't have to pay when you exit and have to reach far (like I do since I'm short) to pay for parking and have lines of cars behind you, waiting on you. Do NOT try to park at Target across the street. I had a friend who had their car towed after being at Atlantic Station just for two to three hours. Don't risk it! It's like $200 to get your vehicle back versus $4-$10 for parking at Atlantic Station. The parking (located underneath Atlantic Station) has two levels and even has valet parking. Part of parking is for residence parking for people who live at Atlantic Station. Parking is pretty packed on the weekends, especially at night, but you will still find a parking spot. You just won't find any near the stairs. Atlantic Station also hosts events such as movies in the summer on their lawn or ice skating in the winter time. I will continue to frequent Atlantic Station. read more
