An unhappy (but we'll cared for) cat
Erin P.

I've brought my cat here and my nanny family animals all go here! I can't speak highly enough about the staff! The veterinarians are qualified and put you at ease, I know my animals are safe with them! Their office is clean and comfortable!

Dr Erin was absolutely amazing! My poor little dog went to a different vet 3 times for significant pain. Dr Erin was able to quickly find it and treat it. The best part is that she got on the floor with my sweet boy to ease his doggy anxiety (he hates going to the vet.) This was the first time he wasn't shaking like crazy. :) The staff has been great as well - they answer the phone quickly and promptly answer any questions I have. Thank you!!

Insensitive (larger) front desk girl, very indifferent to a grieving family dropping off our recently passed dog. Seemed like she didn't want to answer any questions, like we were troubling to her. For a family verging tears, she was smirking and couldn't read a room if she had binoculars. Furthermore, don't come here to drop off your recently passed pets, or any service. They didn't even bring out the stretcher for a dead dog. Astoundingly depressing staff that needs to work on empathy, as you do represent your company.

Super glad we found this place (thanks neighbors!). Everyone has been so helpful and kind. We have had our dog and one of our cats in for a visit, and have been pleased with their level of caring. Today was a visit for our kitty Sebastian, who was having issues with peeing outside the box. We had a visit with Dr. John, who was friendly and very thorough in his exam and explanations of what we need to do to ensure Sebastian is ok. The office is clean and the front office staff works as quickly as they can to get everyone checked in, checked out, and in their way. Would recommended Atlantic Veterinary a hundred times over!

Our dog was itching & licking his fur to death. We usually use another clinic but this one came highly recommended. Just used them for the 1st time. Great staff, very helpful & friendly!

We had a great experience here. And I noticed this is one of the few Veterinarians that does not appear to be owned by Private Equity.

Friendly, compassionate, and thorough. Answered all of my questions and concerns. My dog actually felt comfortable with the doctor too.

Fast forward to 3 years old, she went into heat for the first time. I was very confused and wanted to make sure she's okay, so I brought her into Fort Caroline Animal Clinic. The receptionist, vet tech, and doctor were beyond sweet. The doctor listened to me explaining my dog's history and why I'm concerned and she also was concerned, confused, but I could also tell that she's invested in getting to the bottom of what's going on. She's getting records from the clinic that did my dog's surgery and we will be doing an ultrasound to see if she has a uterus and what's going on before having her spayed. As someone who works in the human medical field, I usually get frustrated with lack of explanations from vets and even my own doctors, but I found that Dr. Lincoln was very descriptive in what could be the problem (if there is one) and what she can do to get the answers and outcome we need. I'm a dog mom of 3 and have brought my dogs to many many different vets in several different states; the services my dog was provided and care that was received was the best I've ever witnessed. My dog is also shy, doesn't care too much for people other than me and Dr. Lincoln and the vet tech navigated this smoothly while getting her temp, checking her heart, and administering vaccines. The price was slightly higher than I'm used to, but the price was worth it, in my opinion, because I know 100% that they care for their patients and will do whatever is necessary to make sure their patients are healthy and receive great care. I couldn't recommend this vet clinic enough and will continue to bring all 3 of my babies here.

Dr.Katie arrived on time, very compassionate and so supportive. She talked us through the whole process and even allowed our other dog to join in saying our goodbyes. I have never done this before and it was extremely hard to make the decision to send Molly to heaven for her next life. If you ever do need her services of in home, compassionate pet euthanasia, I would strongly urge you to use her.

Because of her gentle guidance and unwavering kindness, we were able to help our sweet Piper transition with a calmness and love that felt almost sacred. When Dr. Melissa arrived at our home, she came with warmth, hugs, and the reassurance our breaking hearts desperately needed -- that we were making the right choice, at the right time, for our girl. She didn't rush a single second. She learned who Piper was, honored her spirit, and gave us all the space we needed to breathe, to cry, to hold on, and to let go. She walked us through every step with such tenderness, answering every question, easing every fear. In one of the most painful moments of our lives, she created a sense of peace we didn't know was possible. Having Dr. Melissa with us that day was a blessing we will never forget. She is, in every sense of the word, an angel. ~Jon & Julie

Both Dr. Hightman and Dr. Sadderson are not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and I've always felt my pets were in the very best hands with them. I've had lots of medical things come up with my Doberman and she's always been taken care of and all problems have been resolved. From anemia, to injuries, to random issues. I've seen some reviews mentioning rude front staff but that has never been my experience. Every time I've come in, the staff has been kind, helpful and welcoming. I think it's important to remember that kindness goes both ways. if you treat people with respect, you're much more likely to get it in return. Even if someone has a bad day, maybe just be kind regardless and see how that shifts the tone. The ladies at the office are actually my favorite to interact with, so I'm just really surprised why others would say otherwise. Over the years this clinic has consistently gone above and beyond for me and my pets. I'm so grateful to have a vet I can trust and a team that truly cares. I highly recommend them!

Okay; updated review. I've been to this clinic on 3 different occasions now…read more 1st: dogs needed vaccines. I was surprised that they only do paper records and do not offer pro-heart injections for heartworm prevention. They have a weird excuse of saying it doesn't work for dogs in this area or something. None of my other vets have had problems with Pro-heart. The paper records are SO hard to read due to handwriting and layout of the papers. Even yesterday, I couldn't even tell if my dachshund had his rabies shot updated because I couldn't read the handwriting; neither can other vets. 2nd visit: more vaccines. I wasn't seen until 55 minutes after my appointment time. The receptionist decided to spend about 3 minutes trying to argue with me that boxers cannot be black, so she must be mixed breed. I finally had to inform her what reverse brindle is. The place felt so outdated and not clean. My dachshund is one of those dogs that barks until you pet him. The doctor just stood in the doorway holding his ears for 30 seconds until I asked him to just reach down and pet him one time and he will stop barking. He did and barking stopped. I know, my dog should be trained and has been through lots of training, but that behavior still has yet to change. It is what it is. I went back last month because my dachshund had runny nose, itching, a rash, hot spots on his paws. These people took his temperature and it was 103 degrees (fever) and automatically assume it's the new canine virus going on. Absolutely 0 tests were done; no blood work, no skin scraping, no nothing. They gave us lots of Doxycycline and that's all. He finished the Doxy within 2-3 weeks and STILL had issues. He's practically crawling out of his skin. I took him to our old vet that we were going to stop using since we moved 27 minutes away. This vet immediately said "This all sound like allergies; im not sure why they said it's this canine virus." An allergy panel was done and we were given amoxicillin, allergy meds, prednisone, and a cytopoint injection. The allergy test results came back and he's allergic to lamb, beef, fish, peas, and pecan trees. He's been exposed to both pecan trees and peas, so this is likely the reason for his allergic reaction. When my fiancé called to tell them our dog is still itching bad with little improvement and asked why they didn't run any tests, the receptionist had a major attitude problem and said she'd put the doctor on the phone. Then we get a lady that claimed to not be the doctor. She started lying and saying "Oh, did your fiancé tell you he has fleas and he's allergic to them; that's why he's sick." I laughed. They never did an allergy test and checked for fleas. He had none and has been on Bravecto for years. The attitude these people have and their archaic approaches to veterinary medicine is just insanity to me. I can't believe this business is open and I honestly hate everything about them.
