Unfortunately I had a crack in my windshield due to road debris being kicked up by another car. I saw the reviews for Atlas and the name rung a bell. Years ago I had to replace my windshield in Orange County and a company named Atlas Auto Glass did an outstanding job. When I called the owner here in Redlands at this location if he was related I came to find out his son owned the Orange County location. Right then and there already knew I was in good hands. The owner came out and repaired my windshield and did an outstanding job despite my car having a tinted windshield. I needed to have my rear window replaced due to our gardener working nearby the car and a rock kicking up and breaking it. First off, this review should actually be 0 stars based on the service provided. I chose 2 stars because at least I got a new glass piece on my car. Now onto the actual work. I called and spoke to Sam who was very friendly on the phone and said he could get the work done on the same day. The work is for a 1998 Honda CR-V rear hatch window. Sam and his partner arrived on-site later than expected (30 mins after). They immediately got to work. About 40 minutes later, Sam called us out to explain some things. He informed us that he was afraid of completing the work because the shocks "we're bad" and that he might break the window if he tried to reinstall the shocks. He also explained that none of the molding could be reused and that they no longer "make it". There was broken glass ALL OVER the car and the floor. The window washing line was broken and there was electrical connections lines hanging in the back. The window windshield wiper was installed upside down (so now it wipes downward instead of the window). I've been in the automotive repair industry for a long time. I've also had professional window repair services done multiple times. NEVER have I had such a poorly done job. There has never been any broken glass left over and everything has always been put back together, in operating condition. Sam's excuse was that the car was old and that it's the best he could do. He kept saying, "at least the window stays closed." I don't know about you, but that is unacceptable. He did reduce the bill to charge me "glass only" which came out to $180. Honestly, I would have rather had him take his glass back and leave. I should have done that as I now have to either fix everything myself or call for another service and pay them all over again. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! Unless you want very bad work and a big headache from what was supposed to be an easy fix. Look at the pictures. They speak for themselves. read more

Probably one of the best experiences I've had with having my windshield replaced. Unfortunately noticed a large crack on my 2020 Jeep and needed it fixed same day. My rating is based solely on my interaction with Altas. I never had my windshield replaced. So I cannot comment on the quality or value of their work. I contacted Altas on Friday. Received a quote and scheduled an appointment for the following Tuesday morning. The gentleman was friendly, courteous and even sent a text message to confirm the appointment. I show up on Tuesday right on time. I am a very punctual person and recognize people have a business to run and shouldn't have to wait on me. However, no one is at the shop. I wait for about 10 minutes and call. The owner (presumably) answers his cell phone and says he's on his way but had to pick up glass. I wait another 15 minutes. It's now 5 minutes to 9 and I have a conference call at 9. So I leave and call the owner back to let him know I would have to reschedule. He apologizes and says he had an emergency; after he had just told me he was picking up glass. I guess it was an emergency glass retrieval?? I get that things happen, but this is a business and you have a phone. I should not be the one reaching out to ask where you are for an appointment you made at your shop. Proper etiquette is to be contacted and notified of the delay and given an opportunity to wait for arrival or reschedule. My time is extremely valuable. I have a hectic work schedule and travel almost weekly. I cannot sit and wait on someone who is 30 minutes late to work and cannot effectively communicate. I was offered a "discount" of $340 for my replacement due to the inconvenience. However, I called a mobile glass placement with over 400 reviews and 5 stars and YELP who offered the same exact price. Wow! Amazing service! Great price! So, I accidentally shattered the back windshield of my wife's car on Friday after 3pm. The earliest appointment in Coachella Valley was Tuesday.
