I came here for the monthly DC Plant Swap and I love the new location. It's finally big enough to efficiently service all their customers. I can't wait until baseball and soccer season start so that they hopefully get more business over here. I had both of their stouts and the higher alcohol one was marvelous. The bartender was very accurate in her description of how it coats your mouth and really sticks with you. The lower alcohol stout went down, really smooth and was easy to drink. If I had stayed longer, I probably would've got a flight to taste a few other ones. I really hope that they get food other than the burger place that's there because there's only three burgers and none of them are vegan or vegetarian. The burger place also does not have a large amount of side items for people to snack on and from what I gauge from the menu of Atlas, they don't appear to have any food items. For such a large dining room area I would expect there to be more options and since there aren't really a lot of restaurants in Anacostia, I really hope that they add food to the menu somehow. Otherwise you'll have to go across the bridge to get food if you don't want a non-vegetarian burger. From my time here in DC this will be their third location. I think it suits them better than the Ivy city location and I hope that people in Ward eight as well as people visiting the stadiums will stop past Atlas read more

This place is fantastic for before a game and great for a place to hang out with friends - I've been before National's game. It does fill up to standing room only, so definitely have to get here a little early if you want a table. There is a good beer menu available with several food options. The beers are enjoyable! Some points to note: - There is no table service - everything is ordered through the app. The food descriptions on the app are generally nominal (is the fried cauliflower battered? who knows!) - The food runners are hard to grab to ask questions to - I found the pizza just "bleh"... it's fine, but not something I look forward to having again - The kale salad was fine but very bitter - The fried cauliflower, which is not battered, came swimming in grease and generally not that flavorful - It can take awhile to get your bar drinks. There don't seem to be enough drink runners, causing a backup. Will I be back for my next National's game? Heck yeah, the beer is good and location is excellent. read more

Wow this place is standing room only before a DC United game. What an experience! I felt like I was in college again. I visited Atlas on a Saturday night and it was crowded. Luckily I scored a seat by watching like a hawk for someone to leave. As soon as I was seated I put in an order using the QR code at my table. I was really impressed with the service. With the brewery being so busy I was not expecting to get my drink or food in a timely manner. My beer came within minutes of submitting my order and the pizza came out not too long after. Additionally there was staff constantly circulating and bussing tables. The beer had great flavor and I love that they have a 7 oz pour option since I am not a heavy drinker. Their beer descriptions are also so detailed that it is easy to pick a drink without having to ask a bartender a million questions. I got the vegan margarita pizza by Andy's and was shocked how large it was! I was full after one slice and my husband had 3 slices and felt satisfied. The best part of this pizza is the vegan cheese. It is Vertage brand which is a locally made cheese and has a great creaminess and texture. I was underwhelmed by the pizza crust. It was a great thickness and cooked well, but it lacked flavor. I am still happy that this business offers a satisfying vegan option. I wish they could offer this pizza by the slice because I am not sure I would want to order this large of a pizza again for just 2 people. After the DC United game started the brewery emptied out. I recommend if you do not want to fight the crowd, then plan your visit to the brewery way before or after a DC United or Nationals game begins. read more

If you find yourself in Navy Yard, please do yourself a favor and come get a slice of pizza and a beer! They have an amazing happy hour (beer and 2 slices for less than $15), a lively ambiance, and a long list of beers on tap. They have delicious Napolean style pizza and super flavorful wings (Old Bay Seasoning). Despite being a sports bar, they had high chairs and didn't mind me having my toddler. If I'm ever craving pizza, Atlas is my go-to because they offer Andy's Pizza (my fave) by the slice. Since I try to mostly eat healthy, when I do crave pizza a slice is all I need and quite honestly, there are not that many places that offer delicious pizza by the slice. At Atlas, I can quickly order a slice to walk out with it on the way back home. Or from time to time, I may order a slice and eat it with a draft beer outside. It's usually a pretty quick and easy transaction unless there it's the weekend or when a Nat's game is going on. If that's the case, the wait time can be quite significant. Last I dropped by, I think it took about 30 minutes for my one slice of pizza to come out! Additionally, when ordering outside I had to order on my phone by scanning a barcode. Whatever system that it is, it automatically opens up a "tab" which will not close out unless you make it clear. Although I normally tip 20%, I was surprised to get home and receive a notification around their closing time that because I did not close out my "tab" (on my phone) that I would be charged the 20% gratuity fee...so just be mindful of that. If you like thin, crisp pizza that is flavorful but not too greasy then I think you will enjoy Andy's Pizza at Atlas! read more

Not one to leave bad reviews BUT after I saw two people smoke cigarettes on the patio, I lit a cigar. The cigarette smokers were two men. I am a woman. I was immediately chastised and basically asked to leave by staff. Again, this was outdoors and after men were smoking. Also, didn't see any signs. How you treat patrons matters. We enjoyed our first visit to Atlas. My husband, a beer aficionado, rated their beers 3-4 out of 5. He'd hoped for a broader diversity of style. His favorite of those he sampled was Silent Neighbor, a 2023 world beer cup gold medal winner. I tried the blood orange gose and thought it was very drinkable. A great choice for those who prefer a light, fruited sour style beer. I liked that we could order pizza by the slice, allowing all in our group to choose our preferred perfect slice. :) TVs played sports for those interested, but it wasn't the focus. Our server and all who stopped by our table to deliver food or clear used glasses were great. Atlas is definitely worth the stop both for beer tasting and for a fun place to hang out for a while. read more

Oh no! I found the atmosphere and the beer selection to be great, however the experience was destroyed by the customer service. I left my coat on my chair and went to the restroom after my second beer. When I came back, beer glass, glass of water, and my coasters were gone. Did they think I left? Do they want me gone? Let me see how things play out! Currently, the bartender has not yet acknowledged my return. On this relatively slow Monday night, she's serving other customers, while seemingly ignoring me. Now she's watching television as I sit at a bar without a beer. I am impressed by her dedication to making people feel uncomfortable. She is again serving folks at the bar while ignoring me. I am so embarrassed, I want to leave but am sticking it out for the review. Ah! She finally came by and after an excruciating delay flatly asked if I wanted anything else. Of the breweries I've frequented, this type of review is incredibly rare. Typically, bartenders at breweries are stewards of the product, taking folks through a tasting experience interactively. It's a core part of the job, investing regulars and visitors in their bespoke product. However, the bartender working tonight on 27 Jan 2025 would rather be any place but here. I had an amazing experience at another venue last night, watching the Kansas City Chiefs play the Bills for the AFC Championship. They were incredibly polite, thanking each customer as they left and asking them to return. In this venue, next to a ballpark, I suppose they can afford to treat customers with lazy disdain. This venue is the exact opposite of that experience. If you're in town on a visit, if you are a beer aficionado, and if you are touring local breweries, DO NOT WASTE A NIGHT on this venue. Stopped in here for a quick bite before going to the nationals game. They have plenty of seating if you want to watch a game. They have a full list of beers but also offer cocktails and spirits as well. I got their margarita it was perfect to sip on a hot day. They also offer pizza which you can get by the slice or a whole pie. I really enjoyed their pizza it came out piping hot and made with fresh ingredients. Blonde female bartender at ATLAS will ask you if you want to open up a tab. You tell her you do not want too and she will open up one for you anyhow. Then you have a extra charge on your debit card and then you have to have to wait a few days for the money to go back into your account. Blonde bartender is not very friendly and likes to ignore customers. Atlas needs to stop asking customers if they want to open up a tab or they close you out right away because they are afraid someone is not going to pay. read more

One of my go-to places when you just want to grab a drink on the fly. The outdoor space is good, mostly because you are not next to a busy street. Servers are always friendly and quick. They do a great job cleaning up/disinfect after people leave. Their happy hour special of slice of Andy's pizza with a beer!?! Totally worth the visit. Great pizza and good beer, they should advertise that more. Can get crowded on game days and service declines, but if you time your trip right, you won't be disappointed. This is a cool spot if you like a decent variety of beer and delicious pizza slices. I'm not much of a beer guy anymore but used to live Double IPA's. You're kind of limited when it comes to those here. Overall, I'm not a fan of Atlas beer but the bar service is always good and the pizza is really good. This Atlas Brew Works location is partnered perfectly with Andy's Pizza, fused seamlessly like actual beer and pizza. My friend and I sat at the bar to enjoy our beer and pizza for this visit - we have made several visits, though mainly sitting on the "Andy's Pizza" side so to speak. We watched some of the Celtics game from one of the many large television screens where a variety of sports were playing from each screen. We had a Pub Pass to use so we were able to get a free beer with our meal. We chose Atlas' Festbier, a german-style lager on tap. Such a great beer and goes with pretty much anything. Our bartenders were great and the pizza was brought out promptly. We each had a slice of the carnivore, my favorite! Give me all the meat! And of course, we had to get a side of their skinny and perfectly crisp fries. This place is our go-to for friends and family who come in to town to visit. It's a quick 10minute walk from our home and it's such an easy place to bring them to after they've had a long day of travel. The atmosphere is a good crowd with a noise level as you'd expect with lots of sports on several televisions, beer being served at almost every table, and in the summertime, when it's really nice outside, you can enjoy all of this from the comfort of their patio seating. Very easy to order at the bar and there was a good amount of seating considering the amount of people there. I got a great seat right at the window - perfect for people-watching. Service was horrible. I called to order a pizza for kids I am watching and I. First, I was told the pizza was going to be delivered at 6:30 ish and I was like okay no biggie, they are near by like 6 mins away from my house and and hour passed by, so i called the place and their calls kept dropping, until the EIGHTH call went through and I left a voicemail then boom i got a notification about the driver is on his way to pick up the pizza. So naturally, once again I was like no big problem it said it would be arriving in a few minutes but boy was that wrong. I was left hanging with hungry kids, no pizza, no response from either the driver who would hang up my calls and the restaurant who did the same and there was no way of contacting them whatsoever because the calls would get dropped every few calls. It had been another 40 something minutes on top of the hour. I naturally kept calling because the kids were hungry and one large pizza with fees and tip to the delivery guy was almost $40. I didn't want to spend money on a pizza i did not have. It appalls me how a restaurant with such great reviews, can have such low customer service. I understand it's a pub as well and I personally have worked in establishments where they also had orders for deliveries and a running bar, which is why it means a lot for me to write this review. I didn't even get a call back or an update from anyone. Just put yourself in my shoes, you order from a place not even 10 mins away, wait almost 2 hours on a simple order, and they don't have the decency to answer their phone when it's stated "if you have any issues please call us..." and why even call if they won't answer or even worse drop your calls. As a customer it makes you feel as an inconvenience to buy anything in their place. Moral of all this DONT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE. They've got a new system for "to go" orders. I'm not sure they found a solution in search of a problem. We've been going for years. Place our order. They bring it to us at the bar. Now, there's a line. And more than triple the time. I finally asked and they checked. "It would be another 20 minutes." Okay, here's a lesson in customer service. When a customer has been waiting too long for the order, just go back and put it together. And give them a $10 discount on their next order. Nope. Just follow the computer. So, I cancel the order and you may have lost a long-time customer because you have no idea how to handle customer support. read more

Um, yeah if you like pizza and beer then you'll love it here. Not sure I need to type more but since the app says "Don't leave us hanging", I guess I'll keep going. We sat outside, which was perfect! Contactless ordering and payment. Distanced picnic tables. The drinks and food came really quickly. Also, I love a restaurant that has a good playlist. Atlas delivered. We ordered sausage and pepper slices, old bay fries, and kale salad. Very satisfied with the portion sizes and quality of the food. The pizza was delicious! The crust was perfectly crisp and thin. The sauce is sweet and unlike a lot of pizza, it was not oily. The old bay fries are a must! Perfectly fried and seasoned. Get the ranch dipping sauce with them! The best beer we had: The Precious One. It's an IPA with a surprisingly smooth finish. Not bitter like a lot of IPAs. We'll be coming back. And I'd suggest you plan a visit ASAP. read more

Have been a beer club member since they started their club. Great beers, always a wide variety of types as well. You can definitely find something you like. Great outdoor and indoor seating, fantastic for groups. Only complaint is the service has gotten worse recently -- thought it was just me but other friends have complained as well. Seems like they have enough people working there but folks are doing stuff not customer facing. One example, Ive definitely watched our tables drinks sit on the counter as folks chatted. Wow! Good beer and great music. This is some of the best beer in the entire DMV area. Bartender and waiters were on top of it! Place was packed and a lot of people singing along to whatever song was playing. The next door pizza (inside but different business) is fantastic. They kicked us out saying we couldn't sit with cans on their patio. Because they were in cans not mugs I guess. So, we moved to steet off their property. Same idiot bouncer with a masters degree in regretting life decisions said we had to leave the street. The street! Not sure if the dude thought he was a police officer or not but he clearly had some inadequacy issues going on. We ignored him because, again, we were off property down the street, and waited for pizzas to be ready, grabbed them, and left. Terrible security personnel. We've been going to the original location since it opened-- great staff and atmosphere. This location by the ballpark seems more geared to transactional customers firing up before ballgames. Service at the bar was poor and evidently preferred visitors from the suburbs. All our favorite bars are short staffed these days so we aren't starting out with unreasonable expectations, but this place had plenty of staff and service still poor, though we really wanted to love it.
