I always enjoy a visit to Aslin. The beer is tasty and this spot has a nice outdoor space, perfect for the spring or fall. When I had a remote job, this was a great place to work. Where I could sit outside and enjoy a coffee during the day and a nice happy hour special as the day stretched on. The atmosphere is nice and it has a nice energy with the many others who join at the communal tables and TV sets that line the walls. It's a nice neighborhood spot. There was a table set up with Blossom beverages with tastings of their espresso martini. We also got drinks at the bar and hung out chatting and listening to the dj. Apparently the food is at other sites then delivered, Chicken & Whiskey plus an Asian restaurant. Some baked goods seemed available. I ordered inside, which was weirdly hot for 7 pm, and I hope the worker conditions are OK. The Blüm 2022 was a rosé, but looked and tasted like a fruity refreshing white. I love Aslin's Volcano/Super Volcano Sauce Sour. It is my favorite sour hands down. This location is nice, they sell coffee as well as beer/sours on tap. There is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine. We came for pi day, to be honest I felt this was just a way to get people in the door. No incentive really. No special beer or deals. The pizza place they partnered with was good but charged $8 for a small square per piece. It got really busy the longer the day went on with some rowdy people in the line waiting to get in. Overall, I think most days this place is chill and a nice vibe. I don't know if I would come back for an "event" they're hosting though. If you haven't tried it, give volcano sauce a go! read more

Came for a fundraising event and had a great time! Aslin has plenty of space so it's a great place for an event. The environment is extremely casual -- not necessarily much of a vibe as there isn't really music playing or any particular type of energy but it's a very easy place to hang around a talk. There are a few televisions playing a variety of sports but with the sound off so again, not necessarily a vibe. No food options but very close to restaurants that deliver and you can bring your own food in. The beer itself is great. I tried volcano sauce which is a blueberry vanilla sour -- super tasty. My only area for improvement is line management. The lines here are long for no reason because they don't have a menu posted anywhere meaning you have to wait til your at the register to read the menu and order. As a result it takes forever for people to order. Staff are really friendly and manage to keep the lines moving fairly quick despite this bottleneck but they could just post a menu on the screens above the bar and it would solve that problem. Its also a coffeebar / co-working space so all around a nice place for a variety of purposes. read more

My favorite beer in DC, with a lot of very fun and innovative drinks. Also shoutout to the artist(s) who designs their cans. Biggest downside is it can get incredibly packed and loud there and can be hard to find seating, but that's not so much their fault since it's in a prime location. Food: beer really, their sours are so good! I basically only get them when I am here, but the taste is perfect. Not too sour, fruity, or sweet, which is perfect. Well balanced and such a fun color. As a sour ale fan, Aslin has been on my radar ever since they opened in Virginia ten years ago. They consistently brew more than two sour ales and now they are in Washington, D.C. Along popular 14th Street NW, this location is on a corner with lots of room. Fully fenced off from the street, there are long tables and indoor and outdoor seating. Scan the QR code on the table or walk inside to pay at the register. They let you sample their beers. If you love sour ales, the Arctic Sauce is excellent! This place gets so packed, but it's a great spot for some good beers in Logan Circle. My friend and I ordered a couple half pours from the outside bar. A couple knowingly cut the line and announced their justification, so it would be helpful if they could have clear queues somehow, though who knows if that's possible considering the limited space. We found a ledge to sit on after getting our beers. A dog had its own adirondack chair, which was perplexing given the state of the space. Some people have no situational awareness, I swear. Had some chicken tenders and fries from the truck. Nothing special but it hit the spot. A lot of people were getting huge fried chicken sandwiches. They looked good. I popped into aslin after dinner last night - it's kind of a funny spot! The signage & inside ambiance give a kind of gas station vibe which was a little off putting at first. Aslin is a very fun brewery! I came here with my wife and a few friends while in town for a conference and we really enjoyed our time here. The brewery has a large biergarten with many, many tables, so finding a place to sit wasn't too bad even on a busy weekend day. Service was great and they have an online ordering system (in addition to normal counter service), so it was very nice to peruse the menu and try a bunch of half pours so we could try more of their selections. The beer was great and they have a variety of styles, so there's something for everyone. They had a food truck present when we came, so it was nice to have a food option available. I really like this place, and wish I lived closer. I was in the area on a Monday morning, and didn't realize that they sold coffee in the mornings as well as beer in the afternoons! I ordered a large decaf oatmilk latte, and it was really tasty--smooth, and not bitter at all. Only the inside was open for serving--assuming because it was morning, fall, or both--but there is an outdoor bar with a ton of seating for casual meetups and a couple rows of Adirondack chairs where you can watch whatever is on TV at the time. Aslin Beer Company is quickly becoming our go-to hangout spot. We went at 6pm on a Wednesday and there was plenty of seating available. The biergarten is quite spacious and has a festive, laid-back atmosphere, with string lights, vivid murals, some canopy covering, and lots of picnic tables (perfect for larger groups of 4+). Ordering by QR code was incredibly easy, but the best part is that you can also order food via QR code from Doi Moi and Chicken + Whiskey nearby, and they'll deliver it right to your table (!). Aslin has a wide range of beers: I had the Esperante (light, citrusy) and Volcano Sauce (a berry sour), both delicious, but my favorite of the evening was Apizza!, which a friend ordered and which has a really complex, tropical, coconut-y set of flavors. Came to Aslin Beer Company on a recent visit to the DC. The space is huge and super cool. It's a brewery that also has a coffee shop inside. Came on a Friday evening so it was quite busy. It was. A bit of a challenge to find a seat. You can either order at the bar or you can scan and have the brews brought to you. There is no food offered but you can order from a few local restaurants by scanning at your table and it's delivered to you. Great options to have in case you want a bite! There were so many dogs which was amazing to people watch and dog watch haha. It's mostly outdoor seating with a couple seats in their inside/cafe area. The beers were delicious.
