It was thE wife's birthday and she wanted to try something new. After a quick yelp search she found Atlas and they had amazing reviews. Of corse we said we'll be the judge of this place let's go! The location was great far away from 104 but not too far away. Inside was pretty small bbt it looked like there was another area thaT opened up? When you walk in you pass by all the delicious looking baked goods. We were tempted but decided to have a seat and eat. The menu was pretty small with not much of a selection but they had everything you need like pancakes, scrambled eggs, sandwiches and more. I ordered the breakfast scrambler that came with the must beautiful fluffy eggs, tomatoes and spinach with some toast. It was the perfect amount of food. I need more places like this. That tell me how much is enough or else I'll end up eating too much and feeling awful when leaving. My wife's pancakes were amazing as well with real maple syrup. It worth a stop in and it can be on the hipster side but some amazing food will be had nonetheless. We will return for some hanger steaks! read more

This is one of my favorite brunch spots to go to when I visit Rochester! Small, local, and fresh food. I always get the kimchi pancakes and this time I got some macarons, too. Both did not disappoint. They don't take reservations that I know of. First come, first serve. And everyone in the party needs to be present in order to be seated. Since the place is so small, you'll be sitting pretty close to other tables. They have a lot of tables in a small space, which isn't my personal hell, but for some people it may be, so just a warning. The prices are fair, I think. The service is ok. I like to think I'm understanding, since they were super busy on a weekend morning during brunch, but the waiter was kind of on the slower side. It wasn't an issue, though. Overall, though, I think their service is good. Maybe it was just that day. I've always heard good things about their dinner menu and I absolutely love that they do dishes from around the world! I FINALLY got here... what a fabulous hidden gem. If you did not know about it or use your GPS you would drive right by.. it's in a very residential neighborhood. I met a few people for brunch and we got a great deal of things to share. FYI no reservations unless you are doing the edibles menu (and that's certain Weekend Nights) during the week brunch your gonna wait. I'm gonna say this now the only reason it's not a FIVE STAR REVIEW is cause well it was warm in the restaurant.. like sweat running down our backs sweaty. I understand the kitchen is front and center and people are sitting outside.. but this was not a pleasurable experience. I must have drunk two pitchers of water and my group did talk about it among ourselves. Please try to keep the place cool during the Summer. Food.. it was interesting, different and tasty.. Kimchi Pancakes YES! Kimchi Fried Rice HELLA YAS. They must make their stuff in house it's perfect that kimchi. We had Eggs & Bacon on Cheddar Biscuits YUM GET U those or at least the biscuits. We've now attended a weekend dinner dining experience in addition to multiple brunches. I can confidently report that this is my FAVORITE restaurant of all places I've ever been. That's a big statement. I don't throw it around lightly. We were transported to Italy for a stunning 5 course meal pre-selected by the chef. I wouldn't want it any other way. You sit back and trust that it's going to be a magical, delicious experience. In a scenario like that I don't want a menu- I want the professional to be calling the shots. The wine menu gives you a little control, but we surrendered and asked for suggestions, which worked out superbly. And we added the optional veal dish to our dinner. The flavors are heavenly. The experience is so romantic- just an intimate little shop. And the staff are all wonderful, genuinely good people. And you get to meet the chef- and he's awesome. In the most down-to-Earth, likable kind of way. It radiates that he loves to do this. And I feel like it must be some huge secret that he could actually go to New York or London etc and be some huge success. But fortunately he's in Rochester. Lucky us!! read more

After much hype amongst the casual diners and elites alike, I stopped in the for lunch with a friend. In this small and quaint restaurant riddled with themes of world maps and globes, the ambiance made me feel like I was eating lunch in a classroom. And appropriately, I totally got schooled. Big time. Atlas Eats will teach you what the level food presentation and quality needs to be in this town. I opted for the Tomato Basil soup, which was nothing but divine. Even the flower tasted good (I'm supposed to eat that right?). For lunch I ordered the Korean Fried Rice with Egg and Tofu. After staring at it in awe for about 10 minutes, I mixed up that bibimbob with the guilt of ruining such beauty. However, that guilt was easily washed away while I indulged on that flavorful and spicy rice, fresh and crunchy veggies, and firm tofu. Oh boy that was delightful. Looks are deceiving because the dish was so abundant that I couldn't finish half of it. My friend partook on the Chicken Caprese on homemade Ciabatta Bread: Just WOW. I was fortunate enough to have a friend willing to share a piece (thanks Rose V). Chewing from that rich cheesy layer, through the juicy chicken and finally to the crispy bread was a trifecta-induced foodgasm. I know what I'm getting next time! However, once they reached their destination, they were transported, round "with flavor" trip, to a gustational tour of Italy, Korea, Portugal, France, and New Orleans (ok maybe no stamp here). All by way of Atlas Eats' Edible Atlas dinner series. Atlas Eats is a culinary gift to Rochester, NY. It looks like your neighborhood friendly bakery and kitchen, with tables sprinkled about, and globes and maps on the walls. During the day, you can purchase bakery treasures like a huge slice of carrot cake, that I'm pretty sure is considered a salad due to all of the carrots and nuts comprising the delicious cake. You can also order breakfast and lunch, during which time I enjoyed the best veggie burger with quinoa ever eaten. By anyone. On Fridays and Saturdays, 6:00 pm or 8:30 pm, is Edible Atlas, a five-course transformative, elegant, and deliciously affordable dinner experience that rotates every two weeks. Grab your reservations (only 22 seats) and appetites because each course is generous. Yet, all five fit comfortably inside the belly. It's a tasting menu of the flavors of a country, city, or region, and a feast for the eyes. Make your reservation time, as the room is all served at the same time. Each course is presented beautifully. During the recent tour of France, my chocolate cake was adorned with edible gold leaf. While taste-traversing New Orleans, a bright red crawfish accompanied the étouffée. It was a most comforting and delicious seafood stew with rice, and I was honored to meet the acquaintance of the crawfish who contributed himself to the dish. The five courses progress from either appetizers or variety platters of "amuse-bouche" sized samplings, to hearty soups, to proteins of steak, chicken, or fish, to delightful desserts. Each dish reflects the country or region of the evening's tour. Finally got in to enjoy a 6 pm seating at Atlas Eats this past Friday night. I had literally tried to get in for several months with larger groups, and was lucky to get in solo for the French Country Picnic dinner. At 6 pm, the place has nice light, and if you get a seat with a view of the kitchen you can be easily entertained by the chefs as they plate all the dinners. The interior has a comfy kitchen feel and all the staff are on their toes, attentive and friendly. For the French Country Picnic, the 5 courses contained all my faves: local seasonal veggies, edible flowers, beautiful plates and inspired combinations! I'm not sure it's really necessary to fully describe my dining experience since they have an excellent reputation, but I'll mention a few things. First, if you think you want to eat here, I think it would be safe to reserve well in advance even though the menu changes every couple weeks and you won't know what you are going to be eating. I don't know how you can go wrong. You could always cancel or reschedule as the menu is posted. Second, like them on FB to be among the first to get notice of their new menu. Third, you can get wine, beer and some limited cocktails here - they will run you in the neighborhood of $7 for a cocktail. When I went, they had a chambery spritz on offer with lemon and strawberry, it was sweet but light and lovely. Fourth, park on the street in front, on the side street or in the back lot. You can enter through the back as well. Fifth, if you are going there from the city - take 590N to 104W - it's faster! Sixth, make friends in the place! The seating is intimate with close tables; the night I was in I was alone and the couple seated next to me started up a conversation that carried us through all the courses over the 2 hrs we were there. Very friendly people there that night, and it added to the overall experience. Last, the selection of desserts and sweet treats (brownies, cookies, cake, lamingtons, etc etc) for sale in the bakery portion should not be overlooked...especially if you want to take a little of the experience home with you! I came here for Sunday breakfast/lunch. The place was busy as expected for a Sunday afternoon. The place is very small and there not a lot of standing room. I ordered the ranchero roll which is my favorite and go to. The flavors of the fresh salsa mixed with the spinach, egg, and focaccia was amazing, very light and refreshing. My fiancé ordered the sausage gravy biscuit. The gravy wasn't too heavy like most places. He loved his dish and he always orders it. I enjoy watching the staff cook in the kitchen or watching them make fresh banquettes or desserts. They have pancakes specials every week. Atlas offers a different menu for dinner on the weekends based on the country they choose which lasts for several weeks. It is a very great experience with a preset menu. This is definitely a hidden spot tucked away in a residential area. I highly recommend this place! read more

If you're a foodie, this place is like heaven. How many restaurants do you know that offer delicious food across the globe all at one location? It really displays the high caliber of the talented chef and staff. This cozy and intimate restaurant is a hidden gem within the residential neighborhood of West Irondequoit. I had the opportunity to join the Edible Atlas Dinner Series featuring Ireland. It was a five-course meal, including dessert - Irish rarebit, salt cod chowder & champ, cockles & mussels with roasted potatoes, slow roasted shoulder of lamb with colcannon & sticky carrots, and a four berry soup with buttermilk custard topped with bailey's oatmeal crumble. Each dish was unique and plated with great care. I thought the lamb dish to be average, but there was one that stood out the most, the four berry soup. The dessert was perfectly balanced in the blast of tart and sweetness as well as the texture of 'soup', custard, and crumble. It was the best way to end the meal, saving the best for last. The friendly and personable servers were rotating from table to table to serve the group as each course was completed. Even the chef came out to serve some dishes and made it a point to go to each table himself. The time in between each course was just right. I don't recall feeling like I was waiting for the next dish or that I was rushed to finish either. I can't rave enough about my delightful experience - the food was tasty and aesthetically appealing; the staff was cordial and efficient; it was obvious that this is the chef's passion and he takes great pride in delivering the best of his best. It's not only the food but also the small things, like the well-organized and timed service rotations, how carefully each dish was plated, how the chef graciously served each table, and the excitement in his voice after we praised his insanely delectable dessert. These folks love what they do and give to others. I highly recommend joining the experience. Sold on them for brunch, I made a reservation for that weeks Korean dinner. The staff are so friendly. My yelp was spotted and Diane (thanks Breanna B) acknowledged it warmly. In between servings we got up to chat with the lady in the bakery, and place a sweets to go order. Since we like to make the rounds chatting people up we were invited next door to a new little pottery and woodworking studio. When they are up and running it will be a great little spot to be creative and then munch or vice versa, munch and create. Anyway the much anticipated dinner was divine. Course one was a variety of small bites: black beans, kim chi, omelet, bean sprouts and collards. Each was wonderful alone, but also fun to pair up into nifty combos. Course two and three were toss ups for our favorites. Two was a hot pot of silken tofu, veg and house made pickled cabbage. My most favorite dish ever was a kim chi bouillabaisse at this little place in Brooklyn. This soup had the same depth of flavor and a bit of heat. The tofu was tender, the mushrooms soaked up all the savory, saltiness and provided a meaty bite. Course three was scallion pancake with shrimp. The usual heavy, oily, scallion pancake you get around these parts was missing and in its place was a light pancake topped with shrimp and green onion, and topped again with a perfectly done quail egg. Topping the top of a top, I thought their chicken eggs were done perfectly egggggcellent. Course four was bbq beef with green tea rice. I picked up my knife to cut the beef HA HA HA! no need, just use your fork, it was so tender. Course five was half moon rice cakes with cinnamon ginger punch. The broth was perfectly fall, the rice cake filling was a bit like a nut butter, sometimes sticking to the roof of your mouth. The colors were really artfully done, like fall leaves purple and green in a brown background, with a little yellow ginger moon (see the pic) reminded me of a fall forest reflected in water. I recommend purchasing the wines that are paired with the meal, they were both excellent and went nicely with each course. Thanks, for a great meal. We had heard the rave reviews for Atlas so I am not sure why it took us so long to eat here. We checked out the dinner menu on-line ahead of time, liked what we saw, and made our reservation for dinner on Friday night (which is essential given there are only about 26 seats). They change the dinner menu every two weeks so if you see something you like you need to act fast. All five courses on the night we dined were excellent. We all commented that it gave us the chance to try some dishes we might not normally order. I thought the first course of salmon pastrami style was the best and others thought the seared scallops with kimchi butter was the best. The detail with which each course was prepared was wonderful. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented (see photos). And did I mention the 4-5 different fresh breads? Awesome! The staff and owner were super friendly and very helpful at explaining each dish in a non-pretentious manner (we've been to a couple of restaurants that must pride themselves on the snootiness of their attitude - not here). The fixed menu is $39/person which is not bad for the quality of the food - if you are a big eater you might be disappointed but we weren't. Beverages are extra. We also learned they serve lunch and breakfast (we have to come back for the kimchi pancakes!). We have already talked this place up to other friends and plan to be back soon! read more

What a lovely experience I had recently at Atlas Eats! This small place in an unassuming area is filled with eclectic treats for the tastebuds. The menu reflects the international decor, and I saw everything from handmade cavatelli to kimchi fried rice. I had a huge breakfast so I went with their kale salad of the day, which included Kalamata olives, feta, cucumbers, radishes, vinaigrette, and some amazing croutons. It was plenty filling, but I couldn't resist one of their many baked goods for dessert. The owner suggested a Lamington, an Australian dessert of yellow cake, chocolate, and coconut. It wasn't huge but it packed a punch - the perfect sweet end to the meal. It's such a cozy spot with great energy and even better food. I can't recommend it enough! read more

I've brunched and lunched here many a times and it truly is a local Rochester favorite. It's a small space that gets packed quickly so be prepared to wait. The portion sizes are on the smaller size so if you have a big appetite, I'd recommend getting a starter, like the kimchi pancake (savory) or whole wheat pancakes (sweet). The kimchi pancakes are a unique offering and one of their top dishes. Once you've carb-loaded, then it's on to the entree round. I am a big fan of their biscuits so I always get the biscuits and gravy or egg and bacon on a cheddar biscuit. You really can't go wrong with anything though, especially the baked goods! read more

I visited Atlas Eats for the first time for their New Orleans themed pre-fixe dinner. I had read so much about these dinners and loved the concept. New Orleans is my absolute favorite city and I could wait to the Atlas menu and their interpretation of New Orleans food! When we arrived we were told to pick our seat and someone took our coats and stored them away in the back. As other guests arrived we waited at our table but weren't greeted by anyone for 10 minutes. People around us got their drink orders, an introduction to the menu, and we just... sat there. I figure it might have been just a miscommunication with server lineup, but it felt weird. The service was ok once it got rolling but I felt like our table was always an afterthought. The food at Atlas was good, but definitely not as great as I had expected. The first course, the Crawfish Boulette, had too much breading and I didn't get the taste of much else. The steak was ok, but besides the maque choux, I wasn't sure why this was on the menu. The stars of the menu were the shrimp and grits and the pecan pie square. The pecan pie square was amazing! Our server dropped the bill, we paid, and then overheard her telling the next table that gratuity was already included in the bill. Well, we had already included 20% on top of our check! We didn't want to be those people who removed the tip, but it would have been nice to know it was already included! All in all, I'd visit again, but maybe for a dinner where I'm not so familiar with the type of cuisine. Having just come back from New Orleans 2 weeks ago, this meal just didn't compare :( read more

The great: Food is amazing. Loved the unique menu and the meal I got. Coffee was great too. We got some sweet treats to go which were so delicious. The not so great: Not a lot of space for waiting, but it is a small place. When I was there I was told there is a policy that they cannot seat the table until everyone is there. My husband and father-in-law were just outside waiting cause there was no space inside to stand around. When the table was ready they would not seat me until they came inside, even tho I said they is literally outside the door and I just had to text him to come in. I could understand if they weren't even on the premises yet but they were just outside the building. We were sat at a very tiny table. 3 people at basically a small 2-person bistro table. My husband and father-in-law are both 6'2" so it was a tight squeeze. I was surprised all our plates, coffee and water even fit.. barely. Not much to be said that hasn't already been told! This place is great. Tucked away almost hidden in Irondequoit near the zoo, its small, but they have a good system for moving people through. We didn't wait longer than 15 minutes for brunch at noon on a Sunday. The atmosphere is sweet--high ceilings and lots of natural light. There were fresh flowers on every table. I had the whole wheat pancakes--the pancake special that day included raspberries and blackberries. The pancakes were light and fluffy and just sweet enough with the addition of syrup. My fiancé got the egg and bacon biscuit. This bacon was the real deal--thick cut and salty, piled high atop a runny egg. The biscuit was sturdy enough to support the sammy without being too crunchy. Nom. Despite the food being top notch, you won't pay outrageous prices to taste it. Our brunch cost us about $15 total which is better than most mid- to high-quality places around here. Wow, all I can say is that. Yea the place is dead in the middle of a neighborhood but its nice that its not in a crowded area. I can only judge them on their Sunday brunch so far but I'm sure the rest of their menus won't disappoint. Of course being once a week they have a Sunday brunch it is packed, and no reservations can be made so first come first serve but the wait isn't very long. About 10 mins or so for it being super busy. When you walk in the ambiance is just casual and the decorations of the maps, and clocks really make it known that you're eating at Atlas Eats not some restaurant in Rochester. Its truly a gem. Service is nice, it seems as if they all help out one another we didn't have one server the whole time. But to get to the food, the whole wheat pancakes. Litteraly melt in your mouth. They are fluffy, have a little crisp and taste like perfection I would highly recommend if you ever get the chance. I also had the ranchero roll with a fried egg, salsa, avocado, some greens, sour cream and some sort of bread. What do you say about Atlas Eats that hasn't already been said? I'm not sure if my review will add on to the wonderful experience that is going to Atlas. But I'll try anyway. Atlas Eats is tucked away in a small building on N. Clinton, right over the Irondequoit border. It's really easy to go right past it if you don't know what you're looking for. Luckily, if you're going to Atlas, you're definitely headed that way for a reason. Park in the back and head inside for one of the best restaurant experiences you've ever had. I give full credit to Mel B. for introducing me to Edible Atlas, the rotating dinner series that transports you around the world in five courses. My first trip took me to Israel and the Middle East and I was hooked from the first bite. Other favorites include farm to table tapas, Spain and Morocco, and the ever-popular Italy. By the end of each dinner, I can't decide on just one favorite. The first course is usually an appetizer, second is soup or salad, third is typically a grain, fourth is the main course (meat or fish), and finally, the fifth course is dessert. You'd think that it would be hard to eat five courses in one seating, but as long as you pace yourself, you won't have any issues. Always keep in mind that you need to save room for dessert here! Recently I was able to come for lunch, so I finally feel as though I can really review Atlas Eats in a complete sense. I highly recommend the lentil and quinoa burger, which comes with tzatziki and may as well have been created especially for me, that's how amazing it is. It's really wonderful to experience Atlas during the daytime, there's so much light in the dining area and you definitely can't drive past the restaurant as easily as you could at night. Finally, there's the bakeshop. Just do it. What more can I say? I recommend the linzertorte in particular. If you're too full after lunch, or want to extend the dinner experience, grab something to take home. You'll be happy you did. Something to note: I often have to skip Edible Atlas because the menu includes pork or shellfish in a way that I can't replace it. While this is better for my wallet, I still want to try everything! The staff is really good about leaving the pork off one dish if you call ahead and ask, for example. However, I only do this when it doesn't change the tone of the entire dish. If the fourth course is pork, I skip the menu entirely. The customer service is outstanding. You can always tell that the owners care deeply about the food and the experience. Not every place can say that! It's hard to describe Atlas Eats in a way that is new and original. But when you think about it, do you really need to come up with anything new? Rochester is so lucky to have Atlas Eats, and I want to take them with me wherever I go. read more

Atlas Eats is the most unique thing we have seen on the Rochester food scene in a while. While maintaining a small, mostly consistent lunch menu, Atlas features an ever changing (well, every 2 weeks to be precise) "Edible Atlas" dinner series on Fridays and Saturdays. So far, I have been to the Italian and Spanish dinners. Both showed dishes with an impeccable balance of flavours (eg. flan ice cream with currant compote? Never thought that would work!) plated like you should be paying way more than $30 for 5 courses. They serve their homemade bread with the meals - 13 grain (dense, slightly sweet, soft) and ciabatta (crusty and light) were offered on my visits. They also give you a garlic olive oil (with whole, soft cloves of garlic) to dip the bread in or in my case, to take a shot of. Okay, I didn't do that but only because my friends would have shanked me for hogging it. I also got to sample the kimchi the chef makes himself. It is a fresher and lighter take on the traditional kimchi. It tastes lighter than kimchi I have had at Korean restaurants and also had a little bright citrus finish. The vegetables used here are mostly harvested from the chef's daughter's farm (Pachamama Farm in Farmington). The cheese and desserts are usually made by the chef using local ingredients whenever possible. I tried their chocolate cake and it was very rich and DARK. No overly sweet buttercream here. It was hands down my favourite chocolate cake in Rochester. Service is always well paced and very friendly. Often the chef's wife is the hostess and on my last visit, his daughter was also helping serve. Ever go a restaurant just once and then have the chef remember your preference on your next visit? Chef Gerry at Atlas Eats did precisely that - much to my amazement. During the Spanish meal, he came out to our table and asked if anyone besides me doesn't eat pork. For real? HOW DID HE REMEMBER! He met me once! For like 15 minutes. I am still stunned about that. I do recommend making a reservation since they can only seat 15-19 guests at most. If you have any dietary issues, ask questions when you call. I have noticed that they often have ingredients beyond what is listed on the menu (eg. there was crispy serrano ham on top of the green beans which was not mentioned on their website). If possible (eg. you are not demanding a vegetarian meal at their German series), they will accommodate you because the chef is truly dedicated to people enjoying his food. I am already planning my visit to the next Edible Atlas dinner (Greek) and the list of friends who want to go along keeps growing. I also hope to try out their kimchi fried rice soon. If you haven't been to Atlas Eats yet, you are seriously missing out. Go, go, go! Note: 1) They just got their beer/wine license and were serving 2 wines and 1 beer at the Spanish meal. 2) There's a parking lot behind their building so you don't have to deal with on street parking. 3) During the Edible Atlas dinners, every course is served at the same time to every table. What a fantastic, hidden gem in Irondequoit! It's hard to find because it is in the middle of a neighborhood. They have really cute seating outside during the warm months. The chairs were a little uncomfortable and small (a tiny gripe). The service was stellar! The two waitresses we had were just lovely. So attentive with the coffee refills, menu suggestions and just general conversation. Both my friend and I ordered the ranchero roll and were not disappointed. Delicious, fresh ingredients throughout. The salsa was especially fresh. The focaccia on the bottom was obviously fresh baked and full of flavor. For $6.95 you can't go wrong! My friend also ordered the house made orangina drink. She said it was very good. I will definitely be back to try the 5 course dinners they offer monthly. Here once again to our favorite place! My husband ordered the skillet omelet with spinach, provolone, and peppers. I ordered the Cheddar Biscuit with egg and bacon. We also preordered our favorite sweet bread, a Russian Braid! They were busy but were happy to wait outside on this sunny afternoon. This place is worth the wait!! Finally. I finally made it over here for one of their dinners. Thanks to Naz B. for inviting me. It was wonderful. Honestly. Wonderful. Heavenly. We were there for the Italian dinner, and I just can't put it into words. Each course was just delectable. Where do I start - how about with the antipasti - a delightful assortment of pickled vegetable for your pleasure. I love everything except one of the olives which is very unusual (olives are my favorite food) and the only negative thing I will bring up. The risotto fritata was next and AMAZING. The texture. The mix of flavors with the blue cheese on top. SO GOOD. I didn't want to finish it because I didn't want to experience to end! Then there was the gnudi in parmesan broth. YUM. Naz wondered if I was crying over this course because the look on my face showed just how much I loved it! The greens in the soup were so good - and I feel terrible now that I can't remember exactly what it was. LOVED IT. Cod - fabulous! Who would have thought you could enjoy beans with fish. I really never thought to put those together - but the bean paste/spread was delicious. The texture of hummus, but a much more delicate bean flavor. Loved it. Dessert. Oh dessert. Pistachio gellato. Not sure I spelled it right - but it doesn't matter. Any which way you spell it, it was wonderful! Our hosts were gracious. The service wonderful. Atmosphere - classy yet unpretentious. It is difficult for me to write a review of this place for two reasons. I've been here only once, and I had a special meal that cannot be ordered normally from their menu. So I decided to write a review about their "Edible Atlas" dinner series, and the bread we got with the meal. The concept it's pretty simple, a prix-fixe menu of a themed meal featuring food from a different part of the world. Our meal was a Spanish themed meal. The location is really small so the seating is limited, and because of the nature of the place (a small local store) it is critical that one arrives on time. They did make accommodations for one of us that does not eat pork, and were very conscientious about it. Still, in this kind of meal there are no substitutions! So read the menu before making reservations. About the food, I recently came back from a long vacation in Spain, and was looking forward to have food that reminded me of that great time. I didn't feel the food was Spanish per se, but what I had was a series of small plates of beautifully prepared meals with fresh ingredients cooked with care, and seasoned wonderfully. Every dish was delicious, and the service was very attentive and friendly. Although the food was outstanding, and felt like the kind of food you get a a fancy restaurant, the service felt more like a small restaurant/diner; friendly and easygoing. The wine selections were limited, but both fit very well to the food we were eating. And the bread, the two selections we had were delicious and perfectly baked, one of the best ciabattas I've had in Rochester. Cannot wait to see what they have to offer next! read more

*Saturday Lunch Review* I came to Atlas Eats with high hopes of trying their brunch special of the day posted on Instagram...The Sloppy Joseph; sloppy meat with egg, bacon and avocado on a whole wheat roll...Naturally they were all out by 1:30pm T-T I debated and debated and debated some more over the menu. Everything looked yummy, and I am actually kicking myself for not ordering the Kimchee Fried Rice Bowl with the egg. Instead I ordered the Seared Samon; brussel sprouts, mushrooms, walnuts & balsamic reduction over rice. When I got the plate it looked like it had beets because it was so purple in color. My mouth was blue by then end of my meal. I must be honest with you. The salmon was seared to absolute perfection, but its accompaniments were lacking. I found the dish to be overall bland. Now, my friend had better instincts in that she got the Kimchee rice bowl but opted for the tofu. MY GAWD, this was AMAZING. Bursting with flavors from the kimchee and surprisingly the tofu since it soaked up all the yummy yummy. It was tossed up with both pickled and fresh cabbage. For dessert we got the rum cake and the old fashioned chocolate cake. Seems like dark chocolate was used for the yummy ganache frosting. The cake itself was ok. I am assuming that we got and end piece and so it may have dried up a little. But otherwise, the sweet and dark flavor were expertly balanced. The rum cake was a single layer with the entire top coated in crushed walnuts. This cake was very much moist and the rum flavor was strong with this one. I now wish that I bought one to go :-( Will be back again for their prix fixe seating! Their "A Trip Around the World" looks mighty enticing! read more

I cannot get enough of Atlas Eats! I've been here for breakfast a couple times. Their portions are perfect because I never go into a food coma upon leaving. I highly recommend the Ranchero Roll with a mimosa. Nothing in life can bring you down afterward. If you think that isn't enough and you desire to have a food baby, pick up a baked good on the way out. Word on the street is that their brioche bread is the best around. read more
