I purchased a 5 X7 area rug for $3,000, waited 6 months for delivery, upon receiving questioned its size,& was told they would view rug in house and evaluate. Never happened. Because I'm not a designer, I believed the sales rep, Sherry, that all was good. MY BIG Mistake. This rug is not the right size, everyone tells me, it's too small... WORSE, I went back to Country Carpet, to get an indoor /outdoor runner for the inside entrance to my house.I picked 1 out and was told that this 3x7 rug was $800, and that there was nothing under that price. I can't believe this is such a DISHONEST ESTABLISHMENT!! every business should make a profit, but this business is incredibly greedy, I purchased the same rug Sherry at Country Carpet showed me for $354. I have always had a…read morereally nice experience and the sales staff are always friendly and helpful and wonderful to work with. I needed a new sofa so I came to this location. The store had been open for about 20 minutes and empty. The salesman helping us was an extreme deterrent. His answers were short and abrasive and he seemed annoyed to be answering anything we asked. He walked away from us, for no apparent reason, several times and we literally had to search the store to find him. What a major disappointment. In addition, as I was looking for my salesman, I passed another salesman and I nodded and said hello. This guy walked by me and turned his head. We were going to place an order but decided that we needed to go to a different Bob's because this isn't the way you treat customers. I hope the management reads this and retrains the staff here.

I ordered a dresser at the end of February 2022, i was told 14 weeks- ok fine, no problem there…read more The second week of April, gothic furniture calls to set up delivery for the following week- mind you, we're at the SIX week mark- and I'm on vacation in Florida. The guy was so pushy, saying he could put it off one week- like he's doing me a favor or something.. I land in NY around midnight, the dresser is delivered the next morning, wrapped up like a zombie on steroids. Impossible to inspect without unwrapping the whole thing. This particular dresser didn't come in white, only stains, so I ordered it unfinished. It looked ok but was hard to tell through the plastic. I didn't open it up for atleast 5 weeks because I had to finish it (sand, prime, paint, seal)- and I wasn't expecting to receive it so early. I would have never chosen to have it delivered the day after I flew back from vacation- bc it sat in my house for over a month, I couldn't take more time off of work obviously, I had planned to spend time on it when it was SUPPOSED to arrive. Their refund policy is a joke, which I found out from reading the back of my invoice- review their policies prior to purchasing. There are no full refunds- I highly doubt they would take responsibility for any defects or mistakes on their end- bc you should see this damn dresser. The back of it is 1/8" to 1/4" ROUGH, cheap PLYWOOD. There are four small drawers across the top, one of which has a giant knot missing, just below the edge of the dresser. Literally, looks like night and day compared to what I saw in the store. There is so many splinters in the wood on the interior of the dresser. One piece of wood inside and along the back of it, was snapped. I had to have someone cut a piece to reinforce it- I've spent well over $200, just on wood, I had to buy to either replace or reinforce certain parts, because I'm not going to finish something that looks like SH!T to begin with. The top is not one piece of wood, it's pieces joined together- not the same as what I saw in the store. The drawers have small gaps (holes) between the bottom and sides in the corners. There are SO MANY extra holes that were drilled and nothing was put into them. The staples holding the plywood along the back are not even in the right spots. I can't believe I spent over $1,600 on this BEFORE TAX, to not only have to finish it, but to repair it. This thing is a mess, I have put so much energy and money into it, that I might as well have built it from scratch, at this point. There was no bottom under the last drawer, 2/3 of the bottom had wood, 1/3, nothing. It literally looks like someone used the scraps they had to make this POS. I'm beyond livid. Honestly, I am considering taking this company to small claims court. Totally took advantage of my fiancée and I, and I think the salesman did so, bc we look younger than we are. Additionally, we paid $1103 and had a balance of $1104- review the amounts and add them- we were overcharged $50. When we confronted the guy who sold us the dresser, over the phone on the day of delivery, he tried to tell us that we couldn't read the numbers correctly. I didn't alter the original invoice at all. See for yourself. $1828 + $150 (delivery) + $179.98 (tax) *DOES NOT* = $2,207. It should have been $50 less, we got ripped off on the invoice- and in every other way possible, too. So effing done w gothic furniture. I do not recommend unless you like paying a ton of money for junk. I would have been better off buying just about anything else!

Over the years I purchased several pieces of furniture from Gothic Cabinet Craft, all from their…read morelong-closed Lake Grove store (I was originally impressed by their use of real wood (mostly pine) and custom finishes). So I'll only comment on the quality of their furniture (which all comes from the same factory), not the service or prices in this particular store. Overall, the quality of their furniture is very poor. Their bookcases are passable, but their dressers and desks are terrible. They are made of real wood, but the "craftsmanship" is so poor, you'd be better off with coated particleboard furniture. For example, the drawers have no guides and the fronts just flop down when you pull them out far enough. They also generate sawdust that falls into the drawer below (and if it's a dresser drawer, the sawdust gets on your clothing). Also, their finishes took many months to stop smelling (like they are not dried or cured properly). The next time I want reasonably priced real wood furniture, I'll look into the finish-it-yourself furniture stores.

They also have parking right out front for loading your purchase if you need it. Most of the store is upstairs though the first level has the checkout counters, and the food section as well as a cafe where you can get drinks and hot dogs I believe. And Ice cream as well. Once you get upstairs you just have to follow the arrows on the floor and they have signs for what sections you're entering. For example, living room, bedroom, office, etc. I think the best part of IKEA is the layouts they have. They have bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, kitchens etc all set up different ways. It's great way to get ideas on how to set up your space. Of course there's also the full service restaurant on this level as well.
