They managed to get them on by bending them into place. They charged $30 total and spent at least 45 minutes solid working on the bike. They were as perplexed as I was by the fact that this bike had just one brake on the handlebars to control both the front and back. After I was home, I read all over the documentation, "the front wheel appears as if the brake doesn't lock, that's just how this bike is designed." :P They basically dropped everything they were working on just to help us out. I wouldn't buy accessories here, but this is a decent bike shop for repairs!

When we were having trouble fitting all of our bikes on our car bike rack, Doug came out and helped us put our bikes on the rack. He was so patient the entire time we were there. He even ran inside to get a tool to space out our rack better. He went above and beyond; we will definitely be going back to sun and ski, anytime we need bike or ski equipment thanks to Doug.
