It took over a month for them to fix my handle brake. So idk. Summer is over , i have to ride in the cold. . What do u think?

My grandson and I stopped in to see if they fix his seat. The salesman was extremely rude I understand they did not have the part, but he could not offer any help at all. I'll echo other reviews, prices here are as the manufacturers list them. Don't expect internet rock bottom prices, but I'll pay the $2-$5 premium (on average) all day long for the awesome service these folks provide. I was fixing up a SE Big Ripper I picked up used. All the onlie stores were sold out of parts and these folks had everything in stock and were super helpful in guiding me in the right direction to get my bike up and rocking on my own. Others would just try to convince me to bring it in so they could they could charge me to service it, not these guys... Useless. Called yesterday to see what time they open - was told 10 AM. Showed up at 10 AM today and even though the door is open and multiple employees are here, I can't purchase chain lube. Dude was a complete douchebag, ran away to "check" what time they open so I would guess they play fast and loose with responsibility here. Go elsewhere. Don't waste your time especially on a bike. read more

bought my first mafia bike and wheelie bike ever. they were able to fix it fast and it was great. they are a very good bike store if u tryna get ur first wheelie bike. they are a little expensive but i recommend buying from NORTH SHORE CYCLES in lynn. read more

Brought my worn out bike in for service. Got the $70 tune up plus all new cables, new tires, adjustment, and a couple other parts. Overall it cost me $160. I probably could have saved some money by doing some of the work myself but I'm so glad I didn't. Wes did an EXCELLENT job and my bike is like new again. He is very professional and does great work (and also has an epic beard). I really appreciate that he took his time, I could tell he was confident in the job he did. After a 10 mile ride, I'm even more sure I did the right thing by going to north shore cycle. Shifting is butter smooth, brakes grab nice, and the bike overall just feels like new again. I highly recommend this shop if you want to get quality work done on your bike. They also have a nice showroom and Mark can probably answer any question you have about bicycles. Expect to get what you pay for at this shop, it's well worth it. read more

We bought two mid-range hybrid bikes from Mark at North Shore Cycle. I think the prices were fair, and he gave us good advice on options. The store had a good selection of Specialized and Trek models. Mark said if we weren't happy with our new bikes we could exchange them after we rode them. Access to the shop on Western Ave was good, plenty of parking behind the store. Overall, we were pleased with the experience, and would recommend North Shore Cycle to others. read more

I have never met a business owner so compassionate and caring as Mark.He sold my son a bike and it ended up getting stolen and he called me a couple times to check in on my son and asked if there was anything he could do.When I first got the bike I went in and asked him questions about parts for the bike and he is very patient and actually cares about his customers.I called another local bike shop to ask them to notify me if any of my sons bike parts showed up there.I can't even tell you how rude the other shop was!!So PLEASE if you are looking for a bike or need parts to go see Mark. This location has been there forever and now I know why. Because they care about their customers. I had an excellent experience here. Mark was super nice & so helpful. He not only fixed my flat, but also gave my bike a few minor gear/brake adjustments, raised my handle bars & seat to the perfect height & he seemed genuinely pleased to share his knowledge. He also helped me get the bike back into my car. I explained to him how my bike is a loaner from a family member and he treated it as if he were the one who sold it to me. After being treated rudely at a Salem bike shop drove to North Shore Cycle,where the owner,who happened to be in the parking lot, personally took my bike out of my trunk and brought it into the shop! It's hard to find a bike shop in the Boston area with nicer staff. North Shore Cycles is a solid, local shop with a good selection and fair prices. Only gripe is that I wish they were closer to where I live. read more

Tried to sell me the wrong size part which I did not purchase and was expensive. It probably would have not been returnable once used. I guess they will try anything to make a sale. I smelled snake oil all over this potential sale! The part is usually labeled or stamped the size on the base. The part was removed by them from my bike and returned to me was not original part installed but may have been lying in a junk pile for some time from another bike. I left notable markings on my original part to make sure. I never got my original part back. The junk pile part did match the new part I was trying to be sold by them. I already knew the measurements where wrong when I first saw the new item and it's measurements since I have replaced this part before on the same bike. The new part would have never fit the application but would only fit to a limit and would create problems if incorrectly installed with the wrong size. I bought the correct part elsewhere the same day at a fraction of the cost from another bike shop. Bike is running fine now. I would not trust this place. read more

$68 for a tune up I ended up having to do myself and the wheel is still not straight and only response was a hostile so whats the question and an apology from the owner. Now I have to get a receipt for another tune up to send to mastercard to get the charge taken off! read more
