Went in this past Saturday. They had some bikes but only 2 options for shoes with very limited options for sizes

We went in last week and Doug was absolutely amazing. He not only helped us pick out bikes, but was so knowledgeable and helpful fixing our old one. When we were having trouble fitting all of our bikes on our car bike rack, Doug came out and helped us put our bikes on the rack. He was so patient the entire time we were there. He even ran inside to get a tool to space out our rack better. He went above and beyond; we will definitely be going back to sun and ski, anytime we need bike or ski equipment thanks to Doug. read more

They couldn't mount my binding to my new skis nor remount my new bindings to my new skis. I was trying to make use of used equipment but they told me it was too old, 8 years so go to another place that wasn't aligned with manufacturers. I did buy from them previously and had a good experience. read more

We buy all of our ski gear here and they are always amazingly helpful in fitting the kids with the right sizes but recently they went above and beyond!!! My son is an aggressive skier and after a long day one of his brand new skis was pretty damaged. Sun And Ski was very helpful in getting the issue resolved and getting us back on the slopes asap. I brought my skis in to get tuned. The price was $119. They noticed that my edges were rusty and said that I would have to pay another $20 to deal with the rust, bringing the total to $139. I told the clerk that this was highway robbery. He agreed. The going rate is about $49-59. I found a place in Acton which would do it for $45. Sun & Ski sports should be ashamed of itself for price gouging. Shame, shame, shame. read more

Horrible service. While the sales folks rushed to help a group of young ladies, my husband and I (age 60) couldn't get anyone to help or even acknowledge us. We went to REI directly afterwards, and was greeted at the door by an employee who wanted to help us, and thus REI got our business. read more

I received a winter jacket in October that still had the security sensor on it. My only option was to return it to them via the mail to have it removed and then sent back to me. After two months of me following up, they resold my same jacket with my son's name written inside to a different person when they said it was being returned to me. Unreal. read more

The night before flying to Utah for a ski trip I realized that my travel bag for my skis was too small. I called around to other shops but Sun and Ski in Woburn was the only shop willing to stay open a few minutes late to help me out. The folks there are kind and helpful, and they have tons of great ski gear. I highly recommend checking them out! read more

I stopped in on a Saturday prepared to buy everything I need to stop renting. I found ski pants, which took about 20 minutes to find the right style and fit. I then went over to the goggles. The price range was pretty wide, and I didn't know which benefits they came with. I then went over to the helmets. I spent about 20 minutes browsing, trying helmets on. The critical point here is that in nearly 45 minutes, not one employee came up to me to see if I needed help. It wasn't until I was ready to go to the register when someone in plain clothes came over and asked if I had everything I needed. I wasn't even going to bother mentioning that I needed a whole ski kit and instead just asked if I had the right helmet. "Well, does it fit?" I'm not sure, the medium and large feels the same. "Oh yeah, then either is probably fine". This isn't the expert advice I was looking for. I came in here to support the little guy, but I did not enjoy the same level of service and expertise as the others who wrote reviews did. I had no idea who worked there. In fact, I felt like the store was unmanned. Why bother going to a brick and mortar store when you get the same faceless experience as you would online, but with a higher price? read more

So I purchased a pair of gently used Nordica skis from the Woburn MA. store at the end of ski season in March and experienced remarkable customer service! The store associate I worked with was named Jon Ellis. Living nearly 60 miles from this store Jon was most helpful working with me-both over the phone and through email. Knowing that my drive to his store was significant he went out of his way to answer all my questions and to see things through to a confident,easy purchase on my behalf. I ordered shoes and paid for these and it took them 10 days just to tell me that didnt actually have these shoes. No coupons were given nothing was done for their complete lack of professionalism. I was in a bit of a conundrum trying to decide between skis. I was coming off of a pair I really enjoyed but needed more out of them. For over a week I had been doing my research and trying to get all the pieces gathered to make my decision. I went up to SS Woburn for the first time and met Jon. I had been to their sister location in Pembroke, which has always been a go to spot. But, Jon was able to really help me decide. He gave me options I wasn't sure I had and made it really relatable and relevant to me. I skied for the first time on my new skis today and absolutely loved them. We have always had an incredible experience here. Nicole was wonderful and very patient, helping me to try on numerous pairs of ski boots to find the perfect pair. Brooke then fit the boots to my skis and tested the bindings for us immediately so we could take everything home that day. Came in to get some skis and they were very helpful, they took almost an hour with me to make sure I had the right boots. I ended up going back and buying more expensive skis ans they swapped them out even though they spent time to put the bindings on. If you are looking for a cheap 1 season ski and some guy to sell you boots ans skis that aren't meant for you go somewhere else. But if you are serious about skiing/ boarding this is the place for you they are realistic and don't sell cheap stuff because cheap stuff doesn't last. It was refreshing to deal with knowledgeable staff who was more interested in helping me than pushing product down my throat. I've been in too many ski shops where the floor staff only cares about taking you from fitting to the cash register and doesn't do enough work up front to understand what you are looking for. The best thing about these guys is they will be honest with you. They will recommend that you take a step up in quality/price if it sounds like that's what you need/want and they will be honest if it sounds like you are over spending based on your needs. My wife bought me some new ski boots from Sun & Ski's website. I came in to get them molded and the guys were more than willing to help. They made me feel good about my purchase and we discussed things that could be adjusted to make the boot fit better. I will definitely be back to work with these guys on future purchases. read more

I went here to buy my first set of ski boots. Dick came over to me right away and offered to hel. He carefully measured my feet and asked me about my skiing ability. I told him I was on a budget, and he found a new pair of last year's boots in the back, originally for $500, which were marked down to $220!! I used them the next weekend and they fit great, although Dick told me I can bring them back anytime within a year to either have them adjusted or traded out if the fit doesn't work for me. My wife and I also rented skis from there as well, since they are literally on the way to any mountains from our house. The skis were in great condition, not beat up at all. The price is much better than getting them at a resort - $25 for the first day and $10/day after that. When we brought the skis back, Rick spent about 30 minutes showing us helmets, which we also ended up buying there. read more

My husband and I recently decided to buy ski gear since our son started skiing. We haven't skiied in many years and never owned our own skiis and boots. I had a great experience here and got a pretty good deal. I admit it was an end of season sale so I got my ski boots on sale but the guy there who helped me was great. He was swamped with customers but still took the time to make sure everyone got the attention they deserved. He heat molded the boots for me also which is included. I'll head back and have them mount my bindings when I get them. Couldn't find ski clothes to fit me but as I said it was a very end of season sale so I won't deduct for that. read more

After a few times skiing, I decided to buy ski boots. My initial boots were not a good fit and when I spoke to Eric the manager about the major fit issues I had with the boot he immediately helped me out. I tried on about 4 different boots and Eric gave me great tips on how the boot should fit and was super patient even though I know he was doing 10 other things at the same time. Even though I had a miserable time on the mountain with the first boot, I'm hoping the second boot is a much better fit. (I have yet to go skiing again.) They seem to really care to make things right. Because of the customer service, I'll be coming back for future ski equipment needs. read more

I did have a good experience here last winter renting a pair of demo skis, though they did talk to me (kindly) as if I was clueless and needed lots of advice when I allowed as how I wanted to demo skis because my current skis are ten year old crap and suggested beginner skis. I've been skiing my whole life, I know what I want, I just have never had any money for good equipment. The demos were nice. I will invest in my own this year. Anyways, the rental was fine and so yesterday I stopped in to see if they sell Apex brand boots because I have been researching a lot and would like to try some on. The salesman was pushy AND ignorant. Can one man mansplain to another? He did. He told me "those have a lot of flex, you don't want that kind of flex, I you can't race in them!!" "I don't plan to race, thanks" "What do you want that kind for? We have lots of better boots. Like look...blah blah" "Well my feet are like this..[gesture with hands to show my feet are mildly deformed in a way that goes poorly with every ski boot I've ever had. I think seven brands have failed me so far because of the way the axis of my feet are misaligned and cut off circulation... so I read Apex May be softer and less aggressive but are good only if you happen to have feet that don't fit into regular boots and thought 'hey that's me!" "Well we do have this one pair of them here that someone returned you can see. And you see what I mean. They are snowboard boots. With a mount. [not exactly. I know exactly what and how they function and he does not. And the pair he has is a two year old model that was discontinued and sells for one third of the ones I want, so he was an idiot in the price dept too..if they work on commission I hope he looks up the Apex price and groans for being so unpleasant. Shows the old boots, not my size. Tells me again why they are bad boots. Picks up a pair of Dalbelo boots and explains why they are better. I don't want those, I've had a pair of those. Well but they are wide (cites number that is not wide and clearly has listened to nothing I've said). He just got more and more aggressive and huffy at me and opening and closing buckles to show me how it has four of them and said "So you're telling me that you don't even want to try on any of the boots I have in here?!" "Correct. I want to try on Apex boots and I'm not prepared to purchase today." "So even if I had them in stock you wouldn't want to buy them!!!?" "Ummmm, but you don't have them. And I'm planning to buy them closer to when the slopes open because if they don't feel good skiing I'd like to be able to return them" "Well you'll try them on before you ski. So you'll know when you buy them if they feel comfortable." "Yes but you know, different in the stores, slopes.." No apparently he has no clue. [Doesn't sound to me like he has ever skied, does it?] And he is pushy and rude. Aggressive. He says "well you have to really try them on to get a feel for them. You have to try them on in the store for a while like fifteen minutes at least!" Oh brother. He never even mentioned a bootfitter the whole time. The whole exchange was so absurd. He acted like the worst kind of used Car salesman, and made sure I knew he sells more barbells than skis and is proud of it. Alrighty then. A less iron pumping type salesman was nearby and interrupted to volunteer some helpful information about being able to order the ones I wanted in and then return them if it didn't work. He really had the only on-topic things to say but I wanted out by then. I would not recommend buying ski boots from this place if they were the last store in Massachusetts. read more

After approaching several other stores, we were immediately impressed with the knowledge and kindness of Sun and Ski, as we looked for patio furniture. The furniture was delivered in a timely manner by uniformed men and set up on our patio. However, what set Sun and Ski off from most vendors of any product, is how they worked to get a faulty item replaced. One of our patio tables had a bent top and after enumerable calls , over several weeks, by Sun and Ski to the manufacturer, the Woburn store's manager delivered the replacement to our home. They all fit well (which was grand - I had already been to a few stores with no success) and left with a new Karbon coat shortly after.
