This bistro is SO wonderful. The Ukrainians who run it prepare such fresh fantastic food (Largely Greek; go figure). They have THE best French fries (again, go figure)--coated in some unknown slurry, they are super crisp, flavorful and greaseless...and those are just a "side" with the sandwiches. We especially love the lamb gyros and shawarmas--topped with superb veggies and plenty of dill/yogurt tzatzicki sauce on fabulously fresh bread wraps...but friends rave about the bowls (which we have yet to try, but I bet they ARE delish). This place is fantastic. European and Mediterranean comfort food. Whoever prepares this food obviously cares about what they do and they clearly use fresh ingredients. Service was some of the fastest I have ever experienced and I could not believe how cheap it was. We had Schwarna, stuffed eggplant, schnitzel, perogies and some sort of Italian chicken pasta (they also have burgers, salads and a slew of other options). Nothing was less than delicious. It's tucked away in a small strip mall, looks like it used to be a pizzeria with minimal seating. Not fancy at all but again, everything was delicious, cheap and fast. My wife and I were in Myrtle Beach for a long weekend (February 5-8) and decided to look for a Mediterranean restaurant. We found Atmosphera Cafe and decided to try their Ukrainian menu. When we arrived, we heard a Ukrainian radio station being streamed into the restaurant. We were immediately seated and started looking at the menu. They had a great selection of Mediterranean staples like chicken shawarma, lamb, gyros, several kinds of salads, etc. I ordered a chicken shawarma gyro bowl, with fried potatoes (small steak fries), mushrooms, grilled peppers, grilled onions, olives, feta cheese, and tzatziki sauce. All on a bed of fresh spring mix. The taste combinations were fantastic. My wife had a similar gyro bowl. We both ate the whole serving. It was so good that we returned the next evening, and each had a salad and a glass of wine. Such a great meal, expertly prepared by Ukrainian refugees that escaped to the USA while they could. After the second dinner meal, I had some of the tastiest baklava I have ever eaten. We will most definitely return to this fine restaurant. I had dinner with friends today and it was amazing, my friend has Ukrainian roots so I thought inviting him to this place was a good idea. and I was right, delicious fresh food is prepared right in the open kitchen, you can see all the processes! We got dumplings, borscht and a big plate of meat, and the meat plate was really big, enough for two, tasty and well seasoned, the potato wedges in the big plate were pretty good, the garlic and spices made it taste good! And we ended up with cherry pancakes, an amazing mixture of cherry cheese and chocolate! We highly recommend and will definitely be back! read more

A hidden gem in Market Common near eggs up. Very clean and nicely decorated. We both had the gyro bowl...portions are huge, you will not go away hungry. Very tasty and fresh, the lamb and beef was tender, juicy and flavorful. The rice was beyond perfection and the salad was on the same level. Cute little place hosted by breathtakingly beautiful, ethnically pure Ukrainian women. Notice the icy blue eyes. The fair and flawless skin. Now, the food. Ordered the pierogies. Reminded me of how my Polish mother use to make them. Fresh and flavorful with fried onions and sour cream. I our server was awesome friendly and upbeat. The beer was so cold it was excellent. The place was very clean although small I would still recommend waiting for a seat it is so worth it. The wings were good the rest of our meals were also good. The only critique I have is they only have a beer and wine license and my dinner partner is a rum drinker. Hopefully they will get a full bar license in the furture. read more

I ordered the lamb Gyro, was not impressed, the Gyro was under size and had little lamb in it, and the lamb that was in it was tough.

Delicious! Cabbage rolls were great! Chicken wrap was excellent and loved the garlic sauce. Service was great as well! We will be back!

I don't get the reviews... maybe my meal was off but I can't say anything was even close to remotely good. The meat plate I purchased was barely tolerable. The veggies were covered in sauce that took away from the veggies, the fries were similar to eating plain crackers and the pita was as basic as they come. The meat was not tasty at all and reminds me quality of what one may find at a budget store from a frozen TV dinner. Again, maybe it was just off or this is the type of food people enjoy in the area but I'd never suggest or go here ever again... the service was nice at least but the food..... TRASH read more

I got a to go order of chicken. it was chunks of boneless chicken that really had no taste, French fries that were awful and a greek salad that had no olives. aren't the olives one of the best parts of a greek salad?? We were trying to find somewhere around Myrtle Beach that wasn't a tourist trap for a quick meal and we were absolutely blown away by the quality and service. They had just opened and the waitress they hired was not right for the position she was a bit abrasive, smelled like cigarette smoke, and said she was the only one who speaks English here. Food was very good. Wasn't a fan of the pierogis. They were bland and the potato filling was too chunky. Only other complaint is that you can't get sides with sone of the entrees.
