Our server favla was so nice and she recommend really good food. Our first time eating Mediterranean food and it was so delicious. We couldn't get enough of the pita. The pomegranate elderflower mojito was so good as well

After a week of barbecued pork, I was craving something fresh, and Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar was the perfect palate cleanser. This Travelers' Choice winner is a garish escape that transports you straight to (some version) of Morocco the moment you step inside. The glitzy and quasi psychedelic atmosphere is anchored by a massive mosaic glass lamp chandelier--a true centerpiece that sets a Grateful Dead meets Middle East tone for the evening. What We Ordered: Mediterranean Sampler An essential starter. The hummus was silky, the tahini perfectly balanced, and the baba ganoush smoky and rich. It comes with three small pieces of crisp, herb-packed falafel and warm, fluffy pita. The "Jerusalem Experience for Two" This is a massive feast loaded with tender kebabs, French fries, lamb chops, juicy shawarma, and succulent chicken . The energy is vibrant, supported by a staff that are well intended and pleasant. I recommend this restaurant for a fun night, good food and reasonable prices.

I can not express how much we enjoyed our experience. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and didn't stir us wrong. The food was amazing. We will definitely be back.

For my fiancée's birthday, I wanted to take her somewhere that felt truly special -- not just dinner, but an experience. After doing a lot of research, I decided on Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar, and it was absolutely the right call. We arrived around 8 p.m. on a Sunday, and with the restaurant closing at nine, we ended up being the only guests there. Instead of feeling awkward, it made the evening feel intimate, like I'd rented out the whole place just for her. The hostess and server were both warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We sat at the bar, which felt more like a cozy dining table thanks to the open, spacious layout. We ordered the Jerusalem Experience for Two, which truly lives up to its name -- a feast that lets you sample all their best dishes at once. The platter came overflowing with flavorful favorites: tender kebabs grilled perfectly, juicy shawarma with rich spices, skewers of baby chicken and chicken shish tawook that were smoky and succulent, creamy baba ganoush, smooth tahini, and velvety hummus that was among the best I've had. The falafel had a crisp outer shell and a warm, herb-packed interior, the dolmas added a nice tang, and the homemade fries and yellow rice completed the meal beautifully. Every bite felt intentional and layered -- from the char on the meats to the freshness of Max's Mediterranean salad. I ordered a POM & FIG Martini -- Feigling Fig Vodka, 100% pomegranate juice, and sweet vermouth -- and it was an instant hit. My fiancée, who wasn't planning to drink, took one sip and ended up keeping mine, so I had to order another. Sweet, slightly tart, and perfectly balanced. For dessert, I couldn't resist my Mediterranean favorite: Baklava. At $9, it was flaky, syrupy, and everything I hoped it would be -- the perfect finish to an already incredible meal. Beyond the food, this restaurant also offers some great photo ops thanks to its vibrant and beautifully designed décor. We unfortunately ran short on time and didn't get to take any pictures, but the space itself adds to the entire dining experience. Our total came to about $130 with tip, and it was worth every cent. Between the exceptional food, service, and atmosphere, this was the perfect way to celebrate her birthday. If you're looking for authentic Mediterranean cuisine in a romantic and relaxed setting, Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar should absolutely be on your list.

Mediterranean Sampler and Mediterranean Salad, Pita

We were there on Friday night and it was busy but not overcrowded. The place was very quiet, clean and the atmosphere was great. The food was delicious. I eat plant based and there were many options for me to choose from. There were labeled vegan and vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend on your beach trip.

My wife and I went for an early Valentine's dinner and man this place did not disappoint. As soon as we walked in the decor was very Middle Eastern and extremely colorful and my wife fell in love with all the lamps. We ordered the Mediterranean sampler for two which came with a huge variety of different kabobs meats and also tahini hummus's and different breads. Would highly recommend to anyone! Also shout out to Ryan our server. He was on point!

It was our first time here today and we had a really nice lunch. The menu had lots of great options that we decided to try the lunch specials. There were quite a few to choose from, but we both had the chicken Shawarma pita sandwiches which came with fries. They were packed full of delicious Shawarma meat, hummus, tahini, and Mediterranean salad. The spicy sauce is a must try. We would definitely come back and try some of the plates and the appetizers. The food came out promptly, was hot and fresh, and the service was great. The portions are also quite generous. The restaurant has really pretty decor and a huge, beautiful chandelier over the Bar has shown in my picture.

Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant blew us away this weekend with their gorgeous restaurant, incredible belly dancer, and flavorful Mediterranean dishes! A must visit if you're looking for something unique.

    App sampler

Went for lunch and had a great meal. Service was good and the place is well decorated with hanging lamps and a mid eastern feel, of course. Had the sampler app plate, and a flat bread. Ordered the FF because everyone said they were awesome. Unfortunately the oil was a little old so the fries missed the Mark. All the other items were perfect.

Great food and excellent service! Our first time to Jerusalem. There were so many items that we had wanted to try. After learning that it was our first visit, our server recommended the Jerusalem Platter for 2. Although, the platter indicated that it serves 2, there was plenty of food for the three of us. We added a watermelon salad as well. The meat, the bread, and the different dips were all delicious! Service was prompt and friendly.

    Fabulous show.

Jerusalem Mediterranean isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. When you walk in the restaurant you'll take notice of the light fixtures. These are beautiful works of art throughout the restaurant. There are also some unique tagins placed throughout the restaurant that adds to the Mediterranean vibe. The service is top notch with friendly and efficient people working there. The food is true Mediterranean with a wide variety of dishes offered from various regions. The Shawarma Platter comes with one side and I had some delicious beans and rice. The Chicken Shawarma itself was uniquely delicious. Along with the tahini the flavors jump in your mouth. I was surprised by the large portion too. I had to take some home. My wife's Beef Shashlik was made with NY strip and wow was that tasty. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and loved the flavors that the marinade gave the beef. Of course there is fabulous entertainment at Jerusalem as well. A dancer with elaborate clothing and costumes came out and danced around all of the tables in the restaurant. She even interacted with diners and it was an absolutely enjoyable show. If you're in Myrtle Beach, do yourself a favor and don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant.

Originally, my girlfriend & I were going to eat at the Cook Out further north up US 17 Business on Labor Day Monday, 9/2/24. But it started heavily raining, and it was only to go at this Cook Out; the one I went to before was dine-in, so that threw us for a loop. We would've had to wait outside in the pouring rain to order and then eat in the car, which I had no interest in doing. We were ultimately meeting up with friends down on the boardwalk south of 8th Ave N. We had parked on Broadway and thought about eating over there, but nothing stood out. We walked to Ocean Blvd, there were a couple of places that were to go or just wasn't feeling. Shwarma's King looked promising and coincidentally that's where some friends already were. So, we settled on that. My biggest pet peeve with restaurants is no courtesy cup of water for paying customer of food. Water should be given no questions asked. You order at the counter. I will say the owner was very nice. And we were desperate since I don't normally do food purchases from a business who refuses water. My g/f went ahead and paid since I froze when we talked about the no water cup, and she bought water. I will also say that the Schwarma wrap was great. It was too bad he denied courtesy cup of water, which should be a given with the meal because I think I would've given this 5-stars instead of 2-stars considering the friendly owner & great food.

I was lucky enough to go to Crete , Greece 4 times while in the military in the late 80's. I still haven't found that replacement , but I've come pretty close a couple times. The Chicken Kabob here was really good , thick flavorful pieces that were seasoned well on a wooden skewer. I would recommend getting these. The Beef and Lamb Gyro was large and full of meat , veggies , and sauce. The meat was decent , but I wasn't impressed by it. The sauce also was mid , could be thicker and more flavor. I got a sample of the Roasted Potatoes and I would recommend them. The Rice looked good , but I didn't try it. They have some desserts too. The Carrot Cake and Chocolate Cake were monsters ! If my son was here with me in Myrtle Beach I definitely would've gotten both. I think for most people they would be happy to have lunch or dinner here. $13.00 for a Gyro and $7.00 for a Chicken Kabob.

In general, the food was good and the staff was friendly. During my two-day visit I had two meals there. Tried the Grilled Tiger Prawns, Soutzoukakia, Beet Salad, Maroulsalata, Pastichio and Spanakorizo. 1. The tiger prawns came with four pieces. Tasted fresh but a bit too salty for me. 2. Soutzoukakia was basically lamb and beef meatballs. Compared to Kofta in Middle Eastern cuisine, these had more flavors from meat but less from other ingredients. Served over tomato sauce. 3. Beet salad had generous amount of beets, but the arugula tasted just-out-of-fridge; it was very cold and crispy, lacking the flavor of fresh arugula. 4. Maroulsalata was a salad with chopped (green) romaine, green onions, dill, crumbled feta and lemon+EVOO dressing. A light dish perfect for pairing with their meats or (heavy) pastas. 5. Pastichio, the Greek style Lasagna, is a classical. It was my first time to try it and it tasted fantastic. It was an ~4 inch square piece of layers of hollow pasta topped with ground beef, a thick layer of bechamel, and topped with graviera cheese. Unlike meat sauce, the ground beef was "dry", but this was OKay because the bechamel would smoothen everything. In general rich in flavor and creamy and definitely filling. 6. Spanakorizo was like risotto or porridge but perhaps had even more liquid. It had Arborio rice, spinach, herbs and Kefalograviera cheese. The staff were friendly. They recognized me when I had my second meal there, answered my questions about the menu patiently, and explained to me about their tips (I will discuss this below). The dishes were served in reasonable time. The vibe was definitely at the higher end among the restaurants in Myrtle Beach; plus it was not crowded at all. Despite the good food, you should be careful about the tip. Their suggested tip percentages are calculated based on the taxed price; e.g. if you select the suggested 18% you are actually tipping more than that.
