Absolutely recommend! By far one of the best restaurants, I have been to in Myrtle Beach!! My only regret is that we did not go on a Saturday night for the belly dancer too! The atmosphere is lively, colorful and the music is loud enough to drown out other tables and not inhibit our conversations!! We were a group of 5 people (we did make reservations). Our waiter Zeon was great, very attentive, friendly and informative, fully capable of answering all of our questions in regard to the menu items. He didn't hover but had impeccable timing to be there just when your drink was needing a refill. We started with 3 different appetizers to share and try different items. The Mediterranean sampler of hummus, tahini and baba ganoush served with warm dipping bread, the Jerusalem combo - falafel, meat kibbeh, vegetarian kibbeh, Moroccan beef cigars with tahini dipping sauce and last but not least, the Phyllo Rolls. Everything was a surprise to your tastebuds! Although pretty sure the warm bread with the Baba ganoush was the fav! Our meals consisted of Salmon Shish Kebab, Beef Shashlik, Chicken Shrish Tawook and Lamb chops. For my fiancée's birthday, I wanted to take her somewhere that felt truly special -- not just dinner, but an experience. After doing a lot of research, I decided on Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar, and it was absolutely the right call. We arrived around 8 p.m. on a Sunday, and with the restaurant closing at nine, we ended up being the only guests there. Instead of feeling awkward, it made the evening feel intimate, like I'd rented out the whole place just for her. The hostess and server were both warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We sat at the bar, which felt more like a cozy dining table thanks to the open, spacious layout. We ordered the Jerusalem Experience for Two, which truly lives up to its name -- a feast that lets you sample all their best dishes at once. The platter came overflowing with flavorful favorites: tender kebabs grilled perfectly, juicy shawarma with rich spices, skewers of baby chicken and chicken shish tawook that were smoky and succulent, creamy baba ganoush, smooth tahini, and velvety hummus that was among the best I've had. The falafel had a crisp outer shell and a warm, herb-packed interior, the dolmas added a nice tang, and the homemade fries and yellow rice completed the meal beautifully. Every bite felt intentional and layered -- from the char on the meats to the freshness of Max's Mediterranean salad. I ordered a POM & FIG Martini -- Feigling Fig Vodka, 100% pomegranate juice, and sweet vermouth -- and it was an instant hit. My fiancée, who wasn't planning to drink, took one sip and ended up keeping mine, so I had to order another. Sweet, slightly tart, and perfectly balanced. For dessert, I couldn't resist my Mediterranean favorite: Baklava. At $9, it was flaky, syrupy, and everything I hoped it would be -- the perfect finish to an already incredible meal. Beyond the food, this restaurant also offers some great photo ops thanks to its vibrant and beautifully designed décor. We unfortunately ran short on time and didn't get to take any pictures, but the space itself adds to the entire dining experience. Our total came to about $130 with tip, and it was worth every cent. We got our appetizers, tabbouleh was horrible, it came with just tomatoes and very sad looking musty onions without the parsley ( which is the main ingredient of the tabouleh). We ordered the Casablanca platter. The kebab was over cooked, the chicken tawooq was a lot of fat and grisly ( was so disgusting) . Shawarma was over seasoned. Our waitress was so slow. Our drinks was empty never came back and checked the our table, she kept taking orders from new tables and ignored our table. My wife and I went for an early Valentine's dinner and man this place did not disappoint. As soon as we walked in the decor was very Middle Eastern and extremely colorful and my wife fell in love with all the lamps. It was our first time here today and we had a really nice lunch. The menu had lots of great options that we decided to try the lunch specials. There were quite a few to choose from, but we both had the chicken Shawarma pita sandwiches which came with fries. They were packed full of delicious Shawarma meat, hummus, tahini, and Mediterranean salad. The spicy sauce is a must try. We would definitely come back and try some of the plates and the appetizers. The food came out promptly, was hot and fresh, and the service was great. The portions are also quite generous. My wife and I are locals and have been wanting to go to Jerusalem for quite some time. We finally made it this past Wednesday. Honestly I do not know why we waited. These are beautiful works of art throughout the restaurant. There are also some unique tagins placed throughout the restaurant that adds to the Mediterranean vibe. The service is top notch with friendly and efficient people working there. The food is true Mediterranean with a wide variety of dishes offered from various regions. The Shawarma Platter comes with one side and I had some delicious beans and rice. The Chicken Shawarma itself was uniquely delicious. Along with the tahini the flavors jump in your mouth. I was surprised by the large portion too. I had to take some home. My wife's Beef Shashlik was made with NY strip and wow was that tasty. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and loved the flavors that the marinade gave the beef. Of course there is fabulous entertainment at Jerusalem as well. A dancer with elaborate clothing and costumes came out and danced around all of the tables in the restaurant. She even interacted with diners and it was an absolutely enjoyable show. She did a GREAT job but I'll be honest, it gave me anxiety that she was all alone and it detracted from the overall enjoyment of the experience. In the off season it may be ok but at the height of summer there should be at least two people on the floor. My family is vegan, and while the menu is somewhat bewildering why certain things are not marked Vegan, I think it could be edited again for accuracy. The staff assures us that the falafel sandwich is vegan. We also enjoy the hummus and the cauliflower and the grape leaves and baba ghanoush. Most of the staff we have found to be friendly, but there is a fella that was stoic, but overtime he has become friendly, I think it may be a cultural difference. This place has amazing food! Wow was it flavorful! When we walked it I was surprised at how vibrant all of the lamps and decorations were. I enjoyed it. It took a while for anyone to come check on us. So long in fact that I actually said something to a person cleaning the floor. She disappeared and a few moments later a girl emerged from the back. By this time we had enough time to know what we wanted so we placed our order. As the meal went on, the service was notably better. I think they just honestly forgot to communicate when we first came in. All of the food and apps came at the same time except for one thing. I was thrilled at the size of food and it's flavor. YUMMMM! The spicy potatoes were excellent and so were all of the sauces. The hummus has a lot of tahini in it so if you don't like that flavor I'd avoid it. The pita is fantastic. I enjoyed dipping it in the sauce that starts with an L. It was similar to tzatziki but thicker. Pure delight. They also have a spicy bean dish that was unique and tasty. This place was amazing! Carmen(?), our waitress, was equally amazing and super nice. Food is ultra fresh, flavorful, and filling! You get a tremendous bang for your buck here. The pita, THE PITA!!! Holy was that damn good! Wish we had more room to try the hummus. Grilled salmon kebab was perfect. The couscous side was a stunner. Boiled, I believe the veggies were boiled, I've never had such flavorful veggies down in this style before. The roasted potato app was amazingly seasoned! I'm a huge fan of Spanish style potatoes bravas but these were taking the number 1 position over those. In a town with so many chains and steak/seafood places, this restaurant is one of a kind. Ordered some Baklava to take back to our hotel for later tonight and can't wait to try it. Whatever you had planned for dinner tonight, cancel it and come here. I really love mediterranean food and have seen all the great reviews and REALLY wanted to love this place. Let me start this by saying this place had maybe 14 tables and 4 servers.. and it was happy hour (we planned our reservation around happy hour). Unfortunately, we were sat and we were told our server wasn't here yet and that we would need to wait 5 minutes. After 15 minutes of waiting just be greeted we ordered drinks. drinks took 30 minutes to get to us. after we got our drinks she never reappeared. after waiting another 15 minutes she got our appetizer order (asked if this was under the happy hour price, she stated she was a manager and she could ring it in like that seeing as we were in the happy hour time frame) and gave out appetizers in a fast manner surprising for the beginning timing of the meal. She never came back for refills, to ask if we were okay or to take our dinner order. After waiting again another 30 minutes i got up to find the woman and asked for the bill. it took her 10 minutes just to come back and hand us the bill. During all this time she looked annoyed to have us and seemed as though we were an issue to her. Due to the lack of service, speed and inconsistency we decided to pay our bill for just the appetizers and leave. she assured us she would comp all the drinks and charge us just for the appetizers. when we were given the bill it was $160 DOLLARS FOR JUST 6 appetizers (that were supposed to be half of??? would equate to about $10 per appetizer!!) bread with the appetizers costed an extra $2 per bread as we had ordered 6 appetizers and were given 5 pieces of bread?? no drinks on a happy hour price?? there's no way. not wanting to make our party wait any longer and miss out on an actual great restaurant and avoid further frustration we paid and left. i'm truly disappointed with this as i had such high expectations for this place. maybe it was an off night?? or they weren't staffed appropriately but there was not enough tables to make up for the lack of well.. pretty much everything...Looking further into other reviews and documents they did not pass a section of their DHEC review (it states online they failed the no rodent or pests observed) very glad we left.. read more
