I've never had a dish, at Atomic, that i didn't like. Their food is very good. The beer is very hit or miss.

Arrived around 545 a Tuesday night and the place was about half full. It seemed to continue to fill for at least the next 30-45 min. I share this because clearly people like this place. Another bonus was our cheerful server. The menus is quite varied and I appreciated some of their philosophies - eating is a social event, so board games are offered in place of TVs. I'm really not a great judge of beer, but I thought my porter was pretty good. I expected so much more from the pizza. A place the highlights their wood fired pizza oven as the cornerstone of their kitchen better have good pizza. Alas, this was not the case for Atomic. I was shocked at the girth of what was supposed to be a thin crust pizza. The pizza crust was pretty thin, but there were so many toppings which weren't really discernible underneath all the cheese. Oh, and the yellow cheese really gave me pause. It's been a while since I've seen yellow cheese on a pizza. Crust was an awful amalgamation of thin cake-like dough. It just goes to show there is much more to great pizza than a wood-fired pizza oven. read more

Passing through Richland visiting a friend and stopped in for a pizza and a beer . The pizza was good....daughter and friend's wife had a pepperoni pizza while my friend and I split an Atomic Red -- Red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, red bell pepper, red onion, fresh jalapenos and a dash of crushed red pepper. Beer was good- had a Half-Life Hefeweizen - Get yer wheaties! Made with 60% wheat. This cloudy and crisp beer is served with a slice of lemon in the American style. Enjoy the thirst quenching quality of our lightest beer. ABV 5.2% IBU 19 would go back and try some other pizzas if I get that opportunity! read more

I'm not a big pizza person so I was kind of hesitant to try here, but I do love beer so I though we'd give it a go. So glad we did! I had the lemon pepper chicken and it was sooo good! I hate chain restaurants these days, everything always tastes microwaved and either bland or over seasoned. Atomic gets it right! and the roasted potatoes with parm are a carb lovers dream! Tried a sampler of beer and although several were good I got a big glass of the dark delicious porter. For dessert we shared the HUGE porter brownie, gooey chocolate perfection! I really liked this place and have been back several times, each time awesome, I just wish I didn't end up dropping $50+ bucks each time though. read more

Visiting here from California and just ate the tastiest meal! This is the cutest little joint! Everyone was so friendly and the service is great. I highly recommend the potato soup and the warm bacon salad! I haven't eaten anything as tasty as this salad. And the Berry Cobbler!!! To die for. I'm sitting in here right now, and for being from out of town (Cleveland), where there are plenty of micro brews, I can tell you right now I have never been in a place like this, and that we definitely made the right place to eat. The soup is fantastic, the pork wings are better than any "real" wings I've ever had. I've had a lot of fun sampling the beers they make here, specifically the IPAs. I'm in town for only a few days, and am planning on being back tomorrow. read more

For sure get the potato soup. I had the grinder sandwich and it was fantastic. If you get there by 5pm you can get the lunch special which is two pieces of pizza, salad or soup for $9.00 (I think) very reasonable and good food. Will go back again for sure. Arrived on a busy Friday night and seating for our group of seven took about five minutes, but that is understandable. The place is totally family friendly even though it is a brewpub. It is well decorated and the food is excellent. I ordered the Barcelona Pizza and would wholeheartedly recommend it. It has pesto sauce, mozzarella, chicken, artichokes, spinach, and sun dried tomatoes on a wonderfully chewy and yet thin crust. It's pricing is rather high, my bill split with a friend was still $12 with a drink, however, the food and atmosphere made it well worth the money. read more

Great 1st experience. Came on a Monday afternoon with no expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised. Food was tasty and well priced. Sampled a couple beers and settled on the Oatmeal Stout and I love it! Outside seating area is a little small but at least you have the option. The crew were all very nice and helpful. We stopped here for pizza and beer during a long drive home. The staff was great, and our server was super helpful and fun to chat with. The house beers we had - the Atomic Amber and the Mighty Columbia Imperial IPA - were both good but neither were outstanding. I used to be a big fan of Atomic Ale: great local flavor and decor, games to play while you wait, Atomic Red pizza is very tasty (although a little inconsistent), grinder used to be good too. But I have grown tired of terrible service--once sitting at a table for 20 minutes without any recognition that we were there let alone service, another time asking on two separate occasions for a glass of water and getting none, the apparent shrinking of the grinder into a child's sandwich. Attention by staff has always been minimal. The beer has never been that great. Richland can do much better, and this restaurant will pass away unless it grows up into a service organization. read more

I am giving this group of a four star review because I can. The food was good have a grinder sandwich and potatoes and then adults in the spinach artichoke crab appetizer and it was acceptable to my palette. I normally don't like seafood but I like this dish the grinder tasted like eating pizza on a sandwich how can you go wrong with that I would definitely come back to this place again the only downfall to this place when the waitress had no working knowledge of the beer read more

We had dinner here a few nights ago. Great beer! That's important. People were friendly and service was very good. I've been here a few times in the past and liked the food, but perhaps things have changed. The pizza crust was quite literally no different than any frozen pizza from the grocery. Hard, dense and tasteless. Toppings were meager. The appetizer (quesadilla) was unremarkable. The side salads were likewise unremarkable -- several brown pieces to be removed. But ... the beer was good. Total damage for 1 pizza, 1 appetizer, 2 side salads and 2 beers: $52 (plus tip). read more

Locally owned and operated, this is a true Richland land mark (A Richland-mark). I grew up in Richland and always make a point of having a Beer at Atomic when I come home. The beers are top notch, the food is excellent and the staff is friendly and helpful. Totally forgettable. Went here for mouth watering pizza and was quickly reminded that crust is king. This was totally stiff and tasteless. Not any special toppings to make up for the lackluster quality. Typical brews but nothing to bring us back when the main attraction is so so. read more

Cool little brewery! They have a few good selections of in-house brew and pretty good food. If you dig the beer get a growler on your way out. The wait for food can be long but that's just all the more reason to sample the beer. The staff is pretty reliable from my experience. read more
