Manchester Avenue seems to carry the energy, a long run of neon and murals and patios. I saw rainbow flags and dive bars and a few spots that seem just a little scruffy around the edges that keep the place from turning into a theme park version of itself. I have been here on foot and by car. By car, the parking was easy enough as long as you're aware of the hydrants and driveways so you don't block either. On food, the blocks are short and the sidewalks are wide enough that you never feel squeezed. The neighborhood feels expressive and welcoming, like it wants you to see the art, feel the music and take in the color.
