I initially…read morereached out to him because I wanted more than the "2 doors and 1 motion detector" intro package offered by the national chains. Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

While I was waiting for the technician to arrive, I fiddled with the settings and ended up resolving the issue on my own. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Very fair, trustworthy, and refreshing to deal with a company that operates with integrity. Highly recommend for your security needs!

When I signed up with Vivint, the salesman said there was a special promotion that included a discount if the installation was completed that day. The installer came that night and was there till after 11pm installing my panel--so my young son and I were alone with this stranger after 11 pm! He was unprofessional (complaining about his boss), he borrowed my drill because he didn't have the right tools and then took it with him when he left(!), and he did such an ugly job with the installation. I'm also pretty sure he filled out the customer evaluation himself and didn't give me a chance to. When I called the company to fix these problems--albeit after the 120 days allowed for customers to complain--they charged me a $99 service fee, offering me only a $15 credit to my account for my inconvenience. I think the company has good products but they butchered this installation job and didn't make up for it when they could have. They are offering $300 if I refer them to other customers, but I will not be taking them up on that offer because I do not recommend them.
