It was quite stressful and frightening to realize that we were at this point in her life and would have to trust in others to take care of her. We love the staff and so does our mother. They treat her with such kindness and care. It is such a relief to have such wonderful people care for our mother. They treat her like she is their family member, not just a resident at the property they work at. During COVID, it is especially hard as we are not able to visit on a regular basis and do the things we typically would for her however the staff is always there to assist us in whatever we need. During this disturbing time they have provided my mother and the other residents with a safe and healthy environment and adhere to all the health guidelines. I would highly recommend making this your loved ones new home if you should be looking for an assisted living/memory care property. They made the most challenging and stressful part of my life much more manageable, because I was confident that they cared for my dad as much as I did. The facility is just like someone's home, a very clean home. Meals are home-cooked. The staff know each resident, and they are always, ALWAYS patient and kind. There are activities. Staff manage medications impeccably. The health, safety, and comfort of the residents is at top of mind of every staff member. It's impossible for me to sing their praises high enough. The resort-like atmosphere of those places was very appealing to us, as younger adults, but once you got past the flashiness, it was always missing was the love and care you get when living in a smaller place. The attention our mom receives now is better than even we could give her in our own home. She fell in love with Mayfield because it reminded her of her own house and she feels like she is living with family - and the staff has truly become our extended family. With the assistance of the care team and their lead of Debbie Baillargeon, he has been in much better care than most during COVID in Georgia and we are very fortunate that Tapestry maintains all the precautions and cares so much for the residents. We can ask for just about anything and they try their best to accommodate. Arrange FaceTime calls special meal treats and extra check ins with our father. Lisa Lewis, the Director is wonderful! I always feel I have someone to talk to and hear back from. We feel we have made a good decision. The facility has two wonderful receptionists that switch off, and do the best job. But let me tell you, they will not even do the bare minimum that is part of the rental contract because they are always "under-staffed". The weekly cleanings, laundry and sheet changes do not happen regularly if at all! If and when they do clean, it's mediocre at best. The food is inedible. Several occasions they lost our family members medications and spent days trying to locate them while she was left without her diabetic monitors among other crucial medications. And you will be charged a ridiculous amount for a "care plan" and within weeks to months they will do another assessment without any communication and double the monthly care plan, this is how they make their money. Charging lower rent and ridiculous amounts for "care plans" that are bogus and unwarranted. AND, they won't even do the additional items they claim they need assistance with like showering and dressing. and God help your loved one if they push the "panic button" they are given to wear around their neck because they have an emergency, the staff is not coming to help at any type of pace that would be acceptable in a true emergency. I could go on forever about the unscrupulous practices happening in the place. The management team, accounting and care team will not respond to emails and will hide from you in their offices. Absolute incompetence. Stay away, so many other great options in this area of town.

We probably went on over 20 tours around the Alpharetta/Johns Creek/Roswell area. It's an incredibly overwhelming process, especially when the move has to happen fast and from out of state. There were a lot of places out there that were nice, but none that were as welcoming as Vitality. They ensured that I, as the daughter dealing with all this, was ok first, and then they helped walk me through each step. Every single person that works here really loves what they do and wants to be there. That is rare to find, especially in elder care! They are all incredibly communicative, proactive, caring, and genuinely good people. The building is open, bright, and spacious! The rooms are big and bright (also hard to find!). The food is excellent, there are lots of options, and they will even assist you with dietary adjustments. There are a lot of activities, and they highly encourage residents to get involved. My dad is already leading 3 or 4 different spiritual study groups. He really loves it here, and I can rest easy knowing he is being well taken care of. I'm so grateful we found this place!
