EXCELLENT INITIAL AND FOLLOWUP SERVICE! We hired the Attic Crew two years ago for home rodent abatement, a common but serious proplem in Seattle. They did an OUTSTANDING job finding and sealing the entry points, then clearing the old insulation and replacing with minty fresh new contemporary insulation. With the summer coming, we asked the Attic Crew to reinspect our attic fan and advise on possibly adding more. The crew arrived on time, with all their equipment, discussed our project needs with us, then promptly carried out the inspection. The Attic Crew report was A) our equipment was running fine, and needed no additional service. B) considering the tight attic space, the current fans were sufficient and no more would be needed. The whole interaction with Attic Crew from the very beginning with the initial quote through to the job completion made us feel completely well taken care of. They're efficient and completely thorough. Shout out to the on-site project manager, Ricky Ricardo (yes, his real name, like the character from I Love Lucy, but he's a great sport about it) - who came early and stayed late to make sure we knew what was going on and were fully satisfied with the complete job, with a walkthrough and pictures of everything from end to end. Ricky is a guy who cares about a job done right and cares that the customers are completely comfortable, happy, and satisfied. Ricky came in before the crew started, walked us through how the job would go, made sure that all of our personal belongings were moved far away or protected by plastic throughout the garage and all the way through to the crawlspace access near the kitchen. The taped-up plastic "hallway" they created to prevent fiberglass and biohazard waste from leaking out into the house was going to block off part of the house, so Ricky made sure that we would have access to everything we needed, and offered to cut holes or coordinate crossings through as necessary. For the 3.5 years we've lived in this house I've been scared to even put my head down in the crawlspace, and by the end of the job I was ready to stand in there and take my own pictures of the space. Thankfully I didn't even have to take my own pictures, because Ricky organized sending me hundreds of before and after pictures from everyone on the crew. I have so many pictures now I could draw a pretty good map of my crawlspace without ever crawling through it. The price (spoiler: great!) Where other companies tried to quote for a smaller scope of work to keep costs within our budget, Attic Crew combined a completely thorough top-to-bottom job with guaranteed PSE rebates (as appropriate to our case) to meet our budget and then some. This was actually the best quote we got in two ways. First, this job was scoped to everything we wanted and more, no cutting corners. Second, it was the cheapest quote overall by about $500 thanks to PSE rebates that Attic Crew guarantees. Attic Crew takes care of the PSE rebates on their end, no paperwork for us. They included line items on the quote to show us how much we were saving from the rebates, but the sales rep, Tom, guaranteed me that even if they somehow don't qualify for the rebate from PSE, they will never charge that back to us. On top of that, they were quick to schedule the work only a week after we paid the deposit. The scope of work (extremely thorough): Removal of all old insulation and vapor barrier. Biohazard cleanout and sanitation. Crack sealing (foam, mesh, and/or cement as appropriate). Air sealing around any penetrations (vents, ducts, wires) into the house. Upgrade from 4" R-17 to 10" R-30 fiberglass insulation. Upgrade to 10-mil thickness vapor barrier. Replace dryer duct from flexible to rigid aluminum. The job was very thorough to improve our home efficiency and lock in the PSE rebates. As a bonus, they included cleanout of an abandoned rat's nest in a cabinet in the corner of the garage that the previous owner left us as a "gift" and we'd never had the equipment or PPE to properly deal with, and any rodent droppings found in the garage as well. Literally the only (very minor) issue we had was that we'd scheduled the quote on a day that turned out to be a Monday holiday. The communications were a little unclear referring to "tomorrow" rather than a specific date and ultimately they confirmed the appointment for the next business day. No harm done. read more

They were very responsive and was able to come to my house in very little notice. I was looking to get my HVAC system maintenanced and they charged $250 for it. I learned later that other places were charging from $150 to $200 for this same service. I also learned that they're just starting up the business so they had a very experienced technician do the work while the other person is learning the job. After spending some time, they found other potential problems with the exhaust ducts and wanted to charge me $150 for parts and $125 for labor. The parts are just pieces of air ducts that can be purchased for $10 a piece. Overall, I did not hate the experience nor did I like it. I felt like they were trying to swindle me on the air ducts and they over charge for the maintenance. If you are starting a new business, then this is not the way to earn customers or their trust or business. read more

Are attic was a disaster of 70 year old insulation and mold. Eric and his team arrived 4 days after our initial call and estimate. They replaced all insulation, removed massive amounts of mold, repaired and insulated all hvac tubing, sealed flooring, installed strip installation on the floor, and installed a solar power air vent on the roof. Simply Amazing! I had Joey and his attic crew complete work on my house yesterday and I can't tell you all how kind, professional, respectful of my property, stress-free, and incredibly quick with their work. I have a little under 1100sq/ft house and needed my attic to be rodent proofed and reinsulated. I also had a crawlspace under the house that needed rodent sanitation as well as a new vapor barrier put in. I phoned the company to inquire about their services. We hired Attic Crew 2 years ago. They removed and replaced all of our insulation with non-fiberglass product, applied mold remediation, completely sealed our little house (1K Sq ft) sanitized and put down a new vapor barrier and cleaned out our HVAC system etc. We got a couple of other estimates, Attic Crew was not the cheapest; but they were not far off. I was confused by contradictory advise from two different vendors and what I needed to do to protect a new DADA we built. He evaluated the crawl space, took pictures and gave me some common sense advise, including their service would be overkill for my situation. They have come out TWICE since sealing our house, once to block a trap door that hadnt been sealed and unexpectedly allowed access to a pest. Second trip out, we had trapped a rodent in the crawlspace which shocked us. The tech found the entry point and sealed it. The critter had weakened the mesh adjacent to an air conditioner pipe and entered there. Very keen eyes and saved us from future infestation and more entry. Great team, very honest and honorable. Two months ago we started getting quotes to insulate our attic and crawl space, we had 3 companies come to our home and 1 just emailed a quote without looking at the work. we received quotes from $10K to 17K and decided that two of them would not be acceptable before we even received the quotes due to there estimators and the way they entered our home with lack of concern and cleanliness. one of the estimator placed his dirty jacket on your couch before looking into the attic so just think what the work crews would do. after reviewing the quotes we chose ATTIC CREW because the estimator was very thorough, clean and clear with what they would do for us. there quote was also the most complete and in the middle of the pack with costs. we scheduled the work and the Angie in the office and she was great to work with just a few days prior to the work we asked to reschedule and they did without any issue, the office kept in touch a few days prior to the revised date and again called me the day before to confirm we were ready. I received a call from Joey the project manager the morning that they were arriving 15 minutes prior to them showing up on time. when he arrived he called again and we met him at the door, he was very nice and professional and removed his shoes when entering our home to walk the project. he discussed everything with us how the work would be done and how the crew would protect our home. Joey and his crew did a great job top-to-bottom to protect my investment in a 2300 sf, 35-year old, triple-wide modular home I recently bought. In the attic, they rodent-proofed, replaced soiled insulation, sanitized and remediated mold, and fixed an improperly ducted bathroom vent that was venting moist air into my attic creating conditions for mold. In the crawlspace, they did a ton of work! They replaced infested insulation, re-wrapped HVAC vents with rodent resistent material, discovered and remediated mold, added perimeter French drains and sump pump with front yard drainfield to deal with a failed downspout drainage system that was creating several inches of standing water (and contributing to mold) during / after heavy rains, replaced & repaired failed concrete skirting, added an interior concrete curtain wall for rodent exclusion, fixed the crawlspace entry opening and door to keep critters out, and replaced old & damaged 3 mil vapor barrier with sturdy 10 mil. Joey communicated regularly and thoroughly about all aspects of this complex and evolving project. The crew was at my home for several days working on a tight timeline before my move-in date. They adapted around a the plumbing contractors schedule for replacing old pipes with PEX, which had to happen after soiled insulation and vapor barrier were out but before the new materials went in. We recently had our roof replaced because it was leaking and we knew we had mold in the attic space, so I contacted a few vendors to get estimates for mold remediation and new insulation. Jay did a thorough job on the estimate and said we only needed to do 1 attic, not both. They sent photos along with the estimate and explained the process and answered all our questions. This was in sharp contrast to the first company we talked to. We had one other vendor lined up to do an inspection and canceled it because we didn't think they could top it and didn't want to wait another week (it's not always about price for us). On Friday December 22, 2018, I realized I had a leak in a drain pipe under my house in the crawl space. The water was two feet deep in some areas. I was hosting a large Christmas Dinner in three days. I was truly in a panic, considering that it was Friday and the weekend before Christmas. I called the plumber and OMAC. Tom came out to look at some recent ceiling damage from roof shingles that were torn off during a windstorm. We were obviously very concerned about attic water damage, mold, and all kinds of problems. Tom was incredibly easy to work with, friendly, prompt, and professional. He explained things clearly, and did a complete and thorough inspection of our attic, not just related to the damage but for all other signs of pests, rodent access, ventillation, insulation levels -- literally everything. Much to our (delighted) surprise, he found no additional issues beyond the ceiling damage (which we already knew about), and gave us a clean bill of health. He didn't even charge for the inspection! I was prepared for a laundry list of expensive upselling, and Tom did none of that -- he found nothing, and was refreshingly and transparently honest. In this day and age, finding a professional you can trust not to sell you on unnecessary work is a rare and valuable thing.
